I came here from a Netflix show called Bullshit, when they had a question about Nate Mercereau and the Golden Gate Bridge... had to hear this for myself !! It's awesome !!!
I just read about the GG Bridge humming in the Chronicle two weeks ago, and being a musician had to listen to the duet. Mesmerizing, with the drone of the minor third along with the guitar.
I grew up in harbour town close to the shipyard. The singing of the bridge is somehow very similar to the sound of the place where I spent most of my childhood and it is somehow hardwired into my brain and I didn't even know it before I found this. I needed this...
I was half expecting Waters, Mason and Wright to appear one by one and set up their gear, it was so reminiscent of the start of Pink Floyd at Pompeii*. *Which, if you haven't already seen it, I recommend you check it out.
So epic! I just read about this recording and had to find out more regarding the "hum". I watched a couple news (kpix, etc) stories.. immediate thought, I have to come hear it for self! Especially, since rumors of "fixing". Really cool you created this project! So awesome
Oy, I had edited previous comment to say that despite being flat broke I did go ahead and pay for the download/stream because it's worth it. My apologies if my post appears more than once, which YT seems to want to do. Thank you again, I love the sound of this and your synthesis.
I heard about this from Andre 3000 talking about it yesterday at the Atlanta Jazz Festival. I don't know how he came up with this, but it's definitely dope!
I just heard a bit of this on NPR. Thank you for producing this music. As others have said, this reminds me very much of early Pink Floyd , especially Echoes. It also reminds me of a "singing bridge" near where I live. I love this. Thank you.

OMG I can see why folks I know in San Francisco are talking about the bridge noise. I'd go crazy if I had to hear that all night. For those not in San Francisco, this is a recent development. The bridge maintainers added something to the bridge that is making it whistle like that.
Came here from Khabarhar btw what a beautiful moment you would've had while making this masterpiece Those sounds, the air, the scenery and idea 💡 everything was picture perfect.
I love this. What an eerie, beautiful combination and interesting story. Our front door has a metal weather strip. When it gets really windy and the wind hits our door just right, the it makes a discordant multiple woodwinds sound with that whole strip acting as a reed! You can hear it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/qGDJOc-j1iM/v-deo.html
Leaving a comment because I seen this dude at the Atlanta Jazz Festival playing with 3 stacks, who said we need to check out this duet. Thank you all.

Nice video. Did you know that Lisbon (Portugal) has a bridge similar to The Golden Gate and it is called The 25th April Bridge

Could be considered the world’s largest instrument for that time
Brian Eno Landscape extra track. Dead ringer. ❤
Curious as to how high the winds have to be for the bridge to "hum"?
💜
Is the blue box an old Roland GR-300?
This is lovely. Any chance you could share which synth pedal you are using?
Nice Roland GR-300!
I'm curious to know what frequency the bridge is humming at. This was beautiful.
This is sound of bridge cable when air touch and cross this cable.😊
Richard Osman’s House of Games brought me here, it appeared as a question in one of the rounds today (22/03/2024)

The description of the video explains it quite clearly. Not sure why you felt the need for the asinine comment.
