I've met these guys the original lead singer ,is an AWESOME INTELLIGENT DUDE,SUPER NICE. this song literally saved my life back in the early 2000s,I was addicted to heroin,in the process of a nasty divorce,held a gun to my head a couple times,but this song playing at the time somehow prevented it,I can feel myself back in that situation everytime I hear it now,that's a place I don't wish on my worst enemy....

I'm broken I need to it my feet on solid ground n I don't know how so my kids will have a solid foundation I'm scared of the darkness in me n pray that I could get back to a main Street life for they will be healthy individuals n not have to learn about life from the streets like I did I went to the dark sid e because o f a traumatic experience n when I was a child I had looked for mending my brokenness in drugs it is my only friend then but it's an evil world n the darkness is bigger then ever it tries to take my light so the balance of not saying fuck it all no one needs me anyway is really loud I have to keep my heart so the balance I battle day by day I just Pray I can overcome this n free my burdens so my kids can be freed of being ripped out of my arms n it's not easy but I am going to break my chains of degrading my children n that they can forgive me I love them so much that I can't explain in words but I would take all the abuse before I let them see this lifestyle I call the streets my home cuz that's my comfort I lost my mind n trying to repair the damage in me lost girl...
