Great documentary. I remember liking Dark Glasses. It felt like a return to form.
@@johnsmith8906 Thanks for watching. Yeah, Dark Glasses got mixed reviews but I loved it, felt like he really worked hard on it and it's a beautiful looking movie.
I am glad Dark Glasses dubbed in "Italian" original language as most of Argento's movies are dubbed in English, on the other hand it's good to see Dario Argento is back with a new horror movie.
Great work, dude. I didn't love Dark Glasses half as much, although it could always change I suppose. Hope we get another Argento video in future.
I've yet to see Dark Glasses. I think my favourite is Tenebrae. It is amazing.
@@PerryCJamesUK Thanks for watching. I agree Tenebrae is a classic film it says alot about Argento's style and themes. Wonderful actors too, Saxon is great. Hopefully I made a strong case for Dark Glasses, let me know what you think If you decide to give it a watch. Thanks again.
@@johnrenneysboneyardcinema I will definitely be watching it in the very near future! Great show by the way. 10/10
Wonderful video
Thanks for watching, your comment means a lot to me. I really wanted to do Argento justice and show my appreciation for the work, he is a great filmmaker. Thanks again.
@@johnrenneysboneyardcinema Spent this morning binging your videos and I feel like I’ve come across a gem of a channel. Your knowledge of and passion for cinema make your videos really fun to watch!:)
My favorite Argento film is Trauma❤. And of course the witches trilogy but Trauma has a special place. Piper Laurie was absolutely beautiful in that particular film.
Yeah Trauma is a great film, Savini's effects are fantastic and the cast is so well put together, Dourif and Forrest are two of my favourites. :)
@@johnrenneysboneyardcinema 💖💖. The quirky music gave it a special flare
Despite its lukewarm response i rather enjoyed dark glasses
I suspect it will get more love down the line . I think peaple may for some reson thought it was going to be more like suspiria. Which it wasnt it was more low key than some of the more garish vibrant colour of some of his 70s 80s films
But yea you nailed it in your observation that agento finally nailed shooting on digital. This is the most like a proper film argento has pulled off since sleepless
Will there be spoilers?
Yeah, best to watch the movie first. I breakdown some of what happens in a few scenes of Dark Glasses, I don't name the killer but you see a lot of the style, cinematography and clips.
