Great review. I currently found at the thrift stores, 2010 and 3001 as hardback, so am looking out for the other two, (paperback or hardcover) and then read the whole series. Have you read the Rama books? The first was written by Arthur C Clarke, and the three following books in collaboration with Gentry Lee. I think the trilogy of books were better than the first. Certainly there was more scope to expand on the original idea! A thoroughly enjoyable read and worth adding to the tbr.
I did not know about the 3rd book for a long time. I read the first two books, then find out about 3001 the last odyssey and read it... Later find out about the 2061 but never read it because felt a bit of frustration at the time.. I will try to find a copy but they are hard to find in my small country (translated)
3001 is next for me! I think he intentionally wrote them so they could be read quite easily even if you hadn't read the others. Highly recommend reading 2061
Just picked up a lovely 1958 copy of I, Robot. Looking forward to reading it. Best wishes and happy reading to you.

Thanks! I think I read Rama while resting in a youth hostel in Rome back in ‘95 but the memory is a vague one. Definitely want to read them all!
Have only read the 2001 book. You inspire me to finally read these books, that have been sitting on my shelf for many years now. Thanks
Great! I think you’ll enjoy them. They are the complete opposite of Phantastes 😝
Yet another series I need to read. For some reason I always had the impression the books after 2001 weren't worth it, so I'm glad to hear they are.
Oh yeah, definitely worth it
