Amazes me how many people are taken in thinking this guy actually restores anything. Starts with the 'finished product' and films it's destruction in reverse. He knocks out a car a month where a full restoration of a burned out wreck would take him years, and close on $150,000 to achieve at commercial rates. SMH
Rebuilding an automatic transmission without replacing any of the sealing rings and checking for valve body hangups is effectively a waste of time. Will slip and burn. Not to mention none of the clutches or bands were replaced…
Thanks for sharing. Interesting to watch the details. But please don't claim that this Audi "Supercar" was ever worth 5 m Dollars. You could buy that car here in Europe for about 30.000 $ when he was coming brandnew from the production line into vending store....or do you think of another kind of Dollars?
Back in the late 70's my mate had an RD200 motorbike and decided that it needed a decoke, the process for this was to put it in my dads garage and proceed to take everything apart, every nut, bot and washer came off, all the seals and orings were removed, even the carbs got stripped down. There it sat for weeks till eventually my dad got pissed off and told us to put it back together again or he was going to take all the bits to the dump, so one weekend we got some beers and a big lump of dope and started trying to put it back together again, needless to say, putting it back together wasnt as easy as taking it apart and being stoned half of the time didnt help. Long story short, we got it back together and looked at collection of nuts, bolts, washers and orings that we had left, but hey - it'll be alright, they were obviously surplus to requirement, the battery was flat, so Ian decided to bump start it and it started ok, well, by ok I mean thats where we discovered that we had put the carb throttle sliders in upside down and the throttle was wide open. Off up the road Ian went with the front wheel in the air, trying desperately to hang onto the screaming bike. The story pretty much ends here, he got it under control, we rectified the carbs and he rode it for another couple of years, WITHOUT any issues from the left over bits

The restorations are excellent but the downside is that they have an overstock of pink paint haha. All the cars are painted pink. We want to see one painted in white, yellow or black.😉
