Probably my 3rd or 4th time watching through the series. This episode is great. I love the emotional attachment and nostalgia. I think a lot of us can identify with that. To be honest, I don’t really play games or collect them anymore (I’m into movies & comics), but I still love seeing this stuff. Reminds me of the good old days.
UA-cam is being crap today. Took forever to upload this and process it, and it STILL isn't in HD yet. It would help us out a lot if you shared this episode out in social media because I know people will be missing it in their sub box. Thank you for your awesome support!! Also follow us on Twitter to stay up to date on our release schedule.
To be honest the "power of suggestion" trick was a golden piece of advice most of us overlooked. It took billy 50 episodes to be comfortable to share something subtle but infinitely helpful to collectors. That's stuff most negotiators never like to share about their dealings, beyond just swap meets.
2 years later from your comment and this is STILL the case! They should have at least 1 mil. I've been watching this show for the first time starting 2 weeks ago and I'm addicted. The fact that they are only at 120k subs while other people go viral from stupid crap is just not cool.
I'm back a little over a year later on my second rewatch of the series (this makes 3 now) and they STILL deserve way more subscribers. 132k at the time of this comment. They need at least a mil for all the effort and great vids they've put out.
13:46 haha. Very fun episode. Those KB Toys cabinets brought back some good memories. Game manuals build up my anticipation on the trip back home, I also brought them to school.
Those cabinets look amazing. Glad you were able to clean them off without too much damage to them underneath. Cannot wait to see the finished product all setup in all of your game rooms.
nice job all of you guys and everyone else behind the scenes. the UK thanks you. Ive sadly been unemployed for 8 months and thanks to you guys you have uplifted me and gave me so much joy from watching all your videos in my sad time. thanks so much
Never in my life have I seen that many games at a thrift store... Wait... Never in my life have I seen anything but ps2 sports titles at a thrift store!
Even though the N64 logo got messed up, fortunately the logo is simple enough that you should be able to repaint it with some painter's tape and spray paint, or a sticker. =D Glad everything worked out for you guys!
I literally LOLed when Jay said "you want to go tomorrow?!" Totally stealing the head nod tactic when I go to cons and haggle, thank you, Billy! I was all smiles watching as the paint came off after you guys tried that instant remover. Great stuff. It doesn't have to always be about finding super rare games. Sometimes it's cool to just see you guys go out and strike commons. That's the way game chasing go.
Good episode. Probably the most likeable that Chris has been in this series yet. Of course the HD version finally showed up after I finished watching it in 360p. Guess I'll just have to watch it again tomorrow! Thanks Billy and Jay for the great show.
I totally get where Chris is coming from. Collecting games for me has been as much about reconnecting with my past as it has been about having a library of games to play. There is something to be said for the feelings and memories that come rushing back when you find a game that you haven't played in years. It's pretty impactful.
I think you will find like 80% of hardcore retro gamers/collectors agree with you. It's typically considered a given or 'pro tip' to collect what you know/remember. I 100% agree with you, and Chris is doing the right thing, there. Need to buy what you remember/want to play. Don't just buy 500 games for no reason. Going into 2019 I have so many ideas and so many things to get back into it, and, of course, a long list of video games I really need to get back!
I've been a casual collector since the 90's.....Fantastic job guys....I had always subscribed to AVGN and Pat & Ian, but I just binge watched like every damn one of your episodes this week after work every day. You got a new sub now for sure. Keep it going. BTW I need a Little Samson. Billy had me in tears laughing so hard when he did the whole Star Wars dialogue in the cantina....."He doesn't like you....I don't like you EITHER...." lol....My wife thought I was nuts laughing my ass off. (That must've been like 20 eps ago. Anyhow.... Bravo Chodes!
I love when someone finds a part of what they remember having good times playing. I am finding games here that make me so glad to get to enjoy them again. Great show and those display cases are Sweet!
I was having a really bad morning and was in a terrible mood. Then I saw this in my sub feed and laughed like crazy. Thanks for making my day better, fellas :)
Billy's like the viking of game chasing 😀 great episode guys. For me, its one, if not the best show on youtube. Always look forward to it, thankyou!! 👍
Great show and a great series. Started watching from episode 1 this past Wednesday, got hooked and watched the rest of the series including the minichode episodes, finished up watching the latest episode on Sunday. Now what the hell am I supposed to do for the rest of the day! Can't wait for the next episode, getting some serious withdrawal symptoms! Keep up the great work guys!
Those KB Toys cases are awesome. I was a little skeptical once the pressure washer came out but honestly they turned out great. A very cool piece of history. Congrats on the find.
Great episode guys as usual, These cabinets are awesome and its great you could save them from possible being thrown away or lost forever. and I agree collecting these games is about reconnecting with your past and reliving those memories. keep making videos ive loved the show from day one. thank you billy and jay and everyone involved with show.
Thank god you guys finally put up a new episode. I've watched and re-watched everything on your you tube channel and final bosses site. Good shit fellas, can't wait for more to come.
Great episode. Finding games that you had when you were young is extra special. Started collecting my favorites ( which i had sold over the years ) much due to inspiration from your show. I agree with Jay about Mission Impossible. I have it for PS1 and ive enjoyed it very much.
I was here for the very first episode and I'm proud of how much you guys evolved. Ever since the start the quality and production levels of the show impressed me, but now it's really fucking GOOD. Also Chris is a great guest, usually guests are fucking terrible and feel like a weight on the show or whatever it is, but Chris is awesome because he's a new guy gettingo into the shit we love. It's one thing to circlejerk around others who enjoy retro gaming, but to see an old guy who played these games getting into collecting them after so many years is a lot more interesting. Please always keep Chris, Dodongo and Melvin in the show.
Thanks to you guys setting up the convention Retropalooza last year, I managed to get one of the games I've been looking for quite awhile. That game was Swat Kats for the snes. We spent hours over our grandmother's apartment playing that game because we only rented it for 2 nights from Blockbuster. So we had to beat the game within that time frame. We managed to beat it in 24 hours total...that includes an over night pause session while went to sleep. Fun times. There's only two more retro games I'm looking for and that's The Adventures of Batman & Robin/ Final Fight Guy both for the snes. Maybe you guys will be fortunate enough to find copies of them. They're really cool games. Awesome video as always doods!
What a memory reviving episode this is. Used to work at a K*B's before the chain died off. In fact, ever since America's equality of dollar and life have been slipping, the whole mall scene is becoming a fading memory that future generations may never know about. Must say that paint remover stuff is like magic. Gets rid of the things you want gone without removing the rest. Yup. It's magic stuff. Speaking of memories, that's thrift place is truly a find. Like they absorb all the attic game cleanings and are clueless about the practice of price trend checking via the internet. I almost want to say you guys cheated and just shopped one of your homes, instead. Very nice find. Like going back in time.
+jupreindeer So did they have cases like these where you worked? We are still trying to figure out if it was special to this store or if they were at all of them, because we can't find ANY pics of them online.
+The Game Chasers I actually do not remember seeing any special video game shelves like that there at all. Come to think of it, I'm not sure that branch was stocking any video games at all. It was only a seasonal job when they were extremely busy and just keeping the toys off the floor was a 24/7 job. But, if they had games, a part of my 'direct from register' pay probably would have just gone right back. This was around the time that the 'Toy Story' movies were in theaters, as I clearly remember this crazy two foot TS alien demo that insanely hyper and seemed to run on batteries that never ran down. So, maybe the franchise gave up on games at some point? Would explain why they were painted.
+The Game Chasers Every K*B that I have been in had these cases. Toys R Us had them in the 90's too. You guys are pressure washing wood, huge no no!! It may swell and then it's ruined. I suggested to you guys in last episode to use Citristrip. I'm tellin ya it works!!!
Holy crap, great episode... the suspense with the N64 cabinets was crazy, and that was awesome to see once the paint was off! And you have to stop with that sad music towards the end, that you play in other videos too. Gets me every time.... (sniff, sniff)
Great episode guys, pretty funny that you mixed up Ecco and Ecco Jr, then Road Rash 2 and 3 back to back but we know what you meant lol. Can't believe the pressure washer worked, I would've been so nervous about water damage but it looks like it came out really well. Long Live KB Toys!!!
If that's from the old run down mall in Grand Prairie then I also bought tons of games out of those cabinets!! Pretty cool stuff and I love all things the Game Chasers!!
Probably my 3rd or 4th time watching through the series. This episode is great. I love the emotional attachment and nostalgia. I think a lot of us can identify with that. +The Game Chasers Done and done.
+The Game Chasers Thanks for this, have a great weekend!
Fuck a apartment you need a house lol with all that cool games
+The Game Chasers What the fuck did Billy punch?! lol
:x 7:26
+Natural Progression lol a wall
To be honest the "power of suggestion" trick was a golden piece of advice most of us overlooked. It took billy 50 episodes to be comfortable to share something subtle but infinitely helpful to collectors. That's stuff most negotiators never like to share about their dealings, beyond just swap meets.
Most cerebral assassins do not share their secrets. Luckily Billy was caught slipping and now we all know. Well 8 years ago that is.
2022 Annual "Rewatch every video" from The Game Chasers from the start of the channel to now. Thank you reliving an amazing past.
Billy's transformation into Terl from Battlefield Earth is nearly complete
+Derek Bamford lmao!
Still LOLing to this day...
Those cabinets are looking dope!
Woah, Jeff you're here?
+SpaceHamster That they are, happy to see some of the other colors remained after the paint remover was applied.
+SpaceHamster Thanks dude! I'm very happy how they turned out.
+SpaceHamster wow crazy how good the paint came off and they got lucky they saw the logo
It still baffles me that you guys don't have more subscribers! You can't get much better quality content than this.
2 years later from your comment and this is STILL the case! They should have at least 1 mil. I've been watching this show for the first time starting 2 weeks ago and I'm addicted. The fact that they are only at 120k subs while other people go viral from stupid crap is just not cool.

13:46 haha.
Very fun episode. Those KB Toys cabinets brought back some good memories.

I love your guy’s channel so much!
Thank you!
Never in my life have I seen that many games at a thrift store... Wait... Never in my life have I seen anything but ps2 sports titles at a thrift store!
My local thrift store doesn't have any video games lmao
This is probably my favourite episode of The Game Chasers. I keep coming back to it now and then. I hope Chris will be in more episodes in the future.
Even though the N64 logo got messed up, fortunately the logo is simple enough that you should be able to repaint it with some painter's tape and spray paint, or a sticker. =D Glad everything worked out for you guys!
so glad they're making episodes again my favorite UA-cam show
That's awesome.
They honestly came out way better than I would have expected looking at them front the start.
Congratulations.
I don't know why I got so excited when that black paint started coming off..
I literally LOLed when Jay said "you want to go tomorrow?!" Totally stealing the head nod tactic when I go to cons and haggle, thank you, Billy! I hope chris gets one of these cabs, for a good price. He helped alot and he clearly looks like he has an emotional attachment
Good episode. Probably the most likeable that Chris has been in this series yet.
Of course the HD version finally showed up after I finished watching it in 360p. Guess I'll just have to watch it again tomorrow! Thanks Billy and Jay for the great show.
It's hella rad to see Chris make out like that. Dude is underrated as heck.
I totally get where Chris is coming from. Collecting games for me has been as much about reconnecting with my past as it has been about having a library of games to play. Good work cleaning up those cabinets and scoring some nice games guys. As always a fun and entertaining video. Thanks for sharing!
Billy is so greasy. Just seeing him makes me need a shower.
Billy's like the viking of game chasing 😀 great episode guys. For me, its one, if not the best show on youtube. Always look forward to it, thankyou!! 👍
Dude, that "Burst Man Theme" is definitely worth listening to.
Especially for the occasion of picking up a book store shelve.
Definitely worth it.

So happy to see that the black paint came off rather well! I'm sure you'll be able to touch them up just fine!
i love going back and watching these older videos. great PSA on history lol
That PlayStation stand... Such a find man!
Those KB Toys cases are awesome. I was a little skeptical once the pressure washer came out but honestly they turned out great. A very cool piece of history. Congrats on the find.

Another good episode guys thanks. Shame the blue paint started to peal off, but you did a good job in the end there. Cool stuff ;)
Great episode. Finding games that you had when you were young is extra special. Started collecting my favorites ( which i had sold over the years ) much due to inspiration from your show.
I agree with Jay about Mission Impossible. I have it for PS1 and ive enjoyed it very much.
oh wow that was so cool! Those cabinets are awesome! Way to go guys!
This cabinet cleaning was a montage straight from Samurai Cop. Looks effing amazing.
Yes finally, hello from Cyprus. Can't wait to see an update room/collection tour from both of you guys.
+Michael Georgiou Hello, Michael from Cyprus
Aww man that history lesson part had me crying aha 👍🏻
I do love. Good ramble 😆
I'm beginning to enjoy the random surprise of finding your new uploads on my feed.

Great editing guys as always. Thanks for putting in all the work for us.
great restoration job boys! nothing ventured nothing gained they cleaned up great.
Awesome episode guys! That's cool you were able to refurbish those two K.B. Toys cabinets.
Chris has slowly become one of my favorite people on this show.
I freaking love this show! very cool episode guys. Chris seems like a cool dude, it was kind of touching to see him find stuff.
Another fantastic episode lads... Well done and those cabinets look sick!!!!
I've starting Liking every Game Chaser video before I even watch it. You've earned your like before the Ad (because I don't use Adblock) is done.
Haha i do the exact same things, this guys deserve it

Im glad Chris is getting some more games finally. One episode should be collection videos
Who knew watching people remove paint could be so much fun!
I loved reading the game manuals as a kid too. Except I didn't take them to school, I took them to church. And the cabinets turned out awesome!
I get sooooo hyped when I see a new episode, just as much as an AVGN episode, and that's an achievement!
Montage with 80's music? YES PERFECT
This restoration made my day.
Yay!!! New Game Chasers!!!

Those display cases are looking pretty nice after that power wash. Such a cool find.
That was awesome work cleaning up the display cases!
Mission Impossible is a legit fun N64 game. LOVED playing that.
Holy crap, great episode... the suspense with the N64 cabinets was crazy, and that was awesome to see once the paint was off! And you have to stop with that sad music towards the end, that you play in other videos too. Gets me every time.... (sniff, sniff)

Thanks For A New Episode Guy's! Keep Up The Entertaining Work And Never STOP!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back with a new season. thanks guys
Another great episode as usual, worth the wait.
If that's from the old run down mall in Grand Prairie then I also bought tons of games out of those cabinets!! Pretty cool stuff and I love all things the Game Chasers!!
Awesome to see another episode thank u game chasers for all that u do to entertain us
What's the name of the song that starts at 21:57?
Totally agree NBA jam is an absolute classic one of my all time most nostalgic games espec on Genesis that along with Mortal Kombat.
Great episode guys! The cabinets look great! :)
This just brightened my day.
Hello Game Chasers, thanks for the upload and have a good weekend!
