remember, time heals all wounds. stay a little longer in japan. keep trying to socialize and putting yourself out there, dont be shy. the clubs & bars attempt was a good start, but actually follow through with it next time, dont chicken out. also, you could check out retro game stores, guitar/music/retro video game/card stores/comic stores, among many others etc. you could easily meet another japanese cutie, or maybe even a couple drinking buddies or something, and that alone could start to give you a new perspective. being alone and feeling lonely in japan (or any place rly) are a recipe for wanting to leave, but it could just be a knee jerk reaction to suddenly being "alone". let the dust settle in your life before you make any major decisions. remember, you dont need your ex gf, you only need you. people come and go in life. it's a revolving door mostly; you'll make new friends and find another proper gf in time guaranteed, probably faster than you think. but remember, happiness comes from within! you got this! dont give up on japan yet, you have an amazing niche opportunity and people really like watching jvloggs. youtubing and vlogging in other countries wont be as interesting!!! hope it all works out. cheers.
From someone who forced themself to live in a new country for 3 years. Just go home where you have a support system. Do what feels right. You can start again later when You are healed. You need your close one around you now. Forget these messages above.
American here (who has traveled to Asia and Europe as well). Love your videos. Ok, since you asked about the U.S. First, its big cities are not as safe for bicycle riding as in Japan and European cities. America is a country catered to cars. Its public transportation is okay, not great. Again, this is because most Americans have cars and the country was built for cars. It has the longest highway system in the world. Having said that, if you are away from the big cities, the smaller towns do embrace bicycles more. You can’t leave your bike unlocked though, otherwise, it will get stolen quick. So in terms of big cities, I don’t think any of them is going to beat Tokyo. Tokyo and its other cities are simply cleaner, safer, and more efficient than American cities. I’d do hear you say love the countryside, mountains, and parks. Well, in that area, the U.S. is hard to beat. It has a beautiful vast gigantic topography with tons of national parks that Japan can’t match. California alone is the size of Japan. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, the Grand Tetons, Death Valley, Sierra Nevada, Elias National Park & Preserve (it’s 13.2 million acres, larger than Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Switzerland combined). It has mountains taller than Mt. Fuji. Huge lakes. Enormous agricultural areas bigger than the entire country of Japan. That’s why produce such as fruits and vegetables are so cheap in America. But to explore the wonders of America, you would need a truck or van. Watch UA-camrs like Mav and Roaming Reckless for some pointers. Having said all of that, I recommend you stay put in Japan and travel the countryside. Many here have mentioned UA-camr Nomad Push. He has traveled all over Japan by skateboard, then by moped/scooter. He started small, like you, and now he has 125k subscribers. I think you should do something similar. Buy yourself a moped/scooter or a small engine motorcycle and travel all over Japan. Man, I think you’d be much happier too, especially since you said living in the big city is getting tiresome. And speaking on that subject…do NOT go to Hong Kong. You will be miserable there. If you think Tokyo is congested and crowded, you will be in for a rude awakening in Hong Kong. It’s also a much dirtier and grittier city. Hong Kong stands as the fourth most densely city in the world. Watch UA-camr Small Brained American’s channel. He compares Japan to Hong Kong, you’ll see. Anyway, I vote for you to visit America as just a tourist and check out their wonderful national parks. But I advise against staying on a work visa and use a bicycle. You will either get your bike stolen or get run over. I vote for you to stay in Japan and travel the countryside by moped/scooter or motorcycle. Hope that helps a bit. どうもありがとうございます!

Hey man, remember that the working holiday visa is only once, and Tokyo is only one city; if you move/ change job/ meet new people, you’ll have a completely different experience again. I know you’re in a bit of a rough spot now, but try to make the most of it. A lot of us are jealous of the opportunity you have. I’d only make the decision to leave Japan after you’ve had more time, given it a lot of thought, and decided that you’re truly done with it and have a plan for what you wanna do next. Also remember that the sad feelings/ depression are only temporary, and reflect your current feelings about your current situation. Hi Eddy 👋 I'm a fan of Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia. I spent months there and enjoyed it. However, in this day and age, I doubt I would go again. If you decide to visit the US, you're welcome to spend some time with us. Kinda boring in rural Indiana, but we're not far from big cities like Indianapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, and Nashville. We're 2 hours or less from each of those cities. You're right about not being pressured to make videos. The money can be ok, but the hassle sometimes isn't worth it. Only you know what you want and need. Just do yourself and everyone else a favor. Don't drink alcohol before you go out. If you drink, stay home. Be mature and responsible about it. 😊
Maybe it's better to move to another city in Japan? Not all of them are so crowded. When it comes to places connected with nature, Japan has no shortage of them. There were people who traveled all of Japan from North to South by bike, camping along the way. But videos about nature and hiking don't usually get many views.
Keep it up Eddy! I watched your channel grow from just around 1-2K subs when I started watching and now you are at 16.3K. You are doing amazing and can't wait to see your continued progress!
Hey Eddy!
love these video, not sure why, but they’re very chill and calming. on the topic of north america, i’m from england and have travelled round states in america and canada, but you’ll definitely need to hire a car to travel round, the roads are huge and scenic, some go on for miles in a straight line. some days we stayed for around 2/3 nights in one place and explored round them and then travelled to the next, which on route we could go to other attractions/towns/cities that we wanted to go and see. the people are very friendly and kind, i have lots of fond memories that were created because of the locals like being given raw turquoise by some random people to feeding a great dane called george timbits! 😂 north america is definitely a bucket list place i’d 100% go to canada aswell as the US, but money is also a concern as lots of thing are expensive.
U.S watcher here. Definitely worth coming to the U.S and visiting the vast National Park System. would like to see some camping and nature videos! Keep up the great video work! your videos help me understand more about Japan and I plan on coming in the spring.
Imo homie. Alcohol isn't really needed, especially after a break up. You'll just go down a rabbit hole. I went through that and being sober was the best way to move on. Stay blessed. Keep your head up.
I’ve visited Japan 3 times and I have enjoyed rural Japan a lot more compared to Tokyo. Tokyo people are a bit cold. If you don’t wanna try a smaller town even Osaka is better than Tokyo in my opinion.
Which rural places would you recommend? I'm visiting in a few weeks, will land in osaka. I don't like the cities also, been thinking about awaji but I really have no idea
tbh nearly every piece of rural area is quite special in Japan. when i was there hitchhiking I've been to Kyushu, Gifu and Nagano Prefecture, and Okayama. Amazing places. from what ive heard, Wakayama and Gunma are really beautiful
@@Raphael-bvd exactly! @crisdeugzman3711 I highly recommend Minamioguni in Kumamoto in Kyushu, Takayama in Gifu and the Nakasendo trail in Nagano prefecture.
Eddie you’re doing a great point. If you’re trying to make the perfect video but not enjoying it. It’s very hard to create content. I like what you said about that. I struggle either way this as well. It does make it hard to create the content because you’re not yourself. Great video.😊
The reason I watch your channel is your authenticity. You make great content I'm sorry to hear that you broke up with your girlfriend. The pain will subside with time. I hope you get to stay in Japan but understand if you are over the busy streets of Tokyo. ❤❤
Hey Eddy, even I have Pixel Buds (headphones) here a instruction for you regarding the Air Pods, hope it helps 😊 Press and hold the force sensor on the stem of an AirPod until a chime plays. When you're wearing both AirPods, press and hold the force sensor on either AirPod to switch between Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, and Off.
Love hurts brother. But it will take some time to feel like yourself again. Good to see you keep posting and living. Getting out and doing things with yourself or friends or just getting out in general is good for the mind. Time to take care of yourself and keep it going. There will be easy days and hard days and even days where it feels like it’s the end of the world but don’t forget that intense feelings pass and soon enough you’ll be back in your groove. Don’t worry much about meeting other people or anything romantic because you need to heal right now. Much love and I love the videos man i can’t wait to travel to Japan and maybe run into you if you stick around :)
You're not alone, you have us! We love you 🤘🥰🤘 Love cashews too 🤤 Always been my favourite, pistachio nuts is a close second 😊 I started watching for the Japan content but Im definitely staying for you, no matter where you are in Japan or the world 🤘💜🤘 Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
That's just my suggestion, but if you like less busy cities which are more "green" or so, more in touch with nature, you could try to live in Fukuoka some time before leaving Jp, you would be pleasantly surprised It's five'th most populated city in Jp at the time of writing this comment, but really a lot less crowded with people and have a lot more beautiful nature places. That would be my preferred choice where I would like to live if I would some day come in Jp
Thanks for this video, and your openness. Keep calm and do what you like. Try to enjoy yourself :) . When you keep doing that, every little step wil help you grow. Good luck man!
I'm an American, and I know you mentioned that you may want to travel in the US. We don't have trains, buses, and subways like other countries do on a large level, so you would probably need a rental car. But, if you're in major cities like, miami, Los Angeles, or New York, then there's plenty of buses and trains to get around with. I wish you all the best man! You seem like a great guy.
I love peanut butter, but the good one only with a pinch of sea salt, you can get it in Germany from brand Whole Earth, amazing and healthy. The one in Japan has a lot of sugar which is actually not so good. Also try to buy frozen blueberries for your oatmeal, really nice addition beside bananas and strawberries.
i'have been there mentally in another city , so i feel you , you are doing a wonderfull job for me , speaking to someone , even to us follower is a good things , i like you as a content creator , even if i'm not a huge social media user i still watch your video , what i want to suggest you is to do what your heart tell you to do , be yourself and do what makes you happy
*Here are some fun ideas to do if you are board in Japan* _See what is the highest building you can enter for free and have a look_ _Do a channel to see how you can get from one end to Tokyo to the other by train and vlog the trip and see what you can find_ _Take is trift shopping, where you can just look at all the second-hand items_ _Do a 24-hour meal/ffood challenge for 1000 yen_
I honestly think that a travel channel could be a good idea, and dont pressure yourself into making anything go viral since as you said you want it to LAST, making videos like this gives you returning viewers IMO that is the most important part.
I hope you’re doing well my guy! Yes , I’ve been to big cities in USA. LA , Miami and NYC. All of them are fun but have to be careful. LA you will need a car. Miami also but can take a bus. NYC subways are not the best but useful. NYC has its beauty. I would def visit NYC first.
I follow you! Keep going in Japan! You can! I know it is difficult to resettle yourself while in another country, but it is possible! Protein powder to supplement, adjust your clothes in the morning, maybe a new haircut and a new style of clothing, you are not going to stop being who you are by reinventing yourself. Huge hug!
You are doing well, I think you just need to wait until the breakup sadness washes away and then make a decision to stay or go. Would hate for you to leave and then regret it. Also I have the same headphones, they are amazing. Got them for my motorbike to block the loud exhaust and wind noise. They are like magic. All the best. Cheers
Go to Taiwan, it has lots of easily accessible nature, hiking, camping, beaches and warm climate. Hong Kong is also great but it's very expensive. Shanghai is not near any nature, it's just another mega city like Tokyo.
You strike me as a very determent and strongwilled person @onigiri Eddy. Courage means having anxiety and still doing it. Brother i salute you, traveling foreign countries, surviving there on your own. Salute. That on tis own as an amazing achievement. Also time heals wounds. :))) Gonna follow you on your Journey brother!
Eddy you sound focused to make youtube work for you and i love your channel so keep it up, also i am from the us it can be difficult to travel because its so large but if you rent a car you can go all over the us just need the time as it can take hours to go from big city to big city
yooo from florida !!! traveling to the US will be a great idea but i’ll be honest the views in europe and asia are way better but i’m sure you will love it here
if you're looking for a cozy and welcoming place in north America you should come to Montreal, Canada! We have great culture and a lot of diversity here.
You should try living in Bangkok you can get an apartment for US$80 a month. The food is very cheap. You can have a meal for 2 US dollars. The USA is too expensive to travel and most areas have no trains
don't leave Japan, it's all stress and anxiety from losing a girl, believe me, I've traveled to many countries and now in my forties I regret not staying to live in Japan
Hey Eddy if you feel like it, I'd love to see a video where you talk about your tattoos :) I wish you a lot of strength in the coming time a breakup is painful but you can grow from it and there will definitely be better times again
i'm a pistachio lover :D Have you ever thought about livestreaming? like walking arround and stuff. also a nice way to connect to the community and a great way to earn some donations :)
Hi Eddie I have a video request: go into a combini, have an onigir and coffee and chat to the camera while sitting inside the combini. I love combinis and they are what I miss most about Japan. 🇯🇵 🍙 so I just wanted to request this video. Thank you
When I stayed in Okinawa in February there was a young German guy staying a few nights at the same guesthouse. He was on a working holiday visa and had a few days to fill in before his next farmstay. It sounded like he was farmstaying his way around the country. Maybe that is an option for a while?
@@水色サワー I cannot remember which website he said he was using but it sounded similar to the WWOOF system (Willing Workers on Organic Farms). He was learning Japanese as he was travelling and working around Japan. He is already fluent in German, French and English from school and he said Japanese is the first language he is learning by choice (not part of a school curriculum).
Do a collab with MrNippon he is a german youtuber living in tokyo aswell. You can get an interview and tell your story, maybe you will get a few subscribers more and he will get anoother german guy to interview. Win win situation
The U.S. is a newer country and that means much less interference over time with nature. Europe for example has been completely tamed over thousands of years. You will rarely have encounters with wild animals as most of the land has been farmed over time. In the U.S. just leaving the city in most places you will find the wilderness. Nature still thrives, wild animals, and dangers exists still un-tamed. I found this to be a negative when visiting other countries and a feeling of losing some connection with nature as I traveled. The people in this country likely take it for granted, but without traveling to a place with thousands of years of settlements it's hard to compare that to your home. Of all the Western nations the U.S. is without a doubt closer to nature imo. There are many non-western nations that have un-tamed lands full of beauty, but the U.S. has a balance of both work opportunity city comfort and nature. Colorado would be the best place to go for that imo. The culture there thrives on outdoor activities, good food, and exercise. There are endless mountain peaks and trails, with many amazing small towns and settlements respectfully and conveniently located near trails and parks.
Totally normal to get a bit tired of Tokyo after a while, it's the honeymoon phase wearing off. After a while for me the thought of going out, taking the trains etc just became exhausting and I started spending a lot more time at home. I've been here over 4 years and I still question myself everyday if I still want to be here or if I should leave. Still not sure.

I really enjoy this daily video format. Keep it up!
The reason I watch your channel is your authenticity. You make great content
I'm sorry to hear that you broke up with your girlfriend. The pain will subside with time. I hope you get to stay in Japan but understand if you are over the busy streets of Tokyo. ❤❤
Hopefully he doesn't lose that authenticity after reading the 48 Laws of Power.
Hey Eddy, even I have Pixel Buds (headphones) here a instruction for you regarding the Air Pods, hope it helps 😊
Press and hold the force sensor on the stem of an AirPod until a chime plays. When you're wearing both AirPods, press and hold the force sensor on either AirPod to switch between Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, and Off.
Its sad to hear you might leave japan, but still gonna be a fan of the channel
Love hurts brother. But it will take some time to feel like yourself again. Good to see you keep posting and living. Getting out and doing things with yourself or friends or just getting out in general is good for the mind. Time to take care of yourself and keep it going. There will be easy days and hard days and even days where it feels like it’s the end of the world but don’t forget that intense feelings pass and soon enough you’ll be back in your groove. Don’t worry much about meeting other people or anything romantic because you need to heal right now. Much love and I love the videos man i can’t wait to travel to Japan and maybe run into you if you stick around :)
yo man, you can activate/deactivate noise cancellation on your airpods by pressing on the flat surface on your airpods directly for a few seconds :P
I would love to see you vlog about Germany if you do go back home. I don’t know anything about Germany or vloggers there.
You are doing great mate, keep going....
You're not alone, you have us! We love you 🤘🥰🤘
Love cashews too 🤤 Always been my favourite, pistachio nuts is a close second 😊
I started watching for the Japan content but Im definitely staying for you, no matter where you are in Japan or the world 🤘💜🤘
Much love from Australia 🇦🇺
Cashews are my favorite too. They have cashew butter here in the states but it’s pretty expensive compared to peanut butter.
found your channel recently, love it very much, keep filming for us
only up from here bro! can't wait until your channel gets the recognition it needs, I wish you luck on whatever you decide to do cheers mate
Tomatoes in New Zealand 10 for 4 so expensive. Come to New Zealand you'll love it. Summer coming soon. You would love the outdoors so beautiful
New Zealand where I'm from has amazing hiking and nature! All the best Eddy!
Keep being yourself and following your nose brother, love the content and the honesty. we are here for you ^^
You should visit LOST bar in shibuya, chris from abroad in japan is the owner
Chris and his crew despises guys like him
@@lutherblissett7873 Why is that?
@@lutherblissett7873i dont think they do, i think you do
also plum wine - umeshu - is pretty nice.
That's just my suggestion, but if you like less busy cities which are more "green" or so, more in touch with nature, you could try to live in Fukuoka some time before leaving Jp, you would be pleasantly surprised
It's five'th most populated city in Jp at the time of writing this comment, but really a lot less crowded with people and have a lot more beautiful nature places.
That would be my preferred choice where I would like to live if I would some day come in Jp
I am from the US. There are really nice places here. You would like it I think.
Thanks for this video, and your openness.
Keep calm and do what you like. Try to enjoy yourself :) .
When you keep doing that, every little step wil help you grow.
Good luck man!
those Tomato pretzels were one of my favorite snack finds in Japan, perfect for a Shinkansen with a beer.
USA is massive, while there is a bus and train system it is generally not as sophisticated as Japan outside of NYC.
You should visit Canada! Beautiful nature. The rocky mountains!
*Here are some fun ideas to do if you are board in Japan*
_See what is the highest building you can enter for free and have a look_
_Do a channel to see how you can get from one end to Tokyo to the other by train and vlog the trip and see what you can find_
_Take is trift shopping, where you can just look at all the second-hand items_
_Do a 24-hour meal/ffood challenge for 1000 yen_
Huge hug!
There is a lot of nature in Japan too. You can also try Canada 🙂
:))) Gonna follow you on your Journey brother!
going into the gym will help you mentally and phisically
Eddy you sound focused to make youtube work for you and i love your channel so keep it up, also i am from the us it can be difficult to travel because its so large but if you rent a car you can go all over the us just need the time as it can take hours to go from big city to big city
Hi Eddy, I thik you've almost seen nothing of Japan and would enjoy many places full of nature there.
yooo from florida !!! traveling to the US will be a great idea but i’ll be honest the views in europe and asia are way better but i’m sure you will love it here
Where ever you end up mate if I'm ever in the same place Ill buy you a beer 😁👍
if you're looking for a cozy and welcoming place in north America you should come to Montreal, Canada! We have great culture and a lot of diversity here.
いかの燻製をつまみに発泡酒・チューハイで晩酌
まるで日本人を見ているようです
Cashews are awesome I love those and Pecans. Peanuts are okay but by themselves I prefer a flavored one.
Have you ever been in a more rural part of Japan? Maybe you like it better than the big cities.
You should try living in Bangkok you can get an apartment for US$80 a month. The food is very cheap. You can have a meal for 2 US dollars.
The USA is too expensive to travel and most areas have no trains
whatever you decide, keep filming it!
If you keep pressed the lower part of the AirPod it changes mode.
don't leave Japan, it's all stress and anxiety from losing a girl, believe me, I've traveled to many countries and now in my forties I regret not staying to live in Japan
This is interesting content. Real life shit. Like a reality show. Not those fake always fake happy videos.
Kirin ichiban beer is the shit! I'll still follow where ever you decide to go.
Super content. Ich danke dir Eddy. Love from Germany
Great content!
Cold showers mate! It's the way forward. Oh and dry roasted peanuts #1. Not the healthiest, but definately the tastiest 🥜
Hey Eddy if you feel like it, I'd love to see a video where you talk about your tattoos :)
I wish you a lot of strength in the coming time a breakup is painful but you can grow from it and there will definitely be better times again
Hong Kong has a working holiday visa that you can apply for. You can also deliver food here, but rent is quite expensive.
i'm a pistachio lover :D Have you ever thought about livestreaming? like walking arround and stuff. also a nice way to connect to the community and a great way to earn some donations :)
ボラバイト(住み込み農業アルバイト)のことかな?
これからの季節は柿やミカンの収穫アルバイトがあります。
お給料は少ないですが、家賃はただで食事付き🍴🏠️のところが多いです。
@@水色サワー I cannot remember which website he said he was using but it sounded similar to the WWOOF system (Willing Workers on Organic Farms). He was learning Japanese as he was travelling and working around Japan. He is already fluent in German, French and English from school and he said Japanese is the first language he is learning by choice (not part of a school curriculum).

Do a collab with MrNippon he is a german youtuber living in tokyo aswell. You can get an interview and tell your story, maybe you will get a few subscribers more and he will get anoother german guy to interview. Win win situation
Yes, and also Senpai in Japan and Simon in Japan, can help a lot to get new subscribers. Contact them 👍
Life goes on😊
try Rummy rum raisin chocolate, not so easy to find, but sometimes they have in one of the kombini stores.
These daily vlogs is lit. Try doing daily live streams, its way easier and your time wont be consumed doing editing.
The U.S. is a newer country and that means much less interference over time with nature.
