Yes, the opening scene of Bumblebee was it. THAT was the Transformers movie we want. And unless it's a cartoon, I don't think we'll ever get it.
We are literally getting an origin animated movie next year for the start of the war

I've been saying this for years, I'm so tired of humans taking up a lot of time in a movie about transforming robots
This was the same issue with Godzilla.
You try spending 2 billion dollars on cgi for a film that includes just the transformers.
Dude I completely agree. When magnus said he saw the bumblebee movie for the intro I was so glad bc that’s exactly what went on for me too. I remember being pissed though because it timed for about 3 minutes worth of a battle on cybertron without the humanssss

Dark of the Moon and the Original are still the blue print for mass appeal to all Transformers fans and the casual movie goer.
Really surprised to hear you didn't enjoy it as much. I personally had such a huge blast with this. It is no perfect movie but I have to say I enjoyed this a little more than Bumblebee. I felt the humans were done wayyyyyy better in this and there's so much heart. The fan services really help elevate my enjoyment for this as well.
Humans did nothing in the movie the plot lines lead no where. Their personal arcs are done well but movie wise they did nothing

I actually enjoyed the movie for what it was, I thought the opening with Scourge was done well, scourge was scary as hell when he was walking out of the darkness with the orange eyes.
I now wanna see Tyrone do an entire reading of the Unicron scene!

Mirage really did a homage in the movie
They built me up with hope and it delivered in certain aspects like the care the characters had and the way the story prompted fight scenes but it doesn’t go full g1 like I wanted…we need Frank welker as megatron
Like you I'm a G1 and Beast Wars fan, so I had certain expectations. I think the movie was okay. Not horrible.

Had concerns initially when I first learnt that Pete Davidson was voicing mirage but was getting a good vibe off the trailers
From what I’ve heard he’s probably one of the best in the movie

I'll stick with my IDW verse. I recommend you read those if you haven't. You may like it Tyrone. Also, I am advocating for exactly what you're asking. A Clone Wars esque Transformers epic series that spans decades, detailing the events of the cybertronian war.
The “crossover” implied at the end could save both franchises.

You need to be in a mental hospital. This movie was God awful across the board. Acting, story, CGI, Characters, there wasn’t a thing that this movie did well.
I loved the movie, one of my favorites of all the transformers movies. Prime is definitely epic as always.

I personally loved it. Thankfully i have AMC A-list so it was basically a free ticket. The ending wwas epic.

The beasties should’ve had their own movie years ago after transformers dark of the moon, I feel Hasbro waited to long to capitalize on the Millennial generations nostalgia for the 90’s and the beast wars characters.
Haven’t seen your reaction yet Tyrone, but I honestly had a lot of fun with the movie. The ending surely caught me by surprise with that tease. Idk, maybe that’s just me. But hey, to each his own.

This film wasn't perfect but it was actually a good film as I seen it twice. Continue to support the film in the movie theaters people especially those who haven't seen it yet
It has its issues but overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching this movie it’s pure hype and corny robot fighting fun and that ending through my brain for a loop
Respectfully disagree. I gotta say it, not everything has to be G1. Beast Wars fans love this film, and even most G1 fans love this. But either way, not everything has to be based on something from 40 years ago.

Im very excited to see it tommorow as a massive G1 and beastwars fan. Im trying to reserve myself a little and not get too hyped just incase i hate it. Side note is it really true that transit got taken out because i thought he looked really good.
Rumor has it their is a crossover coming soon involving transformers and fast and furious. Optimus living life a 1/4 mile at a time sounds badass, lol.

I just saw the movie and 2 out 5 is a bit low more like 3 out of 5 . It’s not the worst transformers movie. It’s pretty good.
I really liked the movie. One of my favorites honestly. I like that the franchise has been rebooted too.

As a Transformers fan since the 90's, I've always wondered why does Bumblebee always get the spotlight.
So, I'm guessing Megatron isn't there and nor is Waspinator and nor is Dinobot.
Lets be honest- we can ALL sum up the best parts of Transformers 1-3 in 4 parts:
*1-3* =The 3-min prologues for the first three movies
*4* = The battle in Chicago (from the briefing at the air strip to the end)
4th and 5th movies...dont exist.

Would you say that the transformations got better at least or more clean? As opposed to before where we got to a point in the franchise where it just looked like heaps of metal combining, if that makes sense. As a fan I have to see it once but damn do they like not listening to fans. We need more of that opening scene work from Bumblebee.

Agree, I was disappointed in changes to Wheeljack and Mirage. Overall I thought bubblebee was better. Transformers 3 and 1 are still my top 2

I honestly don't mind most of the design changes. Pablo was probably the most disappointing but still there is nothing wrong with diverging from G1. Transformers Prime did it and that show had awesome looking characters. Even Micheal Bay to an extent (when you could actually see them clearly)

As a transformers cybertron fan, I was born in 2000, I think I might enjoy it because of the introduction to new characters but idk I still need to catch up on g1 some more
I feel you, but Cheetor is to me what Prime is to you. I love Cheetor and really hope hes awesome in this.
I mean, he was awesome no doubt but you probably won't be satisfied enough cuz there ain't much of him.
I felt the same way in the predator vs aliens movies, the humans got in the way. The full animation transformers movie where they killed prime and the other original characters, I really hated that movie for it was an introduction of the new toys at the stores. I could not get into the other movies and I went to see two of them. The way I'll go see this movie if I get invited and that's it.

We can understand Tyrone’s frustration since g1 was heavily focused only on the robots but tbh I don’t want to be waiting 10 years for a full transformers only movie or a short one. Personally enjoyed this one tbh.
Just watched it. The one evil character you mentioned really really really needed to be in this one. I wish scourge would’ve lived but at the end credit scene, you see him putting up a beacon. And you hear scourge say “I’ve found Prime, tell your master I expect a great price for my success.”
