this makes way more sense. instructors keep saying to go perpendicular to the beach or to the wave but then in practice turn my board at an angle and then I get confused because I feel like I'm going the wrong way
Thank you from France. I'm going this summer at BALI. You help me a lot. I'm not a bétonner but not à surfer too. With your advices it gonna change those holiday.
Ay love it, spreading good teachings bro. Keep it up, maybe a vid for using on paddling? (Don't paddle to early and do 2 extra than you think for newbies, etc.)
If you want to catch a wave in a competitive break. You got to be fast. The fastest way is paddled perpendicular to the wave, and turned the board as soon as you pop-up. Just practice it over and over again until your brain registered.
This is SOOO helpful. Why isn't this talked about more!?! This is literally the FIRST video I've seen discussing the rail to wave angle on take off!
Lightbulb moment THANK YOU ❤
This is my favorite learn-to-surf channel. Big love to you brother.
This is the best info, waisted al that time watching 30 min videos and now it is all clear in one minut.
I wish someone told me that before my first lesson. Now it all makes sense!

Great point about setting the rail - not the board. Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Paddle straight. Get in early and take high line.
Easier on longer boards and shallower waves, yea
