Brilliant! It was so enjoyable watching you do this. 😃 I found myself nodding and humming in agreement at various things you were saying, because I had all the same thoughts myself when I built it. Good luck with the frames, I think the fact that you’ve been really detailed with your sorting will help you there - I honestly thought I would find the frames a slog, but once I started and got a bit more organised, it wasn’t so bad at all, and I actually quite enjoyed the frames 😍 can’t wait to see part 2!
That’s funny! You probably had some deja-vu. That’s good to know about the frames. I know that before I start them I’m going to have to take the bag of frame-only pieces and do a re-sort…but when I looked at the poster again I did see that there is quite a good variety in the style of the frames, so it shouldn’t be impossible. Famous last words!
I've just found your channel. I havent puzzled in a long time due to bouts of chronic pain that stop me from sitting for extended amounts of time. Keep up the good work I will follow your journey with this big puzzle.
Thanks so much for watching! I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been able to puzzle. Are you able to do smaller puzzles? I’ve had some issues with my hand lately that caused me not to be able to puzzle for long stretches, but I found that smaller 100-150 piece puzzles were okay.
Thank you! Yes, I loved her artwork in the Inspiring Walt Disney exhibit. I’m sure I’d seen her artwork over the years but only just learned her name. I recently saw that Helen Dardik (who did the mushroom puzzle art from my Pink Puzzles video) cited her as an artistic inspiration, and I can totally see it. It was cool to learn about the contributions of women and people of color at Disney animation through the exhibit. Eventually I want to get the exhibition catalogue and do a little bit more reading. Thanks for watching - and happy puzzling!
Hi, Richard! I just ordered my first 9,000 piece puzzle, so I'm doing some research to prepare myself for what's coming. Could you please tell me what those black trays are that you use for sorting? Thank you!
I did this much of the puzzle quite a while ago, and I have to tell you I’m struggling to continue with it. I’m working slowly on sorting the frames, which is easier said than done. My best advice is to take your time and pay close attention to the poster. Once I get further with it, I’ll post an update.
It is interesting to see how different puzzlers approach doing the same puzzle. Everyone has their own way of deciding how to tackle a jigsaw with a large quantity of pieces. Not for me I'm afraid, I just don't have the space or the patience to do one that size. 😞 Ravensburger do unfortunately have a great deal of puzzle dust. Another company that is bad for that is the House of Puzzles, a British company based in Scotland. I look forward to seeing the completed jigsaw. 😊
Thanks so much for watching! Usually for a 1,000-piece Ravensburger, I don’t get too much dust, but this giant one seemed to have an insane amount. Fortunately even despite the amount of dust in the colander most of it stayed at the bottom of the bag.
They are from the brand Grateful House. I got them on Amazon US for around $35. A little spendy for puzzle trays but they have vastly improved my puzzling. So far I think they have them in white sets and black sets, but I heard a rumor they’re working on a rainbow set.
I also am an over sorter. I saw a girl do a 24,000 piece puzzle with all the bags mixed together and dumped in the box. She said sorting and spreading them out was “cheating”. I never saw how that turned out for her. Haha. P.S. I love black jelly beans. I think green is disgusting. Lol.
And can you believe that after 4-5 hours of sorting (condensed in that timelapse, mercifully for you, dear viewer), that I’m on the cusp of doing ANOTHER sort to separate out the individual frames?? Sorting is *so* not cheating. It’s the only way to not drive yourself mad. P.S. Green jelly beans are my favorite (I love fake lime flavor for some reason)!! To each their own bean, I suppose 😂. Thanks for watching!

Love the puzzle dust removing. Big fan of the this and have practised myself 👍
Thanks for watching! Yes, from time to time there’s a puzzle that demands it!
I use a strainer too! It works so well. Nice video, interesting to see how different people approach large puzzles. ☺️
Glad I’m not the only one!! Thank you for watching!
Love the coffee mug💗...love Mary Blair artwork and Disney😉

Hi, Richard! I just ordered my first 9,000 piece puzzle, so I'm doing some research to prepare myself for what's coming. Could you please tell me what those black trays are that you use for sorting? Thank you!
Yes! They are by Grateful House. I think they may be out of stock at the moment but keep an eye out.
Did hrs. of sorting, still have lots of misc. pieces. Any hints on sorting, since I still have so many pieces I am having problems with.

Where did you get your puzzles trays from
They’re from the brand Grateful House. I love them!
How do you not have more subscribers?! Your channel is great! New sub here!
Thanks so much!! I’m still a newbie!
What sorting trays are you using??? I have not seen them before, and i think they might be the best sorting trays I’ve ever seen

Oh, and thanks for watching!!
Thank you so much for the replay and for the videos, i’m binge watching them now.
Did you do a part 2 video?
I haven’t yet. Boy is this a difficult puzzle once you finish the easy bits.
I like that your subscriber increase as well as the amount of like on your video. Congratulation and keep going ^.~ ganbatte kudasai
Thank you! Thanks for watching.
Really nice puzzle wish I could do it don't have the money or the space!!
Thanks so much for watching! The space is definitely a tricky aspect.
