    I didn't know about All Aimee April. I haven't done one of her puzzles yet. But I think I've got a couple of hers in my to do stash.
    Great to see another of your videos! Looking forward to your next one!
    Happy Puzzling! 😊

    I also managed to do 6 puzzles for All Aimee April, which was more than I expected! I always think of them as busy and quite intimidating, and while I couple I did fit that category, several were delightfully easy and several were in between. I shouldn't be so intimated by them as a whole!

    I love the ones with shelves/books! I did a 2000-piece Ravensburger earlier this year by Aimee Stewart and it was super fun!

    I didn't know about Aimee April. I love her puzzles and did happen to buy 2 in April. Backstage at the theater and the family campsite. Both fun puzzles. And now I'm doing kitschy cute for the second time. Enjoyed you're video.

      Thanks for watching! I have Backstage at the Theater too. I really want to do that one soon. I work in theatre by day so that one spoke to me.

    Aimee Stewart is one of my favorite artists! Love her artwork. I found the experience the same with the Merry Mushroom Village Feast, it took me longer to build and I used the heck out of the reference poster but loved it! I have assembled Kitschy Cute and Kitschy Kitchen and loved them! I have Path of Totality, Travel Trinkets, Life Is An Open Book: Paris and My Awesome Collection 1989 but have not yet assembled and look forward to building them in the future. I have Myths & Legends, Life Is An Open Book: London on my wish list. I didn't know about the event, "All Aimee April" but how fun that must have been! Love the video, thank you for sharing! 🧩🧩🧩

    I enjoyed the 1500 piece "Grand Library" Ravensburger puzzle. So much detail!

    • @piecebypiecepuzzler
      @piecebypiecepuzzler  8 місяців тому

      Love that one too! I prefer the quality of Ravensburger, but 1,500 pieces is more than I usually do, so I bought that one when it came out as a 1,000-piece Buffalo Games offering. Buffalo called it The Grand Fiction Library.

    i’ve not heard of aimee april, but i do enjoy her puzzles. i’ve done the myths and legends one. it is fun, but make sure you have lots of lighting because it was a good bit darker than i expected. certain areas were easy enough to pick out, but a lot was on the darker side. with good lighting you should be fine though

      Ooh, good tip! Yes, that one does look a bit more challenging than some of the others, but I love the details of the image so much. Thanks for watching!

    Aimee Stewart is new to me... I'll have to put her art work on my to do list! Meanwhile, giant puzzles have become a thing over here. Currently I'm starting work on Educa's 6000 pc "Entering the Bedroom." With so many pieces it's impossible to rush through the initial sort - there's no way I'm going to do it in a single sitting. Since the whole puzzle is going to take a couple of months I'm okay with a sort that gets spread out over a couple of weeks. As a change of pace I will often have a smaller puzzle going on elsewhere, and the Aimee Stewart puzzles you showed today look like they would make a fun break from the Giant!

      Oh my goodness! I tried to be better about larger puzzles, but at some point I came to the realization that my urban space here in NYC just isn’t big enough to accommodate. There was too much switching around of foamcore boards to make it work well. I really envy folks who can comfortably complete giant ones. Some day I hope to have the space.
      I think switching between larger and smaller piece counts is a great idea…I like to have that kind of variety in my puzzling - a mixture of smaller puzzles I can finish in a sitting and larger ones that take more sittings.

    can you suggest any puzzles suitable for a 10 year old

    • @piecebypiecepuzzler
      @piecebypiecepuzzler  5 місяців тому +1

      Sure -- a few suggestions: Take a look at Mudpuppy (a sister company to Galison). Also, Ravensburger has 100, 200, and 300-piece puzzles, some of them with larger (XL) pieces. A number of other companies also have 'children's puzzles.' I also recommend checking out Cocoa Puzzles. Their 300-piece puzzles are really high-quality and not TOO easy. You will best know what piece count this 10-year-old puzzler is ready for. I would think that a 10-year-old could easily puzzle a 500-piece puzzle (or higher, depending on the kid).
