I'd love to see a Tervarin capital ship! Prowler is the best looking ship in the game! I wish there was more Prowler variants so you could use it for more things, and far more Tervarin vehicles & equipment!
@@helline9 so far the tevarin wins in best aesthetics. But your right, we need more variety. I can imagine another stealth fighter or bomber that would blend perfectly with what we have rn.
i run the 2 s5 distortion as it works faster to drop shields, as well as allow boarding. drop sihp isnt just for land drops. must leave non bolistic on the turret i prefer scatter gun for aoe style protection. do load all 16 wall mounts with guns but arm your drop team with railguns as you can depoy in space to protect the ship. nec as it is not a great fighter. great video.
It’s so refreshing to see a group of mates/mini org running Alien only ships. I love SC but shame on CIG for leaving the Prowler, a $400 ship, in such a bad state for so long. That’s really not acceptable. I have 4 prowlers as they are all key ships in my 4 CCU chains 😅 I’m still waiting on these alien ships and indeed different ship manufacturers to have really unique feeling advantages and disadvantages in game. I’d like to see the Esperia ships have unbelievable stealth compared to other ships but be more fragile in their designs or perhaps with no armour as a trade off. I want Drake to be nasty bottom drawer ships but with massive advantages in cheap and accessible parts and components etc Just wondering, I presume the Syulen is not a ship you’re keen to integrate into your aline fleet? 🤷♂️
@@PsyEm-p1j I have a syulen starter for my alt account. When it came out we had like 3 of them in our squadron flying around. Fantastic ship, not so much a starter friendly landing vehicle.
@@PsyEm-p1j I don't mind the current layout, but I would remove the ladder and replace it with a heavy weapons armory. I would also divide the 8 drop doors into 4 doors.
I love the Prowler... BUT! As it is now (unfinished) there is NO WAY it's the whisper in fear nightmare of Capital ships. Between windows being... everywhere lol and stealth being borked, it's just not a threat. Add to that having no way to carry supplies for troops, or a way for them to board directly, etc. Its a very cool looking brick. As for the turret, IMHO that turret would be 100% better served being able to traverse the track on its spine (you could make it magnetically or alien magic etc.) To give actual cover to troops or line up better shots etc. But at the time we didn't have tech to move turrets like that until the scorpion. Its high time we gor grav tech and turret updates. And you know... active stealth, armor, maybe some cubbies for troops to keep grenades, oxygen pens for EVA etc..
Are you aware of the new turret UI set up where it doesn't give you a pip? You place the crosshair on the target/ship and then the gimbals of the turret automatically adjust the positioning of the weapons to aim at the invisible pip and the weapon projectile will arc and hit the ship. This doesn't take care of the QT Nav Seat issue but it might explains where you pip went. It's a gimbal mode UI for turrets now. This is of course, true across all turrets.
@@The_Huntress the right click mechanic??? Hmm. I'll have to test it in another play thru. The targeting feature definitely does not work tho. I'll have to do some more checks about the pip. This has been this way since 3.17.
@@fourfoxgaming Totally might be something specific about the Prowler. I can check it out myself tonight. I have yet to try to the turret in the co-pilot seat of the Prowler. Just would try to do a fire test in AC or something with a friend, etc. I might try that as well.
@@fourfoxgaming Also, I turret with my HOTAS as well so I don't know if it's a right click mechanic or not. Makes me feel dumb about people who have memorized all the keybinds. I just know what my specific buttons do from a mode change stand point 😂
I'm very attached to my Talons and I've got a Prowler which I'm honestly on the cusp of melting in favour of the Paladin. I love the visual design of the Prowler and I love the concept, however, there seems to have been little to no progress in implementing advertised ship specific features. Please don't take my comment as a lack of love for the Prowler, it's a stunning ship but even for manufactured dropship gameplay I find it difficult to justify over some of the other options on the table.
@@FreeFragUK it is absolutely hard to keep a prowler in hanger. Most people move on and I don't blame them. There's just too many reasons to pass on this ship ATM.
@@fourfoxgaming - I just wonder if they'll succeed in implementing what was advertised, especially with so many changes and cut features over the years. For me the big thing about the Prowler was the idea of an incredibly powerful stealth dropship that had gravity levitation capabilities that would allow the Prowler to hug an enemy ships hull virtually undetected to allow you to drop a breacher team on the side of the vessel. The idea of this implies to me that said breacher team would need suits with boots that could form a magnetic lock on a hull. This also doesn't take into consideration the idea of the Prowler using its Grav-Lev tech to essentially hug and glide along terrain to a terrestrial insertion point in the stealthiest of ways. It's a beautiful ship with a divine concept but the features the design are founded are just sound a little out pf reach to me at the moment.

Two things, please use your vtol and the side dorse a probally opened by the persons that are in the drop seats.
You forgot about how well Prowlers break people out of jail. It's a easy jump to get on the back of a Prowler instead of climbing the broken stairs.

@FuriousImp it was fixed prior to 4.0 and Biffbobaggin worked to get it fixed after 4 years of being in an even worse state.
