0:24 I will never miss a chance to complain about the fact that Bulbapedia includes how much experience the Pokémon needs a level 100 to be a pseudo, legendary, when it doesn’t remove any Pokémon from the list and it’s just something they all share. If a future game had a 600 bat second stage Pokémon that had a different level of experience at level 100 no one would care and still call it a suit of legendary.
So far it seems pokemon even has an internal name for them, as every pseudo legendary to get a raid has had the internal designation of "Powerhouse Pokémon," and was used for a merch line with the pseudos as well. So even if they did care, just gotta wait for a raid.
Um, about that, the Japanese fans consider Archaludon to be part of this group because they only look at the 600 base stat total and ignore that it has only two stages and requires 250k less experience. He’s so strong that they couldn’t give him a good mega. Like imagine if they gave the extra special attack to speed 170 atk + 141 speed or smth
Wow I’m suprised Kommo-o was outclassed by Goodra when it seemed to be genuinely pretty good earlier this gen. I guess grouping the two together will do that
It really wasn't, Wolfey just massively undersold USUM Kommo-o, no Goodra was ever as popular as it was back then
We call 'em Pseudo-Legends and yet Garchomp was banned before Regirock and Articuno ever could have dreamed to be
25:05 In a shocking twist Incin didn't even make it to the finals
For real for real, thanks for the intro. I watch the big Pokémon tour events, but I'm just a spectator.
Wolf, you are a MANECE of pokemon knowledge VGC. We love it
Funny how the dragon that had been a meme because it can't learn Dragon Dance ended up being the strongest among the rest.
How dancing isn't everything: the Garchomp theorem
Weirdly good balancing move by gf, it would've been an absolute monster with that
It's just his personal opinion. In fact, Garchomp struggled in every format where Landorus-T was legal. For the record, both Salamence and Tyranitar had more formats where they were viable and competitive.
@@honestshao6160 It's my favourite Pokemon but Garchomp is arguably a jack-of-all-trades, master of none these days. The Pseudo that been powercreeped the most to the point where what used to be massive selling points, are just kinda, par for the course these days. Definitely feels carried by how dominant it used to be in formats without Lando-T until SV.
@@AriehAnkri Ahahaa, False Swipe Gaming, my bro!
Garchomp has been number one on three lists so far 😭for good reqson ofc.
We need a Soundprood Perish Song runback!
The editing is phenomenal
I think a video made solely on the top 3 pseudo legendaries could honestly be really entertaining. Going into even more depth about how these pokemon perform (especially salamence with aerilate) would be very interesting
Dropping a video this High quality every week.while playing Pokemon competitively is insane..keep it up wolfe😊😊
32:53 need to appreciate
I was about to crash out with him putting dragonite in 7, then I realized he always just means in doubles
You make great videos and I can tell a lot of time is put into them. Keep crushing it.
The dragon scimitar cursor is a nice and funny touch by the editors
Also, Hisuian Goodra doesn't learn Iron Defense. It instead uses Acid Armour/Shelter
They really destroyed shelter this gen. Now it's glorified harden
@@olafmikoaj3121 It's an Iron Defense/Acid Armour clone
@@MaahirMomtaz12 Oh you're right. I was so mad about them removing the obscured effect that I forgot it raised defense by 2 stages. Still just Iron defense clone
@@olafmikoaj3121 It should either also increase Sp.Def by one stage or be overhauled to being a Protect clone that raises defense by one stage.
@@olafmikoaj3121 tbf, Obscure condition in PLA was stupid, your pokemon can't hit and misses the wild pokemon but you can Casillas throw a pokeball at it while it's obscured?
It's pretty great that the worst pseuodo-legendary pokemon is still pretty good
When Wolfey says "competitive" he means Nintendo official competitive.
To be fair, vgc has been the better competitive format for a while now. Rocks and offense creep just made singles too unbalanced without tons of bans.
@@petrie911 True
@@petrie911 Makes me wonder; would there be a lot of outrage if Smogon one day decided to ban Stealth Rock? It is extremely unlikely, given that Stealth Rock has been a central element of their metagame for so long, and they only make bans for things that are too overcentralizing, and there isn't enough support for banning Stealth Rock.
Very enjoyable video for someone like me who just loves pokemon and loves other competitive games
99% why I clicked was the thumbnail.. All these comic thumbnails are just SO GOOD... But the content is awesome as well, even though I don't play Pokémon.
We know that in Wolfey's heart, Incineroar is a Pseudo legendary, so that must mean it's first.
Dragapult deserves more respect. It puts in all of this work while also being a single mother of two
34:00 oh yeah cynthia nightmares 😢
Best pseudo legendary:
Tera-pseudo incineroar
Seeing Metagross in the position of this list makes me so happy, it's my favorite pseudo and it bring so much diversity to this fanmade concept we made with its typing (plus the shiny looks amazing, even more so on the mega)
Well no because of the two-stage.
@@ShenaniganBros1 Sorry, I had the TCG terminology in my head where it’s basic, stage one, stage two
So far it seems pokemon even has an internal name for them, as every pseudo legendary to get a raid has had the internal designation of "Powerhouse Pokémon," and was used for a merch line with the pseudos as well. So even if they did care, just gotta wait for a raid.
"no one would care and still call it a suit of legendary" - SSR typo
Um, about that, the Japanese fans consider Archaludon to be part of this group because they only look at the 600 base stat total and ignore that it has only two stages and requires 250k less experience. So yes, there are some fans arguing over those qualifications (albeit not making the biggest fuss over it).
13:33 so first you ranked dragonite so low and then dragapult??? *I would like to know your location*
I am never scared of a dragonite that should tell you how good it is.
Wait, that Tom cry was hilarious
Masterfully edited video👏🏻
It takes 2:55 for incineroar to appear in a video about pseudolegendaries
Thank u for a distraction while I’m severely hungover
this is so real
You too huh 🥴🍻
Tyranitar didn’t have knock off for most of its life
Tyranitar's ability is so badass. It just comes in a damages all around it just by being there.
Kind of like Godzilla constantly outputting nuclear radiation.
Note that a baby hippo gets sand stream too
Hey Wolfe. Really enjoy your series on who was the best Pokémon of a group from history, but on a video like this with a top 10 + most having already been on your other lists I think I'd be really cool if we got to hear YOUR thoughts on the power of these Pokémon outside of regional mechanics.
