And her unofficial business dinner/dance/playful flirtation with President Lyndon Johnson (that did indeed sway political policy) was a particular fascination of my favorite history teacher in high school. So we were well versed in that slim chapter of her life. I thought those scenes were the most fun of the series so far. If I'm not mistaken, First "Lady Bird" Johnson was as sharp as a razor, knew that something much more important than fun and games was at hand, and did her best to make the princess feel welcome. My parents were very much the same. They were secure in their marriage and never obsessed over fidelity. If a situation were at hand (a car salesman, a speeding ticket, an estimate for needed repair work, etc.), either one would pour on the charm while the other chuckled proudly. As Helena has stated she could write a thesis on what happened and it does sound like one. For one thing it’s important to note that a second home was bought was because Tim bought the house next to Helena’s little house as she said it would be nice to have Mr Right living next door. However when she got pregnant she didn’t have the room in her house but didn’t want to give it up so Tim had the corridor link up the 2 houses and Helena had confirmed that both kids lived in his house. Second it should be noted that Helena doesn’t believe in marriage as she believes that people aren’t meant to be together forever. It may be speculated that Tim had proposed before but Helena didn’t want to. In fact she said in a recent interview that marriage was too much of a decision. So they were never married. So I think after the whole sweeney Todd drama, Tim was trying to be careful in casting her but kept drawing her as the red queen so she was cast in Alice. Helena then thought she would automatically be cast as Angelique in Dark Shadows but both had agreed to not cast her so Tim could work with other actors as Helena gets to work with other directors and just to give the 2 a break. Age differences are silly to think poorly on. My late fiance was 22yrs older than me. My husband now is 21yrs older and we've been happily married 15yrs now. The older men I dated I can look back on as good relationships and the opposite to those closer to my age. I think a lot of times a relationship that has a major age difference in it doesn't fail because of the age difference itself it fails because of outside interference friends and family and other people constantly sticking their noses where they don't belong and instead of helping a relationship they hurt it.
I don’t agree; the more you have in common the better the relationship- music, books, generational thought processes, athletics, foods, religion or not, ideologies, temperaments, & even politics. Some women change their political party for the husband. Having a strong formative relationship with father & mother adds into relationships too. How do I know? Was married to an older man, my fixed wing flight instructor, 15 years senior, & he lied about his age, former marriage, religion & family; he is actor in all things. Had 3 kids after trying to make it cohesive but I grew up & far away from all the deceptions, feeling trapped, not myself.
