- Neil Diamond is interviewed by Geraldo Rivera on August 1976 in NYC (before his opening night show at Forest Hills Stadium).A great personal inteview where Neil talks about his return from a 4 year sabbatical from touring to find himself.
Greatest celebrity who entertained world for over four decades because of unlimited talent and human values/responsibilities. GOD BLESS HIS SOUL.
Beautiful Neil Diamond - best Singer of the World
Neil is an awesome singer! Highly talented, soulful and very human 💕
fantastic magic singer NEIL DIAMOND .... wonderful song ..in.. eternity
I was at those two shows!...front row first night, 5th row 2nd night...it was my first time of the many shows seeing him live...I was only 19 and over the moon excited. Took the train into NYC, from CT to meet my bf from NJ, and realized I’d left the tickets home!! My parents drove quickly 1/2 way and we met them on Merrit Pkwy, and made it to the show on time. My poor parents. My mom, bless her heart, loved to lament and tell that story of “what I put them through.” lol. I digress. Love this man...been a fan forever. Greatest talent. Bless him.
Great interview. He was the most talented, gorgeous singer, songwriter and entertainer ever. His concerts were the best. Sure do miss them.
I love this man
Everyone loves you neil!!!!
Four years after this interview, one of my favourite movies "The Jazz Singer" was released. Still watch it all the time.
A wise man. A great pity other musicians and performers who didn't make it past 30 weren't so wise.
♫Neil the best for ever♫
He's the best singer we ever heard or rather saw he's good looking also no one👏👏👍💖
I was there that hot August night at Forest Hills Stadium. Up in the nose bleed section but it was an unforgettable evening
Wow! I'm jealous...
actually I got to see him for the first time just a couple of months later when he did some shows in Minneapolis, a one-of-a-kind experience!
He is so kind.
Neil Diamond is a smart man who took time away for himself and didn't get himself into the drama. most people can't do that
Great Man is Neil.
The Greatest showman
You are adorable!
♥️🌹
Never quit on you way to the top and at the top. If youre on your way down reinvent yourself if possible. If not then maimtain but never give up.

Hola compañero esta muy bueno el video tienes el concierto entero me gustaria mucho es genial me encanta NEIL DIAMOND y su voz.
Hello fantastic VOZ Neil.
Great
Voz linda!!!
What's interesting about his sabbatical is that about a year after this interview Elvis was dead, so taking the four off when he was that famous probably was a good decision by him...
Young and hot Neil Diamond. ❤❤
tienes un concierto entero seria bueno por favor
Lot of hair in this interview.
He had a gorgeous head of hair back in the day !

Mr. Diamond is one of the few musicians whose conversational voice sounds at least somewhat like his singing voice.
The same cannot be said for the equally talented Gordon Lightfoot, who in interviews around this time period sounds like a totally different person from what we hear on his recordings.
Is that Geraldo?!!
Yes
Yes.
Neil Diamond was in 1977, four days on Tour in Netherland.there were problems with the Hammond organ (117 Volt America-Europe 220 Volt) I'm approached by Lou van Rees Management for a solution to my Hammond Rent. After four days I got my B3 Hammond returned with Fire spots of Cigarettes. It frustrated me.They have me removed me from the Neil Diamond Fan Club because I had this listed on their site.Never Excuse of Neil Diamond ☹️🎹'

@@bevybanks They blocked me from all of the Neil Diamond Fan Clubs. If they had given Apologies I would never have published it.
Gerrit Veldhuisen :( That really sucks.
Wonder if that was Alan Lindgren’s doing, he always was a heavy smoker. As was Neil before he quit.
I'd be pissed too, singing about all these soulful good values and then taking a crap on someone who helped them out...I still like some of his music though, Michael Jackson too😬
Interesting interview. Reminder that everything in the 70s was so ugly except for some of the music.
Couldn’t you say that about any decade, though?
Regular men's hair was awful but I loved the long freeflowing kind, and the women were super hot especially early 70s
I disagree that people and styles were ugly in the 70’s. I think the people and Sykes were beautiful and trendy, and the music was true to words on love and peace and remembered intentionally today, thank goodness for that!!!
