I have always did a little preps maybe about 3 months worth but, since cv-19 I got real serious because I live on a island and food has to be shipped in. we don’t produce any food other than a few farms so now I shop wholesale where restaurants shop and get cases of goods.

Enjoyed the video . Please don't throw your canned goods away when it shows it is expired . If the can looks good and the seal is good and food smells good it is good .
I have home canned butter that is a bit over five years old and it is as fresh as the day I canned it . I keep it in a cool place . I do pressure can mine. I don't know if pressure canning makes the difference but it has worked for me .
    Bless you all , L.

Amazing how many stockups were pre pandemic I'm now reviewing older posts of blogs to see what I wasnt ad prompted to watch. Lol. My grandparents. Parents and us have been doing stockup bins for years. As we donate, move on to family and fill community corner blessing boxes. So we do go thru tryouts trying products til we bulk buy 12- 125 of each. So we do get about 1/3 move on every year. Awesome. We do big totes, vs trying to keep clean shelves for our big bulk storage. We dont do mylar or sugars, salts, flour, grains any longer as we are bear retirement and prefer to freeze our doughs and like our grains packaged to know size portion. But we can easily pull a tote wat thing tv, go thru pull almost expired, & use or donate then pull it all out and refill with new bought product. We buy bulk every 3 months and trial stuff every 2 weeks.

"Hamburger Helper"? I had to to Google that one. "It consists of boxed dried pasta, with the seasonings contained in a powdered sauce packet. The product line also features products with other starches, such as rice or potatoes." Not at all what the brand name suggests - weird.

I was reading the comments on another prepper video, and this man said the authorities came into his house and took all of his supplies 1200 pounds of food his gun everything. They told him it was against the law to stockpile food and supplies! Yet the official websites of FEMA and other government agencies are saying to have anywhere from 3-6 months of food, water and medical supplies on hand in case of an emergency! As they said in the 80s go figure. One lady said to stock up on baby and children's clothing even for someone like me who has no children or grandchildren, clothing will be a great barter item when the grid goes down. Diapers for babies and adults will be needed too.

Can you tell me where you got that tangerines drink mix? I love tangerines anything! I have two tubes of tangerines chap stick !I hate water and am hooked on Mt. Dew to the tune of a 2liter of more bottle a day. I spent four days in the hospital last week with about 8 different diagnoses. One was dehydration plus I was malnourished because I went 3 months with hardly any food not even bread. The dehydration was most likely caused by all the caffiene in the Mt. Dew ! I need to get off it and would love to have a tangerines drink when I run out of Dew If I have kill aid of Hawaiian punch, I will mix and match together fruit punch, cherry and black cherry. Those are the only ones I get or the sugar free individual packs and mix two in my big hospital cup with ounce markings on it and add some real sugar to make it taste better.I live in Central Florida in Leesburg about 45 minutes from Mt.Dora and an hour from Disney and in the other direction about 45 minutes from Ocala where I lived with my kids and ex. For about 14 years. I miss Ocala. I got the impression you might live in Florida too because you said you were going to be driving " UP " to Georgia ? I was hoping so and hoping you got that drink mix at Publix WalMart, Sac A Lot, or Aldi' s ? We DO have a Winn Dixie but it's kinda far and I have no transportation and my only relative in town, my daughter doesn't either .I already depend on my neighbor and friend to take me too all my doctor appts. And I hate to ask for anything else. She is leaving on May 2 nd. To go stay with and take care of a relative in the Atlanta,Ga. Area. She will be gone for a month so I have to get all my docs in before then. I still have a surgical drain I in from my emergency operation last week and it has to come out asap. . Anyhow, please, please, please tell me you got that at one of my grocery stores. We do have a Sam's I could go as a guest. Never been to it. But don't have a Costco. Thanks, I hope you see this!
