I built 2 of the villager crop farms. Because of this, I now have 4 villagers in another location, but I put their 4 beds with the iron farm/trading hall beds. While I was transporting the villagers to the crop farm, iron golems started spawning everywhere. I didn’t think it was a big deal but now I can’t get any to spawn
I fixed it after watching this. I destroyed extra beds and workstations for the crop farm, relinked villagers in the iron farm to their stations and find the extra golems that spawned outside the iron farm and kill them.
In bedrock there is an order to the working stations. So make sure to pay importance to which villager assigns to which working stations. If they can’t touch the one they got then they won’t work. All the villagers will assign to workstations in a order.

So I was actually having a lot of trouble keeping the iron farm from breaking. It would inconsistently spawn golems and a lot of the time none at all. Tried all of the fixes including the most time consuming resynching beds and work stations. The only solution that fully fixed my farm was I created a 10x3 area for the villagers in the same spot that the 1x3 area shown. It seemed that they were either desyncing from their stations or not able to work under the current circumstance. Ever since I changed the holding for the villagers its completely eliminated any issues or breaking occurances. I've done this to all 4 of these that I have and they all work fully and never break.
Oh my god you read my mind. I've been building an Iron farm, and tweaking it to try and get it to work, and then I see this literally as soon as I'm about to give up.

I have 20 villagers and have used all the tips he gave but mine still isn’t working. It worked before which is weird but now it’s broken and I have no idea why
Honestly your video on iron farm + trading hall is the answer to these problems. By having the trading hall, it keeps the villagers linked to their work stations easily which can otherwise be difficult to do on bedrock because of the order of villagers working. And it means I dont have to build two farms hundreds of blocks apart for what i want in one.

Thank you! This really helped, i was having trouble with them spawning outside, finding the village leader and moving his bed fixed everything perfectly
Love love love. I built it. 1st stage. Was working. But there is many things that I think I did around the area and broke it somehow along the way. This video is much appreciated. Thank you
Same I linked all my villagers to there respective workstations and beds but they aren't even spawning cats please tell me if you found the answer to this on another video
Not the most technical player, but I'd try checking if there ar any OTHER villagers in the area, even if the villagers in the farm are correctly linked to everything, having more villagers/linkable blocks around the farm could bug it. Bugrock. You could also try checking the area around for any golems, if there are golems around, ofc the farm won't spawn any more. Do /kill @e [type=iron_golem] and see if that works out for you. I could be wrong at things but worth a try. Peace
When i made mine it didnt work because my villagers were too cramped in one space and couldnt reach their workstations, so i only kept 10 villages and gave them space to walk and it worked for me
Thank you so so much i made your iron golem farm and it wasn't working so i looked at this and I found out that villagers had to have there work station right in front of them so I fixed that and now it works amazing!
I build a farm without tutorial, just reading the mechanic for my one chunk challenge, at the bottom of my chunk (bedrock) to be unbothered with my village of de-zombified villagers. It was working very well despite behind pretty simple, but suddenly stopped working. Thanks for going though those steps, it help me to figure out what was stunting my farm. Even if it was a simple fix: half got stuck in a wall and weren't reaching their stations (therefore weren't working). Once I remove the relief that was getting them stuck, golem return as normal.
When I originally built the farm (silent's tutorial btw), wanted to build the final version, but the villagers are honestly such a pain so I did the intermediate version instead. But golems did not spawn at all and I was really disappointed. This video helped a lot. The moment I redid the beds and the workstations golems spawned in less than 10 seconds. Highly recommend using silent's tutorial. Will type the rates I got here after 1 hour. Edit: 1 and a half stack of iron afking for 1 hour (without sleeping)
Make sure if you have the farm type where the villagers are trapped in a 1 block space and there are ten of them, make sure the water is in the cage, I had everything else perfectly set up but that threw me off
I built an iron farm over the last two days and at first it was spawning golems, though half of them were spawning outside the farm and at some point while I was placing blocks around to keep them from spawning, they just stopped spawning altogether. I had five of my own cats near the farm, so cats weren’t spawning either, but no golems. I tried so many different things (including almost dying to a zombie that I was trying to lead into a box because I had no idea that wasn’t a thing in Bedrock 😝), but came up with no reasons why it wasn’t working. This video was so helpful! Now I have an idea of what might be the problem. I’m feeling a lot less frustrated now, so thank you! I’m brand new to Minecraft, so all the videos I watch take for granted a lot of knowledge about the basic mechanics of the game that I just don’t have. For example, I’d heard people use the term “nitwit” to refer to certain villagers, but I had no idea that meant they were villagers who couldn’t have jobs or what they looked like. And now I’m thinking back to several times I put a work station in front of what I now know was a nitwit over and over again and absolutely confused about why he wasn’t becoming that profession. 🤦♀️😂
Can you build iron farms in the nether/end to avoid issues with nearby villager farms or tech? I'd rather put it in another dimension and not worry, just afk there every now and then.
I happened to have half of my villagers turn into zombie villagers, and I really don't know how it happened as the villagers were locked in their glass cabin up in the air.
Thank you so much! I built your farm but it was not working, and I was too lazy to fix it, but by using the information in this video I was able to create my own (very shabby) iron farm.
THANK YOU so much! My golums were not spawning and I couldn't figure out why. Turned out I had an extra villager. Got rid of him and now my iron farm works!
What do you do about the villagers unlinking from their stations regardless of standing in water or not. I have also had them completely switch trades in my trading hall when they are fully maxed out. I have reported the bug, but it doesn't seem like mojang really cares to fix it with the update coming up. I had reported it like 6 months ago or better.
@@jacobjenkins805 of course! They won't link to the work stations without them. I got it fixed. I had to eliminate all the villagers and I moved the whole farm.
Bro you're a saviour! I placed and broke workstations and beds like 3 times and still won't spawn GOlems... This video made me check villager count... I had 21, and only 20 beds... Thank YYOOOUU!!!
Thank you for this information on the mechanics of iron farms! It really helped me as I was getting VERY low volume spawning. The issue was the beds being too low from the spawning platform so I moved it up a little and that fixed the problem! 💕
Leaving a comment to boost engagement- My farm wasnt working, turns out I had 21 villagers and only 20 beds 😅 Used your more recent iron farm and trading hall design, works great! Amazing stuff
Figured it out, my farm was only spawning cats. You need to have exactly as many beds as villagers. My villagers kept mating and spawning more and no golems would spawn.
I have built one of your farm. That farm where you have platform campfire on lava block and 10 villagers. I have more than 10 villager in that box and 10 have jobs . Water is there and beds too . I have replaced beds and they are not spawning . Need help Edit: just cat spawns and I'm under the farm . Should i be more away or not?
Did you give them food? If you have only one pod and have 20 beds (the minimum) they probably bred babies and grew up. Your farm probably broke because the babies that grew up ddont have any work benches.
Thank you! I built my iron farm but it didn't work at all, it was the work stations not being directly infront. Saved me a ton of troubleshooting by myself
This was really really really good info that no other channel gave extremely helpful didn’t know about the minimum villager requirement or the lack of scaring in bedrock thank you for your help
Can you do a video similar to this but for trading halls? The issue I have with my current one is villagers constantly unlink from their workstations or they wont refresh their inventories. It would help a ton. Thank you for all the amazing bedrock content as well!
Thank you so much for this!!! I couldn't get golems to spawn and it turned out that there were somehow 2 extra villagers in my farm so I added 2 beds and it worked straight away!!
My iron farm has been working perfectly up until the last fix a couple weeks back; now my golems are occasionally spawning under the farm! They're fenced in so I know they're still spawning in range, I doubled up the leaves on the border to be sure, I dug down another 3 layers underneath to be sure, put leaves over the beds because they kept spawning on them as well. Not sure what to do anymore to fix it! (I have a wall 100 blocks out in every direction to make sure I have no beds/workstations within range as well)
I’ve been going 10 hours on this farm and you’re the only one to tell me my zombie is just a waste of time 🤦🏼♂️🤓 why can’t both versions just be the same so I don’t have to guess what version of tutorial I’m watching 🙈🙄
My farm wasn’t working for a while, but when watching the video all of a sudden it started working ironically, when you were talking about the only thing I haven’t done and that was lit an entire day pass without sleeping so that way they could work and then have worked for that previous day It is annoying how inconsistent they spawn though
So here is the villager workstation fix I use. Make a 2x2x2 cube, cover the faces of each side with workstations and remove the inner cube. That's 24 workstations max, (20 if you leave the lid off). Fill the space with 20 villagers. Done.
The two biggest challenges I have with Bedrock are villagers un-linking from beds and workstations, and entities despawning across chunk borders. I really hope those will be fixable at some point in the future! Won’t stop villagers from being frustrating though. 😑
Silent I need help! Built your starter iron farm in my solo world, works like a charm. Built it on my friends realm, exactly the same, but all I can get is cats. No other workstations, beds or bells in over 100 blocks, and I’ve broken and re linked all the beds and workstations in the farm multiple times. Any other suggestions?
What if you put a zombie in the middle where the iron golems drops so they go to the lava faster (or instead of zombies any mob that angers the iron golem)?
I've had the continual problem of it not spawning iron golems. Thanks for the video and mentioned that you have to be within 80 blocks of the farm for the golems to spawn. Now I just need to AFK for a minute or so and then the Iron Golems begin to spawn again. Just wish it would work when I was further away.
I have a weird issue with my farm. My bottom layer actually has a slight border around it - it’s completely enclosed, entirely dark, and the height is such that golems can’t spawn there. Up until a month or so ago, I would get a slow but steady stream of other loot (rotten flesh, bones, slimeballs etc) from the other mobs that were spawning. But then, that just suddenly stopped and I have no idea why. The iron farm itself has continued to run absolutely fine.
when he explained how it works to me and I tried it it actually worked now I just need to find a farm design that fits this cuz I can’t come up with any thx you so much
After trying and trying and trying I finally managed to make the farm work!! TYSM for the tutorial my dude! There's some issues tho. It should be 8x8 instead of 7 cuz of the water flowing into the kill chamber. I modified your idea a bit and fixed the issue! Also saved all my cats too xD ty again for the video!
@@Lupzyedits yeah sometines. This farm stops spawning iron golems for some reason. One time I noticed it stoped spawning, so I made a crwstive copy to try to fix it, only to realize its working. Cane back to the survival to see that is working for some reason
@@dianaschroder7161 I already fixed mine. Try to make sure that there's no nitwit villagers that'll connect to the bed, if they did; kill them, remove the bed, the put it back, get a villager with a job then let it connect to the bed. (If that's what you did but still producing cats, tame 5 cats and lt them stay on the farm.)
After many days of troubleshooting with 4 villager cells of 5 dudes each, I assigned different jobs to each cell and figured out that some of my villagers are connecting to jobs on a different side than they're on preventing them from working. No matter what I do I cannot get them all to grab the jobs by them. I'm hoping maybe there'll be an update that'll force them to grab what's closest, even if it's just from resetting them or something. I'm desperate for iron and need this working.
So I ended up altering the villager section into a single room over the center of the beds, similar to a different video I saw (don't remember whose atm). This made it so they could all get to their stations and they couldn't sleep either. I stationed some cats in there too to keep them from spawning cats and keep with only golems. This worked for about a week until lightning apparently broke through the leaves I had over them and turned them into witches (while I was afk). Now my farm is broken and I have to entirely restock the villagers from my broken breeder (breeders keep escaping their boat). The maintenance and rebuilding of these farms is a royal pain.
@silentwisperer, IDK why but no matter what I do, my iron farm won't make any golems. I replaced the beds and I replaced the work stations 2-3 times, and its still not making any golems. If you have a solution to this, reply to it. (btw I'm playing in 1.21.2 Bedrock Edition).
Thank you so much! My issue was that I had more villagers than beds. I had 20+ villagers and 20 beds, so I added 4 beds then everything started working.

I fixed it after watching this. I destroyed extra beds and workstations for the crop farm, relinked villagers in the iron farm to their stations and find the extra golems that spawned outside the iron farm and kill them.
make sure to kill the iron golems
In bedrock there is an order to the working stations. So make sure to pay importance to which villager assigns to which working stations. If they can’t touch the one they got then they won’t work. All the villagers will assign to workstations in a order.

@@johnleneriesanroque8156 delink and relink them. That is the problem unfortunately. Make sure they all got workstations they can work at
So I was actually having a lot of trouble keeping the iron farm from breaking.
Helped
Seems it fixed my issue. At some time golems stopped spawning, all I got was kittens. Thx
Oh my god you read my mind. I've been building an Iron farm, and tweaking it to try and get it to work, and then I see this literally as soon as I'm about to give up.
I was having all sorts of trouble figuring out the issue until I watched your video and grabbed a bell from a nearby village. Turned out Villagers in my friends' house got switched to the 'Leader' when I destroyed the bed of my leader. Thanks again this really helped!

Thank you so much for this video!! It is absolutely packed with all the knowledge I needed to fix my first iron farm and get it working!

Great video! There are a lot of tutorials but very little actually explain how they work and makes it very hard finding what you made wrong
Love love love. I built it. 1st stage. Was working. But there is many things that I think I did around the area and broke it somehow along the way. This video is much appreciated. Thank you
I tried this, but my iron farm still doesn't work.
Peace
@@yuvgrover6100 Yea, I already did that, but still no.

Thank you so so much i made your iron golem farm and it wasn't working so i looked at this and I found out that villagers had to have there work station right in front of them so I fixed that and now it works amazing!
Thanks for this. The latest issue I had turned out to be maxed out cat spawns!
You are a hero, I took out all my work stations then put them back one at a time & minutes later I am the iron farm master! 😎
I'd rather put it in another dimension and not worry, just afk there every now and then.

there is no reason to have more than 20 villagers if an iron farm is the only purpose.
He meant rates wise it doesn't do anything so yeah you can have more than 20 but you'll still get the same drop rates as the 20 villager iron farm
