Anchorage is a pleasantly cold city with majestically beautiful surroundings too. JHVO was there 14 years ago. To tell you more about my experience in Anchorage, AK, let's send your inquiry to: holmes.aptitud@outlook.es
Thanks for posting. I'm from Dutch Harbor and sometimes I get stuck at ANC for days trying to get in. The positive to that is I know ANC like the back of my hand, but it's still entertaining to watch and this could be very useful for others. :)
@@MilfHunter03 because I'm from Dutch Harbor, and if we want to go anywhere we have to go through Anchorage. It's the same situation for most parts of Alaska as well. Other than Fairbanks and southeast Alaska, everyone traveling to and from the lower 48 or any international destination has to go through Anchorage. Anchorage gets lots of tourists processors and oil rig workers that aren't residents, so that's another reason why Anchorage is so busy. I really like Alaska, and I'll probably never move.
@@MilfHunter03 basically most people in Alaska traveling has to go to anchorage to fly anywhere. ANC also has a lot of tourists arriving and departing during the summer. In the summer there are about 26-28 flights departing between 1130pm-230am. In the winter there are about 6-7 flights departing during that same time period. It’s also one of the top 5 cargo airports in the world and the ranking varies year to year but they are right up there with Ohare and Hong Kong when it comes to cargo operations.
ANC might have not ever been closed for snow but they have been closed for wind and volcanic ash before. It was so windy once when I was working there, that air traffic control had to evacuate the tower and those big looking marshmallow cargo containers were blowing across the runways and taxi ways like tumbleweeds
I think it's 6:00 to 11:00 Monday/Saturday and 8:00 to 8:00 on Sundays approximately. Cost $2 to get into downtown Anchorage. I've ridden the bus in Anchorage a couple time like I have in many other cities
I hope you can see my question🙏: at 3:30 once you get off the plane (on local flights) you dont have to go thru any security or immigration checkpoint right? But on 5:00 you said you had to leave the security area? So after you leave the plane are you good leave or nope? 😕
For domestic arriving passengers, once you get off the plane, you are good to leave. If you have checked-in baggage then don't forget to pick-up your baggage from the Baggage claim belt.

Amazing! ANC has changed a lot since I lived there.

Awesome
Do they now have sleeping pods? Do you have to reserve
No, we didn't see any sleeping pods at Anchorage Airport.
Is there a "Welcome to Alaska or Anchorage" signage inside the airport?
yep, but its in the north terminal however

@@Hipfig thankyouu!
Filipino at 3:26! yey!!!
There are many Filipino’s here in Alaska, including me haha.
The ruffs seem to get a whole lot smaller in this side of the country. Maybe it is because of heating purposes
For domestic travel is there any immigration?
No, only international travel between countries.
at minute 3:35 you say "if you are an international passenger .." Am I arriving from California considered an international flight?
No, California to Alaska is a domestic flight.
Are you an idiot? Duah California is a domestic flights... Think about what you're saying..
Is there a Tim Hortons there?
Our team don't remember seeing any Tim Hortons at Anchorage Airport.
Happy Travels! 🙂
