I never even wore a helmet never mind body armor but you are my main source of catching up to speed with the times I really like your thinking it’s mine as well I want shit that works at a frugal price after all I’m the CEO of the frugal club........👍🏻🇺🇸
I loaned one to my brother to use at the tail of the Dragon. his throttle got stuck from new hand grip install. 1500 miles after the fact anyways, over the hill he went in this jacket and Tour master solution ll boots. And he walked away, got the bike pulled out and rode the rest of the week. he was trapped under the bike, this saved a lot of injury and burns. so it did work.
ATTN FYI- Many of you have asked me about the unprotected areas on the Perrini Armor jacket, such as the sides of the rib cage where there is no armor. Although I think you will be ok at city speeds, my solution is to wear a kevlar shirt underneath the armor jacket fro extra protection. Here is a link to where you can get a kevlar shirt: amzn.to/1lSGktO
I got a second one for $75. Its just too good to pass up. BTW the GoPro mounts stick to it. And the double screw thing you used will also mount in any slot on the hard surface just put a nut on it with some loctite.
Thanks for always hooking us up with videos like this! This is why I'm subscribed to you. I'm a new rider and had NO idea how expensive things can get for body protection. Thank you!
Another option to hi-viz vests is hi-viz tape. I carefully cut some patterns into my hi-viz orange tape and man did it improve my black helmet's visibility and looks. I also placed two small over cutouts on my bike tastefully. You could cut a nice pattern and a few on your plastic outer armor parts. This will allow air to flow through your jacket better then the vest. I'll try to post a video of my customized helmet, soon.
ATTN: FYI: This armor jacket does come with shoulder straps that attaches to the screw holes at the top the chest armor an the top of the back armor . I didn't know what the straps were for b/c the picture did not show the straps.
I'm considering purchasing one of these as an alternative to expensive martial arts protective gear. My two questions are, first, do you think that the forearm/elbow protection could stand up to a decent swing from a blunt steel blade, and second, will this allow you to raise your arms above your head?
Perfect. This hi viz jacket will go nicely with under armour jacket. I personally will also be, on warmer days be wearing a yellow or hi viz hoodie instead of the rain jacket on top of armour jacket. Thanks again for recommendation.
Hey man, thanks for this review. I have a winter suit that wind/water proof, but has no armor. Been looking for something to wear under it. This is perfect.
I loved your idea. Ended up buying the Fox Titan motocross armour jacket for Australian summer. It was relatively cheap and soooo much better in the heat. I thought i might attract a bit of ridicule for looking like a Power Ranger or something but quite the opposite - other riders were hella jealous in their sweaty textile jackets!
+CycleCruza I am from Brazil, i like your channel because have amazing tips, thank you for share good information! i subbbed and share with my friends.
Just bought it using your link like 5 minutes ago. Was really looking for a mesh jacket for summer to add to my leather one, it gets really hot here in Philly. I'm sure this will do perfect
Cool. This jacket will run cooler than any other type of motorcycle jacket. I've had other non-leather summer jackets and they did not flow as much air as this armor jacket.
@Megan Walsh - This armor jacket is not good to wear underneath a jacket unless you get a big size and then you will look like herman munster on steroids. lol They sell armor shirts that you can wear underneath a jacket.
Check out the Draggin Jeans Kevlar Long sleeve shirt to toss over that jacket and then you will have abrasion protection along with impact. Only about 100 bucks and air just goes straight through the shirt. Great info on the armor jacket, thanks!
This jacket has abrasion-resistant slider panels! No need to wear anything over it. Believe me I've seen cats walk away from crashes with just long sleeve shirts, this jacket will protect you, if you get one you will see how well constructed this jacket is..
Excellent. Thanks for the information. You had my attention when you said this ce armour jacket costs around 100 dollars. lol. I will definitely be buying one. I recently paid $350.00 for my winter bike jacket, which i thought was a rip off. Furthermore, here in Sydney last winter was very mild. Thanks again. All the best.😊
I have this same piece of armor. I usually wear large shirts and everybody says get one size bigger so I got an XL. Still too small. Go two sizes bigger. It was really digging into my arm pits while riding in this. I cut the sleeves off and just use the spine and chest protector
It's supposed to fit body tight to keep the armor secure, it should not fit like a regular jacket. Mine is super tight but doesn't dig into my armpits. I was going to get an XL but I wanted it to fit under my jacket but it still wouldn't fit under my jacket. I wish I had an XL or bigger but I'll just break it in the more I wear it. I bought this jacket last year but just got around to trying it out.
That's a similar system to what I run.. I told ya that was the way to go.. MODERN BABY! Its 2014.. I run the Icon version of that. I wouldn't call that a true "jacket" though.. its a exoskeleton. I went down in Icon version without a jacket over it and it worked real well.. I did get a spot of roadrash on my left love-handle though, they got "weak spots" in them. For full protection you want to run a textile mesh jacket with the internal armor removed. Icon Contra has been the best one for the money I have found. Yeah, exoskeleton type armor is the SHIT! Glad you came on board. CC.. now you WILL walk away from a low-side at 60mph without much problem as long as you "ragdoll".. don't fight it, just let it happen. It doesn't hurt with that shit on anyway. Youll feel fine for most of the day, when you wake up the next morning youre gonna feel that someone worked you over with a baseball bat. Youll barley be able to move... Now get yourself some knee and shin guards..you wont believe how much damage happens to your lower leg without them.. that last lowside would have taken my knee cap off without them.. EVERY TIME Ive gone down, your knee and shin takes a beating.. you should see my knee guards.. looks like someone took a belt sander to them.. they survive multiple wipeouts too so they last. I use these and you should be able to find them cheaper than this.. I think I paid 60 www.jazzmotorsports.com/knox-cross-max-knee-guards-pair-black-p-318900.html?gclid=CJyWru7cib0CFcZZ7AodV2UAEA They are multi pupose and you can customize them , get rid of the cheesy graphics. I wanted something that would work with short boots and go OVER my riding pants so I could take them off when I got to where I was going. The protection is amazing and Ive battle tested them, You can trust them at street and highway speeds up to 65mph at least.
I wear AGVSport Willow perforated leather pants with CE Armor underneath my camo pants in the winter (To keep cold air from coming in), and in the summer I wear the leather CE armor pants alone. I will never stop wearing motorcycle pants. Like I said in my video I went down on a scooter in the rain and my hip and shin got bruised and scraped. That day I went down on the scoot I ordered the motorcycle pants.
CycleCruza oh hell yeah.. average dude out there thinks its all just helmet and jacket. .. that's because hes never been down. Without lower body protection you get FUCKED UP!
Raider Rick I ordered one and I'm 5,7 170 but I'm a small guy I got a large but these things run very very small. I would get the x large for sure cause the large you might even be able to put it on and I'm being literal.
Hey CycleCruza i have watched almost all of you're videos and you have inspired me to ride i live in LasVegas i recently bought a CBR250R and a CBR600RR The picture you see in my youtube is my 2009 CBR600RR. I bought this whole setup 5 mins ago when i buy my GoPro shout me out i will be doing some nice videos out here at the strip thanks
Thanks for the great review! Question... do we have any testimonies of people who have crashed with this armor jacket on? how well did it protect? Obviously we cant ask you to crash test dummy it!!! Happy holidays! I read Michael Scott's.
hey cruza, everytime i click tha link in tha description to look at tha Kevlar shirt you were talking about it sends me to tha jacket on amazon instead. just a heads up! ride safe man
hey hello... I really like this sort of armor... yet it seems to be ok for cold to mildly cold climates... imagine wearing this gear in Florida... Texas... Alabama... or México city... you will be burning in your own juices... in 5 minutes... is there a option for such hot climates??? ... lets also consider that many riders are going to be walking for many hrs with this stuff... like me... as I am looking to be protected when driving yet I also need to take long repeated walks to my costumers... options?
Ha Ha! I was going ask why you don't just Plasti Dip the jacket the way you did the helmet. Fortunately, I came across part 2 of this review before asking. :)
Hey love the videos, Im a beginner rider only riding for about 2 months now and have been guilty of riding with no gear, not even gloves, just a helmet. I'm thinking about picking this jacket up, my question is if I can throw a sweater on top of this
Nice video cruza, hey guys I don't know you but I'm 6.0 ft and 200 lb with a bare chest of 44" and I ordered the 2XL size and I think fits just right, just my two cents about size if you are in the same dilemma like I was when I ordered, thanks cruza very informative video bro.
Almost bought one of those at my local bike shop, went with a tactile mesh jacket that matched my bike with just as good protection(once I upgraded the back protector). But definitely a good choice for the money. Mine did cost about twice that. Good review bro
Thanks! yeah you can't beat the price and it's a good quality jacket. I threatened to get one of these type of jackets for a long time and I'm glad I did. I will be able to enjoy riding on hot summer days much better with this jacket.
Cruza - Excellent review. Excellent. Went to Cycle Gear today and spent several hours trying on out various mesh body armor suits. Most are bulky and uncomfortable. The Fox Triton is pretty a good fit. Problem is that my Aerostitch outer shell (which I'd wear when it's cooler) gets hung up on the top of the back protector and I can't get the Aerostitch off. I like the Perrini because the armor is nicely contoured. It appears that it would work well with my Aerostitch outer shell. Question for you regarding fit... I am 5'10" and weight 210 lbs, with a 45" chest. Should I get the XL or the XXL? Thx Cruza.
Hey , Like the vid, however the CE question keeps appearing. When you received the jacket did it come with any labels , documents or CE logos with notification body certificate numbers, four usually, to actually say it's CE approved or are you getting the info from the sales blurb.
LYD - Live Your Dream, you never hear of the new ce protection they came out with? It's call imaginary ce... it's made of this new impact resistance material called foam.
You get three different levels of armour. CE rated (*which is rubbish). Level 1 (I've got both level 1 & level 2 back protectors and one of my level 1(*KNOX BACK PROTECTOR) feels very solid and I've had someone git me with a bat and I could hardly feel it. I prefer it over a shorter level 2 RST jacket insert e en tough the level 2 is supposed to absorb twice the inpacr. The Knox protector covers the whole spine. I'd rather have that than have the bottom third exposed. Level 2 is supposed to absorb twice the amount of impact but I feel the KNOX level 1 is better. Always ask the sellee if uts CE certified level 1 or 2. Dont accept just CE certified. That's all I can say on the subject.
I really like the idea of using the armor in replacement of a jacket, but i am worried about possible road rash on the unprotected areas, especially the sides(of the rib cage) where sliding is very possible. have you considered this? it is only thing stopping me from buying it so far. I wouldnt want to purchase an additional jacket to put overtop
Wear a kevlar shirt underneath if you are concerned. Kevlar shirts are still cool in hot weather but will protect your skin. Here is the link to where you can get a kevlar shirt: amzn.to/1lSGktO
How adjustable is this jacket? The reason I ask is that I just measured my chest at 44", but I know my weight fluctuates a lot, depending on how active I am. I could see myself fluctuating between 42" and 46" and would like to pick one that may be a little large but that can be adjusted pretty tight if necessary.
You can adjust the arms and the kidney belt. Go exactly by the sizing chart. Never get it too big, I tried an an extra large and it was too big. You want the jacket tight to help keep the armor in place, also, you will wear it in and it will fit better the more you wear it. Best of luck!
I know this vid is for the jacket but I wanna ask.....what pants are those? If their street pants I'd like to know brand and price but if their normal pants I'd still like to know :) they look cool
what if i buy something like the fox titan sport body armour . its almost the same but made for offroad . yes its more expensive but go check it out . please someone answer haha . this perrini doesnt ship to where i live
I got the Dainese Manis jacket 59 last April. I think I look ridiculous in it for casual riding. I had a football jersey on top of it and still think looks lame. I wish if I can find some kind of jacket to wear on top of it, any ideas?
just going home from getting my battery for my kz 305 kawasaki. ..they didn't have this jacket. they only had the brand fox..what do you think of that brand do you have any info ?thanx
I see that they have a version for night visibility for $99. instead of black, the armor has a green outlining. do you recommend that over the normal $80 one?
Always look up some *hi viz* stickers and stuff like that, just put them on whatever you want standing out more, at least as a cheaper alternative until you can get FULL hi viz gear.
I need armor like this but it would be way to big for me because I'm 5'0 and about 28 in the chest where could I custom order a jacket that would fit me properly?
I know exactly how you feel, bud. I'm also a shortie. Sucks that we always get the short end of the stick. (Pun definitely intended). But, this jacket sure would be neat.
CycleCruza, I,m a beginner and looking around for good gear. and click on every link you put out for your gear, only almost every link is sold out on amazone, btw, do you know if amazone also delivers in the Netherlands?
I am terrible at sizes if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. I am 6'1 at 150lbs so a large? CycleCruza is a bit larger than me and he said it was a bit tight so I am thinking it will fit me fairly well. Great vid btw!
You want it tight to keep the armor in place, will be safer for you. You can get the XL and just pull the adjustment straps tighter to fit you. That way you will grow into it as well. Best of luck!
Its a cool and safe jacket, but the problem i have with it, is, that it has no jacket pocket, whcih i need for my phone&purse. Also I would like to wear a jacket over it, when its rainy or colder.
Get some motorcycle cargo pants with huge pockets on the side. I wear camo pants with big pockets on the side, underneath the pants I wear leather motorcycle pants for protection, at least in the winter time and cool days.
CycleCruza mhh yeah. I dont like to hav ig motorcycle pants in the summer, but ill find a option that will suit me the most. Bought this amor jacket. Hopefully it will come tomorrow or the day after (;
Cycle cruza you are awesome. I really enjoy your videos and sure thing is that I've learned a lot about motorcycles from your channel (I am already a subscriber but if I could I'd subscribe a 2nd time as well) . I have a bit of a problem about this armour. From the chart you feature in your video I'm a size M but on the link you provide it seems like I need an XL. I have a 39 in chest 32,5 in waist a 30in belly a 23 in sleeve and a 22 in torso. Which size should I choose? I would really appreciate it if you could help me on this one. I know you probably won't be following such an old comment section but I thought I'd better give it a try, besides, what do I have to lose?
+FUMan661 Leather with CE armor is better but this jacket will do in the summer when it hot as hell outside but I've had viewers tell me this CE armor jacket held up in a crash.
Another great video CycleCruza. Just on question here, I'm really looking forward to getting this body armored jacket but I'm kind of worried it will interfere with the neck brace, especially in the spine area. Do you ride this with a neck brace ? Any idea? Thanks man!
Thanks, no I don't ride with a neck brace. Just remove those shoulder straps, that should prevent interference. Actually, the shoulder straps are not on when you get the jacket, they are in the box, you can choose to put the straps on or not.
CycleCruza Thanks man, just wondering, what are your thoughts regarding wearing a neck brace on the road, since many motorcyclists suffer from severe neck injuries, leaving them paraplegic or quadraplegic. I know a helmet is a must but it seems like many riders don't know or care about neck protection. What is your input on this case Cruza? It would be nice if you made a video regarding your opinion on neck braces and its usefulness. Cheers!

Cool. This jacket will run cooler than any other type of motorcycle jacket. I've had other non-leather summer jackets and they did not flow as much air as this armor jacket.
I wear one of these with a full longsleeve high viz contruction mesh shirt. best combo for summer riding
Agree with the sizing. Order at least one size bigger. Better yet, visit a store that sells these and try 'em on... Then buy online and save money...

I love how passionate you are about safety! Good video bro

Picking up the icon stryker rig for this AZ summer!
$75 for the Perrini armored jacket compared to $250 for the Icon Stryker jacket and it doesn't have as much protection as the Perrini jacket.
Good review man.. I've been looking for something to wear in the summer that will keep me from burning up and keep me protected..
Also at that price, you can't beat it. Plus you can throw on a little cool hoodie on it and still be safe and look good :)
True that! Honestly, I was getting tired of wearing a heavy leather jacket, I'm glad I found this option.
Looking forward to ordering one of these
That's badass Bro. I hate wearing a jacket when it is warm outside. Thanks for sharing. Love the channel.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I hate wearing leather on hot summer days as well. This armor jacket should fir the bill.
I need this since it has been super hot in California. Thanks CycleCruza

I really like this armor jacket especially for the price. Perrini is good stuff
I think I paid 60

They are multi pupose and you can customize them , get rid of the cheesy graphics.
Gloomshadow100 True that!
hey those "gopro" attachments are coincidence. a couple of straps go from front to back and attach to those metal inserts; not sure where yours are
Raider Rick I ordered one and I'm 5,7 170 but I'm a small guy I got a large but these things run very very small.
Hey thanks for watching my videos! Much appreciated. Congrats on the new bikes! Best of luck!
Thanks for the great review! Question... do we have any testimonies of people who have crashed with this armor jacket on? how well did it protect? Obviously we cant ask you to crash test dummy it!!! Happy holidays! I read
Michael Scott's.
sweet, guna order me one of those! what are those pants, they look cool!
Here is the link: amzn.to/1qkNl7Q
I think they have listend to you and now you can get it in hi viz.
If you want better protection... You should Put a ballistic vest with Plates on top of that Armor Jacket.
hey cruza, everytime i click tha link in tha description to look at tha Kevlar shirt you were talking about it sends me to tha jacket on amazon instead. just a heads up! ride safe man
hey hello... I really like this sort of armor... yet it seems to be ok for cold to mildly cold climates... imagine wearing this gear in Florida... Texas... Alabama... or México city... you will be burning in your own juices... in 5 minutes... is there a option for such hot climates??? ... lets also consider that many riders are going to be walking for many hrs with this stuff... like me... as I am looking to be protected when driving yet I also need to take long repeated walks to my costumers... options?
You are at the Cemetery.. Damn Cruza, you are die hard!!
what better way to feel alive than ride through a cemetery? lol
Gotcha
Actually, I just stopped by that cemetery to see my late dad and bro's grave. I figured while I was there I would get some video footage in. lol
I want one of these but I’d have to wear it under a jacket. Don’t wanna look like the turtle squad rushing in on an inmate 😂
been thinking about getting this jacket thanks for the review
Ha Ha! I was going ask why you don't just Plasti Dip the jacket the way you did the helmet. Fortunately, I came across part 2 of this review before asking. :)
Thank you for the review is real helping out
Hey love the videos, Im a beginner rider only riding for about 2 months now and have been guilty of riding with no gear, not even gloves, just a helmet. I'm thinking about picking this jacket up, my question is if I can throw a sweater on top of this
Thanks for sharing, im going to pick one up for the summer!
Cool, you'll enjoy riding more in the summer with this jacket for sure. I look forward to riding with it this summer.
CycleCruza
And it actually looks good(mean).Dress for the slide, not for the ride
Aren't there supposed to be shoulder straps with it (that screw into those holes)?
What CE Protection Level is this? Level 1? OR Level 2? It's good to know.
Dylan Begazo I've been looking and I can't find any proof these are CE rated. I really don't think they are.
That's all I can say on the subject.
just got it awsome thanks ready for the walton museum ride in schuyler,va (t.v.show the walton)
This jacket won't protect your skin just impact if you fall, but what do you recommend wearing over it?
The screw holes are for straps.
Here is the link to where you can get a kevlar shirt: amzn.to/1lSGktO
thanks!
I bought this jacket and it very very uncomfortable. I do not know if I want to return it or try bigger size. really confused
Nice review thx for the info
How adjustable is this jacket? The reason I ask is that I just measured my chest at 44", but I know my weight fluctuates a lot, depending on how active I am. I could see myself fluctuating between 42" and 46" and would like to pick one that may be a little large but that can be adjusted pretty tight if necessary.
You can adjust the arms and the kidney belt. Go exactly by the sizing chart. Never get it too big, I tried an an extra large and it was too big. You want the jacket tight to help keep the armor in place, also, you will wear it in and it will fit better the more you wear it. Best of luck!
CycleCruza
Great! Thanks for the information.
You could probably plasti dip or paint the armor plates in white....that look sick
never though of that....
Nice find. Do you have any recommendations of some good kevlar jeans?
None so far...
I know this vid is for the jacket but I wanna ask.....what pants are those? If their street pants I'd like to know brand and price but if their normal pants I'd still like to know :) they look cool
Normal pants over AGVSport Willow perforated leather pants. I only wear the camo pants over the perforated leather pants when it's cold/cool outside.
what if i buy something like the fox titan sport body armour . its almost the same but made for offroad . yes its more expensive but go check it out . please someone answer haha . this perrini doesnt ship to where i live
+Aoun Rizvi I would get the visibility one over the blacked out. and its just 20 more bucks...
I have a small in my Joe rocket mesh jacket and it's uncomfortable in the chest. Maybe a medium in this would work better?
Yeah a size up from your normal size is good.
CycleCruza, I,m a beginner and looking around for good gear. and click on every link you put out for your gear, only almost every link is sold out on amazone, btw, do you know if amazone also delivers in the Netherlands?
I don't have a measuring tape! I'm 5'9" 145
Should I get a medium or large ??
I am terrible at sizes if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
I am 6'1 at 150lbs so a large? CycleCruza is a bit larger than me and he said it was a bit tight so I am thinking it will fit me fairly well.
Great vid btw!
You want it tight to keep the armor in place, will be safer for you. You can get the XL and just pull the adjustment straps tighter to fit you. That way you will grow into it as well. Best of luck!
ive never liked the look of armoured jackets. Would i be able to wear a hoody over this? or do you think its too big around the arms for that.
where it under a hoodie and youll look badass... makes you look more muscular as well :)
CycleCruza mhh yeah. I dont like to hav ig motorcycle pants in the summer, but ill find a option that will suit me the most. Bought this amor jacket. Hopefully it will come tomorrow or the day after (;
Wear a backpack.
I thought you were changing out for all Hi-Viz gear. You change your mind on that?
As stated I wear Hi-Viz vest over this and if it's cold like now I wear a hi viz windbreaker over it which I will doing a video review on soon.
Hi, nice review, where did you get your pants from please ?
4:43, i wanna buy that pants tho, lol shit fits good yo!
Great review dude.
Wow bro good looks man !! It's only75 for the jacket can't beat that with a stick !!! No homo lol thanks cycle cruza !!!!
Thanks for the advice.
This was an awesome review video, good shit
Thank you for this review.
Hey Cycle Cruza, do you think this armor provides better protection then a full leather jacket with CE armor in the shoulders, elbows and back?
+FUMan661 Leather with CE armor is better but this jacket will do in the summer when it hot as hell outside but I've had viewers tell me this CE armor jacket held up in a crash.
Can you wear this under a jacket comfortably?
Like now you can add your Gopro on it
Another great video CycleCruza.
Cheers!
the link to this jacket is sold out. is there any other i can purchase this jacket?
Just wait a few days or a week and I'm sure it'll be restocked.
those camo pants, is that all you wear or do you also wear another pair of pants underneath?
raul moreno He wears armoured pants under them. He made a video on it too!
Good review - Thanks
thanks for the advice
hey CC do you find yourself wearing this body armor an a daily/weekly basis? or do you usually just go with your riding jacket
+FM M09 I only wear it on really hot summer days.
Does it keep you warm in winter?
I have 53" chest and 55" waist and finding even a hoodie is a struggle let alone bike gear.
Mounts not for go pro... for shoulder straps...what if u take a fall I wouldn't want that go pro attached to me when I did..just my opinion
I think the mounts are actually for a cape. Danananananana bikeman!
wanted to get one
Is there one by Alpine stars?
