He’s certainly extremely skilled for a child however I think you’re overestimating the difficulty of arabesque a bit. I am very impressed by the musicality of it though. Normally when you see children playing difficult pieces they’re more mechanical and stuff.
As an adult learner, who has been learning for more years than this charming child has been alive. I am dumbstruck how a piano teacher can cultivate this level of ability from an eight year old. Twice I have approached that piece and twice I have put it away until I 'get better'.
It’s arabesque no 1. It’s not that difficult. Some 8 year olds can play much harder pieces. If he played seriously since 6 years old at least then it’s likely he will play at this level 2 years later. Hardly talent
@@lightningbolt4419 I would agree that talent is a somewhat subjective term. If you were personally able to master the polyrhythms of Debussy's Arabesque to a similar standard, with just two years of piano lessons, then you are also a very talented person. However, if that is not the case, then you are simply making noise.
@@tomarmstrong1281 the polyrhythms are very easy in arabesque. I think you overestimate the difficulty of polyrhythms. Sight reading it is hard yeah but memorize it and it’s easy af
Even on this totally out of toned piano, you can understand and see how talented this little fellow truly is! The best of luck to him and his chosen career path! ❤
This is amazing.. He's so young and he's already developing a narrative in his playing. The eight notes vs. triplets polyrhtym is exceptionally difficult to master, and he's executing it with such fluency and clarity. Bravo to the young master 👏
@@lillystaton7998 rubato, the tempo can be altered but not the timing between the triplets and duplets they should still fit as it’s written. It’s called polyrhythm rubato should never affect rhythm and if you’re doing that it’s wrong

....by a child that has 20 times the level of a casual grown up pianist
I wouldn’t go that far
I'm offended
Whoa whoa bud…

@@riggedgame1189 idk what ur on about but considering arabesque is grade 8 its pretty impressive
A very musical interpretation, at such a young age no less. Very impressive.
Masterful playing portrayed thru the innocence of childhood is truly captivating.

DUDE!!!!!
I am 14 and i just finished learning Claire De Lune- but the fact that you can play ARABESQUE at 8 YEARS old???!!!!!!
That is AMAZING!!!!
That’s incredible. Very humbling though
learned it by heart, played with his whole heart and executed it perfectly. what a youngling!
1:04 girl in the back awestruck lol
What a talent, I’m learning this piece now, but the kid is a natural!
I like the "I just ate a warhead face on the really sour notes" but still sweet in the end
This is really underated. really like it!
So impressive!! Can’t help but feel a little jealous when I’m struggling through this piece now myself. Kids going places
Ethan is nailing it!
Lord... how proud I'd be if I had a son like this some day
I love this piece my favorite one to play
Underrated yes, prodigy maybe hmm
Awww 🥰 that is so amazing. The girl in the corner is even staring like “WHAT??!!” 🤯
He is IN it!! 😂😂❤
My favorite song
Mozart, it's you ?!
Don't waste your gift, you will have a bright future.
Y esa una pieza muy difícil de tocar felicitaciones al niño y sus padres.
Dude these children that make me feel like my piano skills are so trash istg-😭😭😭
This is why you PLAY music, you should enjoy playing, otherwise you are just making a sound... Bravo Mr. Ethan 💐👏
Awesome! 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
Little genius!!

That little girl in the backround eating is getting the performance of her life time and she doesnt even know i t. I ship it.

Somebody, give this boy a PIANO 🎹
I'm going to be that guy and say that this kid can't have got that good without a piano
The way he is squinting his eyes hearing the out of tune piano makes me think he has a perfect pitch. Does he? Beautiful playing though.
Wow
just Wow!!
smooth
incredibly difficult piece - this child is a prodigy genius. wow.
@Chris Machado incredibly difficult for an 8 year old.
@Chris Machado No. I think you're jealous of the 8 year old
@Chris Machado You're just saying that cause I caught you out. Jealous!!!
It isn't fair. I was only able to begin at 23. But ok, not fair, but ok
Incredible 😃
Bravo
😮❤😮
Well , if he can make that heap of junk sound beautiful , wonder what he'd sound like on a decent Steinway !
played beautifully
멋지다
uhhhhhhhh, how??
Baby Debussy
개지린다
Totally gifted by God.
No. It's hard work, even for a child. By saying someone is gifted when practicing 3 hours a day, is an insult.
@@MrGeati6783 Sounds like the opinion of an atheist.
God gave the gift, and the child made the most of it.

Impressive, he needs some metronome work to get the polyrhythm perfect but this is still great

Sounded good to me. I am sure Debussy would give it a thumbs up.
That piano is really out of tune lol
:0
how....? so people are indeed born with an innate talent
Sounds awful. He was playing so many wrong notes. He's young though so has potential.
