​@ShaneBTFarms, I'm just wondering, did you look at/price the kuhn combi baler?
Don't get me wrong the mchale is a great baler but there seems to be a few shifting onto kuhns now. What really impresses me is the way the kuhn wraps.

Actually no we didn’t price. Only had one baler in mind when changing. Mainly for dealer backup. There is a few lads switching but it’ll be interesting to see what resale value will be with a few seasons under them.

@ShaneBTFarms Dealer backup is key, really. Reliability of the kuhn baler will most likely determine the resale value. I'm looking for a secondhand baler wrapper and seen a fusion vario I'm keen on as it's mainly for haylage and straw.

We were sceptical at first when we bought the first fusion. Mainly for haylage but we ended up using it for straw too on some occasions and no issues at all. I’m not sure on the vario ones but I’d imagine they’d be much the same.

Are silage bales getting hard to shift at the moment ?

We are lucky we have returning customers for silage. We won’t have any spare. By looking at DoneDeal silage seems plentiful.
