I love the idea of writing down things like textures and small details that you are loving as a guide for when you are thrifting. I also feel like I can go off the rails in the thrift store , but if your list is too structured you don't really find anything either. An ideas list allows for fun and exploration but still providing some structure
I really enjoyed this! You’re so articulate and thoughtful. It’s inspired me to write down my own inspirations for the season and it’s so fun to crystallise out what you are actually drawn to. For me, it’s brown+blue, napped finishes (suede, moleskin, nubuck leather), “puffy” materials (mohair, cashmere, angora), and slim tops (turtleneck/polo neck) with wide bottoms that come out straight from the waist.
I love the intentionality of this video! I will have to ponder my own January style. So far I have been trying to figure out tradition toque alternatives and have thought about a knitted bonnet too! This past year I have been trying to dress seasonally as a way to be more creative and branch into colour. Over the fall, I wore a lot of greens and lichen yellow and this winter I've been wearing a lot of monochromatic blue outfits - wearing different shades of blue all together. Even though it seems small, I'm trying to incorporate more light blues because I find in the winter I wear more dark shades. This has been fun and I've been wearing my light wash jeans -- something I normally avoid in the winter time.
Loved this!! I’m currently DIYing a patch covered boat tote and a handmade keychain! The personalized accessories are speaking to me 🤓
i would love to hear more about how you chose your color story!
I've got a Substack already cookin', maybe I'll do a video here as well?!
Wow I love this vid! So much inspo in 18 mins. I'll now be crocheting myself a baby pink beanie brb 🙂
Thanks for watching!!!
