    I might have misspoke. I'm not 100% sure the two-handed talisman boosts ashes of war. But Shard of Alexander would. (maybe spear talisman for wing stance)
    Edit: for the record quality really shines at high levels (200+) where you can pump up STR/DEX to insane levels

      Two handed talisman does NOT boost ashes of war.

      @TheKetzor Місяць тому +2

      @@FruitsOfTheHearts Yes the talisman doesnt work on any ash of war. Ashes of war are not coded as "two handed attacks" they have their own seperate action that doesnt work with the talisman.

    now my quality weapon does 90 less damage at 45/45 than a fire or lightning one, instead of 100 less. W O W

      90 less damage or 90 less AR ?

      That's not really a fair comparison elemental infusion has to deal with to flat defense...so you know copeium

    • @archie143
      @archie143 Місяць тому

      @@lucarionuva9543do you actually know what that means tho or are you just repeating sometjing you heard. a quality longsword is not doing nearly as much at 45/45 as a fire longsword is at 45/45 for example. also you say elemental has to go through flat defence but on the other hand it gets quite a substantial backstab/riposte buff

      At absolute max level and with the use of drawstring grease it can inch out ahead of elemental infusions. But then we have to take into account that physical resistances tend to be higher than elemental, at least in PvP. Not exactly worth it.

    • @archie143
      @archie143 Місяць тому +1

      @@viktoriyaserebryakov2755 thats proving my point more: physical defence is higher, it gets less damage, doesnt do nearly as much backstab damage, doesnt get benefits from elemental buffs, requires way more stats allocated to get to even decent damage needs grease to deal more damage - and even then its only way above any level a sane person should be PvPing at.
      on the other hand: only needs to go through defence once, gets full benefit from counter damage, can be buffed (although most buffs will be outclassed by using infusion that grants that damage type)

    I disagree, Quality builds are better nowadays, however at Meta Level 150. For example, a Vagabond RL150 (Vig 60, End 30, Str 54 and Dex 50) with Quality Knight's Greatsword, would get 712 AR with this sword previously, and now it gets 729 AR (a increase of 17 AR, it's not much, but it's something).
    Additionally, there are new weapons that benefit better from Quality builds, such as Milady, Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana, Ansbach's Longbow, among others.
    But as I said, a Quality build is better at RL150 instead of lower RL100 as in your video.

    • @RMTACD
      @RMTACD  Місяць тому +2

      Yep totally possible! I was just checking on the status of the infusion at my preferred invasion range. I had a similar build in ds3 that I enjoyed a lot

  • @hoked2194
    @hoked2194 Місяць тому

    Quality has been noticeably better for me. I already had a cold quality build, but I really fell in love with Light Greatswords. Quality is definitely better at higher levels though, like 138 minimum imo.

  • @WeeabooPocky
    @WeeabooPocky Місяць тому +1

    well, yeah you need a lot of stat investmen to make it worth, and i will not deny that the quality infusion by itself is still a bit weak...
    however quality builds doesn't just have the access to more weapon classes, but also infusions, the best example is cold, depending on the weapon cold infusion should be the way to go, some weapons have good scaling in both Strenght and Dex (and int) while in cold infusions, such as zweihander or the lance. but still if it's not cold, you can still use bleed or poison.
    you also have access to fire and lightning infusions, sure, they will not perform as well like in their proper builds but still it's something to have in mind.
    and lastly, if you struggle with the stat investment, remember that there are items that increases your stats, the best examples are the divine beast head/helm (which increases str and dex by +3/+4), the grafted blade AoW (which increases +5 in every stat), and the dragonscale flesh (which increases vigor, stamina, strenght and dex by +8).

    • @RMTACD
      @RMTACD  Місяць тому

      This is all true, cold infusion is my go-to for a lot of scenarios because the physical scaling isn't terrible, and you get a status effect. This video was testing out the quality infusion buff at 40/40 roughly.

    I have a quality faith build currently and from what I've experienced so far quality is not only holding its own much more but it does beat out some other weapons of mine if I were more DEX or STR based along with this I also get access to other weapons such as newness spear of devonias hammer. Now to be fair I am at rl200 but I know I could make a really good build at 168 with this type of setup.

    ive been theory crafting a quality build with a little bit of faith to run the armament spells, lightning poison,black and bloodflame to spice up the swinging also if you have enough you can nab flame grant me str and golden vow, so 25 should give you access to all this

    ds3's quality is great to have for rkss, pkcs, gundyr swap, lothric knight ss, and use all weapons. but the main weapons is def pkcs, rkss with black knight shield, and gundyr swaps. PK is nasty tho. would rather go strenght with rkss bks with ledo and gundyr swaps

      @@KiIIerQueenboom Yeah i've found opposite in the arena. Invasions might prefer bleed but having 100-150 more raw AR is better 1v1 imo. Bleed was my goto setup but when i switched to more AR i could see the difference instantly. I still occasionally switch back to bleed but always end up back on the Higher AR build. For Example: I can kill with 4 attacks on quality but takes 5 attacks with bleed. If i felt like setting up with swarm of flies or other items for bleed chips then maybe it's better. I also hate how easily it is to roll a bleed proc.. Don't have to worry about that with more AR. There are a few weapons that get very close to the same AR w/ bleed vs Qual/Str/Dex infusion but for the most part I win more with more AR. Add the new greases and you're at 200-250 more AR than bleed.
