  • Mazda RX7s might not be as pricey as you think, especially at Japanese auctions. In today's video, we explore some of the more affordable RX-7s available. But is the lower price worth it, do you think it's a bargain or a burden?
    Enjoy! And give me some feedback on the video!

    It’s so cool that you can still get some of these cars for that price!

      There’s always risk with importing, but the Japanese Yen is so cheap right now! Thanks for watching.

    Thanks heaps for the upload! you went through with what you said last video :)
    Best channel I've stumbled upon in a while.
    From the looks of things though - it may just be worth it to wait for the right car locally at least here in Australia, if I take into account the time and effort I'll go through trying to comply+rego.
    Had the opportunity to get a 2002 RX-7 Bathurst R for $48k AUD a few weeks ago but upon test-drive it felt rattly, lots of exterior damage, and getting on boost felt odd so didn't go through with it.
    Looked perfect in the photos and walk-around video but actually driving it told a completely different tale. I can only imagine the surprises you'll get from auctions (good and bad).

      No worries, I love RX7s! Thanks heaps for the feedback.
      I think the hardest thing with getting an RX7 is making sure its condition matches how it drives, especially with a 25 year old rotary engine. So buying locally, could be a great option.
      The upside to importing from Japan is the Yen is the weakest it’s been in decades so it’s never been cheaper than to import right now with current exchange rates. Good luck with the RX7 hunt!

    besides the type r bathurst r, what are the average prices FD's sell for at auction?

    • @JDMArchives
      @JDMArchives  4 місяці тому

      It’s hard to come up with an average price, as every car is so different. But a good condition RX7 ball park figure would be around 30-35k USD still in Japan.

      @@JDMArchives how hard do you think it would be to find a decent condition example for say 15-20k?

      This is Car Auctions Japan, it doesn’t have all the auction sites like some others. Thanks for watching!
