Thanks Chris! I do my best to keep things as informative as possible. Believe it or not, there were a lot of tips that ended up on the cutting room floor. I think this video was 2 hours long after the first rough cut! haha
You are a pure genious. Have been watching multiple DIY wood stuff, and you are the only one using your brain, not only expensive tools for every little thing. The way you use protruding screws and hit the wood, to stamp the mounting holes - amazing. The way you use just ordinary paiting tape, to mark and transfer any mounting points - hoo lee fook. Eneryone else is just forcing you to buy their useless "tools", and you just do what you love.
Thanks! I've had a lot of Ikea desks in my day, and there's nothing wrong with them, but I really wanted to challenge myself on this one and do something different. I spend so much time at this desk, it's worth it to really set it up just the way I want. Cheers!
Hi Zac, I love your computer table, following the grain onto the sides (waterfall ends) is a nice feature. Stunning wood walnut and looks like a $5000 table. Thank for sharing
I live in a area near to the sea and the amount of sea breeze is just ridiculous. A desk PC hardly survive 6 months when you place it in an open area in the house. So I plan on making a desk similar to this one in a place where the I control the air flow and place some dehumidifiers in it in a year or so In Sha Allah. Thanks for sharing this project.
Thanks Janie! I'll do my best to keep putting out quality content, and hopefully the people will find me. Word of mouth helps to if you have any friends who might be into what I'm doing :)
I just built my own version (low budget ofc) few weeks ago and this video didn't showed up when I searched, smh. It would have helped me a lot! Awesome build btw
Man, that is a seriously beautiful desk!! I love the integration of the PC within the desk. I need to build a new desk as well and I thought about just building a small matching cart to set my tower on to save some room on the desktop and still let it have proper airflow. Speaking of, the vents on the front look great. I wonder if it would be beneficial to add a removable dust filter behind the vent. Great job, Zac. New sub!
Wow, sorry for my slow response!, don't know how I missed this. I really appreciate the kind words! I didn't include it in the video due to time constraints but there actually is a dust filter that sits between the front of the drawer and the front of the rad, so we are definitely on the same wave length there :)

This is an awesome build and exactly what I was looking for! My desk setup is aiming to be a bit more modular so I can move it around as needed so it won’t be as fancy; but the drawer idea is perfect for what I’m cooking up. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Martha! I definitely feel _more_ but it's still something I'm working on. I really appreciate your feedback, it's nice to know others can see the improvement I feel internally :)
I love the desk and looks beautiful but in my opinion, as someone who works on his computer every day, I would ditch the keyboard drawer and lower the desk a tad so it's at a good height for the keyboard to be on the top of the desk. I'm definitely going to do something similar when I remake my desk.
Ok. Randomly recommended video and I have my new favorite maker channel. Amazing job, stunning result and a great video! I'm sure this channel is going to blow up soon.
hey dude, love the desk. This is the first of your videos I have come across. The instruction is very clear, I definitely learned some tips and tricks here.
as system builder i have a few things on that build, one please dont ever drill holes with the mobo in place thats asking to short the board ... two you have like no air flow in that build ... you have a rad on the intake and exhaust, you should be running push pull on those to increase airflow while decreasing fan speeds cause it has to be choking that system you might have decent cooling but its going to burn out faster with the lack of airflow. other than that this desk is absolutely beautiful as a fellow carpenter i cant wait to build a custom desk case to show off my pc!

Should totally get a sprayer. You can get a decent enough compressor/sprayer combo for 100$. And it makes life infinitely easier. You'll spend half as much time sanding. Though keep in mind a gas mask is essential for spraying unless you have great ventilation, and even then it's recommended. Those fumes are no joke.
