Saw these on telly for the first time ever at Christmas. I'd heard of them but never seen them. They were terrific. Loved the guy singing this. Great performer.
The Jungel Book movie had some great songs in it. Me and my bro would play them over and over. Then we would crank up to 45rpm and then 78rpm. Kids nowadays don't know the fun they are missing.
I never really like Morecambe and Wise as a kid, although I watched them because my parents liked them, but I never found them funny. Then when I got older I started to watch stuff I liked and it was then that I realised what a load of shite these guys were. I'd rather go to the dentist for root canal work without an anaesthetic than watch a minute of two men that were as funny as watching a fire in an orphanage. Thank God for things like The Fast Show and Harry Enfield and Naked Video, to name just a few. They made me LAUGH. M&W were for the blue rinse brigade and an odd Royal Variety Performance. In other words....rubbish to the last. I like Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen though, especially when they sang this!
Thank you for this (spot-on) comment. I just dropped by to see Andy, Kenny and the boys monkeying around, not expecting _ root canal work_ and _fire in an orphanage_ being used in the same sentence. Courtesy of M&W. Greetings from a Harry Enfield fan!

Is andy cooper still alive?
So far. Aged 81, and to the best of my knowledge still playing. As is Paddy Lightfoot.
Never heard those lyrics before. Did the Sherman Bros write them?
