@@csr9713 that's not my problem tho. She often doesnt climb the ledges at all so I have to swim 50 meters to find a flat surface she can jump on.

@@rushernate2601 I have a solution for that.... When you reach the side where you want to jump on.... Instead of sprinting and moving while spamming the jump button.... Just dont move and sprint... Only press the X button
Well it looks like traversal is sort of fixed in Forbidden West. You don't have that weird high jump that looks like you're being pulled down with a sudden burst of gravity when you try to jump from one ledge to another that is super close. 🤷🏾♂️

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the rare games that the actual game looked better than the trailer itself! Massive respect for Guerrilla Games!

Fog does require more compute power and graphics power, that part is true, but fog is also instrumental in hiding the machine's inability to stream assets quickly enough. It was dynamic in HZD, but they also just blanketed the world in fog generally because otherwise you'd see tons of pop-in.
Hopefully now that they have the SSD at their disposal, they can use the fog more creatively and not have to lean on it. Based on what we've seen here, it seems like they've achieved that.
Yep. But I dare say, as awesome as the trailers are for HZD, they didn't reveal much of the game or "truly captured" what the game is all about if I'm making sense. A better-ish comparison would be DooM Eternal's trailers VS actual game, since Id Software has almost revealed the entire game thru trailers long before the game came out, lol.

JL R well yes because it was a 5 year old console it was going to run on when it came out. But now with ps5 and the quickest SSD in computer history there might be no need for the fog 😂. I’m really excited about this game

It's been exactly two years.
And you know what? Recognizing all those locations from this trailer, knowing they are in the game, makes me feel very proud. Because they nailed it.

Ayumu and Shioriko both also Platinumed both Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. Yoshiko only managed to get Platinum Trophy in Forbidden West.

Do ya'll wanna know why it's called "Forbidden West"? Cause during the reign of one of the Sun Kings, they raided the West and that King and his company dissapeared once they broke through. The Kings brother blocked the West off and called it "Forbidden".

One of the reasons I like this game is that machines are really well designed, even in their movements, and some of them are inspired to dinosaurs. It's just amazing

Awh you reminded me of the only thing I hated about that game, the ugly outfits. I get that they're part of the World and are 1,000 years in the future, but they are still ugly though. I hope the "Forbidden West" part of this universe has a better taste of fashion.

You Watanabe and Ruby Kurosawa both still have copies from Forbidden West on their PS5 game catalogue. They loved that game, especially the star character, Aloy.
The only game that allows you to kill giant terminator crocodiles with bows and arrows. 10/10 no doubt

@@themightydash1714 No, buying on credit is smarter because your purchases are protected more and can easily be disputed if there is a problem unlike your debit card AND you're building credit along with getting cash back.
I always make sure to have the money to buy the things I want or at least half of the price and then I'll just charge it on my card and pay it off at the end of the month or two if I owe anything. Credit cards can be your best friend or worse enemy.

I agree. I’m of two minds. I personally hope for more aquatic machines, but I regard the prospect of underwater swimming in waters patrolled by Snapmaws and whatever other aquatic machines with some trepidation.

Playing this on my Ps4 made it seem as if I had a next gen console. It looks insane. I love Playstation and what many gamers out there fail to realize is that Playstation is simple on a league of their own. Imagine they are still supporting last gen players
I played this on PS4 and thought it looked top-notch. A few weeks ago I finally bought a PS5, and the difference is incredible. This game is beyond amazing on the 5.

Yea I had the original pong console from the 70s (I was born in 77). I still have six 80s full size commercial arcade games at home including Asteroids Deluxe, Missile Command, and Centipede. I also had most of the 80s PCs like the Tandy TRS-80, C64, Apple IIc, Amiga 500, etc.... I've played video games since the beginning...amazing how far we've come.
