Tarja has chosen this moment in her life to release her first-ever “Best Of: Living The Dream”. Looking back on 15 extremely successful years of the Finnish singer’s solo career, the Best Of contains not only Tarja’s most well-known tracks, many of them newly remastered at “Sterling Sound”, and personal favorites from all six studio albums - ‘My Winter Storm’, ‘What Lies Beneath’, ‘Colours in the Dark’, ‘The Brightest Void’, ‘The Shadow Self’ and ‘In the Raw’ - but also the never-before-heard song “Eye Of The Storm”.
“After all these years, I still really can't believe it's time for me to release a proper Best Of album,” Tarja says. “So many beautiful moments, unbelievable. It has been a dream to put together this collection. And I really hope that you will enjoy this as much as I did while making it.”
The compilation hand-picked by Tarja herself, will be released on December 2nd, 2022 on earMUSIC in a wide variety of formats. Each featuring exclusive rarities and/or the previously unreleased 2 hour “Circus Life” concert, eagerly awaited by fans, as well as upgraded versions of Tarja’s music videos. Rounded out by high-quality artwork, deluxe liner notes and many formats to choose from, this collection is a delight for casual fans as well as superfans.

It is a crime that this show is not available in audio.
Some details about location: "Globus" Circus Arena, Bucharest, Romania (a space built especially for circus shows), January 2020, just before the "plandemic" shut down the world. Background vocals were provided by, among others: Clémentine Delauney (Visions of Atlantis, Exit Eden, Serenity) and Timo Turunen (Tarja's brother). I WAS THERE! Was a fantastic concert.

Captivating performance and arrangement with the additional piano and strings. Great setting and stage show. Innocence stands near the top of an exceptional list of Tarja songs. And then there is Tarja her self. It's impossible not to get emotional watching this. Overwhelmingly brilliant.

Magnificent DVD 💗 Tarja is a vocal beast - her voice shines in the new beautiful arrangements! Falling Awake and The Shadow Play were the highlights to me. 16 super talented musicians on stage creating magic together. What a bombastic and emotional experience! I love this DVD! It was so wild when Tarja went into the audience at the end of Never Enough and even allowed a girl and a boy to kiss her on the cheek!

@@LigeiaNoire I feel blessed to have been to 10 Tarja concerts so far! Rock, classical and Christmas ones. I became a fan in August 2005. I saw Tarja sing Rusalka in Miskolc 2010 and Plovdiv 2011. It was sublime 💗

The true jewel about this performance is Mr. Christian Kretchmar along with the Chelo/Violin guys. Eargasm.
I remember 2016 when this song came out, Tarja would fearlessly sing the chorus like her life depended on it and I LOVED IT. Now she takes breath in between the chorus and makes little pauses, so the magic for this song to me is long, long gone.
You cannot give us your best and then stop doing it, fall comfortable and expect the same reaction. But well, is my personal opinion.

Yeah, this one feels a little bit more ad libitum than how she used to perform it. This instrumental is beautiful, and I do agree with you in that I would have preferred the original vocals without so much syncopation. But oh well, it's good nonetheless.

Esse concerto deve ser todo incrível! Estou muito curioso par ver e escutar as restantes músicas, foi uma excelente ideia colocar todos os instrumentos adicionais ao vivo e trazer vocalistas convidadas em vez dos vocais pré-gravados... obviamente que não seria praticável fazer isso em todos os concertos da tour, mas este é de facto um concerto especial! É a celebração de uma carreira a solo cheia de sucesso!
Entretanto, acrescento que sou um grande fã da Joan Sutherland também! Ela e a Maria Callas são as minhas sopranos de ópera favoritas!

Vocals are surprisingly clean and unmistakable. I've gotten used to Tarja's singing being a bit sloppy lately. But in this performance she sang very well. I remembered her golden time in Nightwish, when Tarja tried very hard and sang perfectly.
That is true. She is comfortable now. Doesnt deliver her best anymore.
Her "sloppy" singing, is 10 times better than most shit on the radio these days.
@@nathankinman7753 I love Tarja and her voice very much. But in her solo career she is more free and does what she wants and how she wants, but her vocals are no longer flawless. It makes me a little sad. Exception is her Christmas and classical concerts, then I see old Tarja, with a perfect vocal that nobody else can match.
