I cried to hear so much beauty, poetry, melody, worthy of echoing in eternity. We all have our preferences. I respect this. But I can't help saying that this song can only be sung by Tarja Turunen and no one else. The truth is that Nightwish's music with Tarja was something out of the ordinary; it was extraordinarily magical. Today this band lacks something. And we know what it is. Congratulations to Tarja and Terrana for making me cry again. A masterpiece. No more comments.
I think you've said it best. I said too that Nightwish has lost its magic.. the magic was Tarja. They are both different singers so can't really compare them directly I guess
@@Muscarial Yeah I won't deny that. Although some classical singers sound better with age, as much as I adore Tarja she sounded better in her earlier days. From Wishes to Eternity was her prime.

She is definately a better singer than 2000. This is more operatic performance, she goes more round mouth. Love both performances, they are somewhat different, so, hard to say which is better.

@@larryzigler6812 Nah. I never truly believed Tuomas hated Tarja. It was always about his ego being bruised. They had impossible tour schedules, and Tarja got burned out. He didn't like that, because he wanted to perform again and again, not seeing that she needed rest. That was the core of the problems between them. And of course her husband butted into it, because he was the one living with her, so naturally he tried to fix it. And I am fairly certain Tarja never hated Tuomas either. Not happy about being fired (even though she had said publicly that she wanted a solo career a year prior), but I think it went over fast. Today, they would do fans a good one by reuniting for a reunion show somewhere. That would have been fun, but I am sure Tuomas' ego is still too bruised for it.
Tarja is magical when she sings You know it occurred to me she'd be a good fit on the Last Night Of The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall London. She's always sang like an Angel, definitely Queen of Nightwish!

Just like Nightwish plays covers when they tour, Tarja can do the same. But if this was to be put on an official record, like Nightwish did with Over the Hills and Far Away, then it would be different.

A bit more pompous instrumentals than in the 2000 "From Wishes to Eternity" concert, and that old performance still feels nostalgic to me. Yeah she was better singer 2013 than in 2000. And hearing the 2019 Christmas church concert tour, she has improved still, her operatic vocals were divine... never heard so amazing singing, looking forward great performances to come! Yeah I have The Beauty & the Beat blu-ray.

She is just such a great, classical (!) Finnish singer! Regardless of her initial "HM start-up" with Nightwish... always marvelous! I myself do have Estonian roots (which is very close to Finnish tribes), and I am so happy & grateful anytime I can listen to her stuff!
I'm kind of divided with that. I love when Tarja goes operatic vocals, that's when she is in her best game. But still... that old 2000 Tampere concert, "Ftom Wishes to Eternity," even if it is less operatic than this one, I kind of gravitate towards to that. It felt warmer. I felt the emotion more in that performance. Maybe it was the smaller stage, early career, less pompous instruments, the atmosphere of the gig... it just felt warmer, more from the heart.

I'm outside my home, so I'm watching this video upload of this song from that BluRay Besides, there were several "unofficial" or unauthorised uploads of songs from this concert by some people. I think Nightwish-Tarja and Tarja solo has the most "unofficial" and unauthorised/illegal uploads of videos by fans of all Nightwish and singers of Nightwish.

But personally i'll prefer the version from Beauty and the Beat. But i just watch it on UA-cam. No need to find an old blu-ray or dvd player.

Because some Tarja fans may already have the BluRay/DVD of "Beauty and the Beat". I'm outside my home, so I'm watching this video upload of this song from that BluRay Besides, there were several "unofficial" or unauthorised uploads of songs from this concert by some people. I think Nightwish-Tarja and Tarja solo has the most "unofficial" and unauthorised/illegal uploads of videos by fans of all Nightwish and singers of Nightwish.
@@nafisahmohamed4371 that show is probably Tarja's best work. But a classical version it's a little less mainstream. So i actually advise a much older show from her early Nightwish days. But personally i'll prefer the version from Beauty and the Beat. But i just watch it on UA-cam. No need to find an old blu-ray or dvd player.

Glad I got that DVD in January last year. Been her fan ever since, and the only singer I listened most to the most nowadays, in the European symphonic metal genre - whether in Nightwish or her solo work.
Today 46K views. Masses have not found the video, people go to video with most views because it comes first. If someone requests this song, reaction channels will play the From Wishes to Eternity 2000 concert performance. That performance has a remastered version which is HUGELY improved from the original, but people haven't found that either. This video has been on unofficial channels many years before than it finally came here. Should have been posted here already when they printed Beauty and the Beat Blu-ray.
@@Aurinkohirvi to be fair the version from the Whishes to Eternity tour is most definitely a masterpiece. To bad so little people actually see it. For some reason the music from the early days of Nightwish is actually pretty much lost to the masses. It's just that it's posted by a channel with not that much followers yet. It's growing as it should, but it's a slow process.
