- A tier list of the second and third evolutions of the basic/normal/starter cats in The Battle Cats. All music here is soundtracks from The Battle Cats. This is all just my opinion on my rankings and they are all based on my personal experience when playing the game.

I never really thought of whale as a tank. Always an attacker. I guess his bulky frame is tank like.
He is suposed to tank normal red enemies like in shown in the video , dont expect to tank a freakin red bun bun or red cyclone

Well he is ranking them based on that part of the game and you need to take that into consideration too otherwise it would be a false list. Also some cats dont get fully outclassed by crazed varients which would put them higher up

Also coming back for another point the only way you MIGHT get them in CotC is if you are speed running but by then you would know how good each cat is
I dont think crazed forms should be counted in the outclassing part, obv all crazed forms outclass all trues, its basically a 4th Evolution

Dragon cats second form isn’t so much different from it’s third form. So I don’t see why he’s only B Tier.
I also don’t see how jammy can be above Macho Legs and King Dragon. Rarely do people use jammy in the first place no matter where you are in the game. And even so, there’s Manic Jammy there to outclass normal one. If it’s anything he should be amongst one of the lowest.
Jameira is a pretty good all rounder throughout the game, and preforms really well along with other attackers like him.
True, Jammy is pretty outclassed by many cats.

Okay, I'm going to be completely honest in what I think. You should've got all the crazed cats before CotC. Therefore I feel it's unfair that you class the 3rd form with Manic and not the 2nd form as well. Also I don't think you should put the crazed cat against the normal cat cause almost everyone knows if you have played the game for some time that the crazed cats are obviously better than the normal cats. Another thing that somewhat bothers me is that I feel like (Not King) Dragon cat should be A tier. Dragon Cat is such a good cat early on since it can clear a lot of stages by itself if stacked and protected by meatshields. Anyways I am in ITF 2 but that's how I felt when watching this video.

itf 3 and i see it in a bit more depth. Dragon falls off later because its 1500 and hard to stack. however, macho legs has a similar range, decent damage, and the same stackable flare. I think that king dragon should be a tier and macho legs to be s tier. when i was asking the ultra late game people for if i should have cyborg in my loadout, they said that macho legs was a better stackable unit, meaning that my, and many other similar loadouts, didn't need to replace an uber with a high damage single target because we decided to fit in cyborg, instead leaving that last slot to another cat who does a similar damage, costs much less, and has more range. Macho legs is kind of just a better version of king dragon. but otherwise, come on you can't call cats bad because their crazed counterpart is better, that's literally every cat with crazed in the game, and a little unfair to said cats. you might as well say that the uber bora is c tier because bazibon, boras evolved form, has defense agaisnt aliens.
@@herecomes3608 I think the main reason why they advise macho over paris is because macho can be used in a larger variety of stages while paris is just a massive cash drain and not usable in every stage.
Well in some cases yes it does make sense to devalue a unit if it has a better counterpart. This is most apparent with spam able midrange attackers where you generally can only use one or the other. For example you aren't going to use slap stick + cyborg or cyborg + cam, it drains too much cash. This frame work applies to lion cats as well. M lion is just better due to having aoe and faster speed. You generally don't need to use two weak spam able rushers in a load out so it makes sense to put lion on a lower tier.
Same for flying. Out side of the fact he sucks due to poor stats, very few good combos, and bad ability, he is a massive cash drain that can easily be replaced by better units like cam or cyborg. Due to how aforementioned cost, using both a midranger and flying is redundant.
Although I do think king dragon's placement is unfair because he can be used in conjunction with say manic king dragon and not drain that much cash. His range is pretty high too so he can be used where range is needed along with mkd. I think an appropriate placement should be like B.
I think macho cats placement is pretty fair because by late game you have slap and seafarer who have good aoe dps and out class macho cat in most areas.

I have to disagree with Jameira < M. Jameira.
While M. Jameira has waves, regular Jameira has a higher attack speed meaning he will dish out more DPS, and due to the knockback ability he’ll help in tanker levels that require more quick assaults like in Happily Ever After (the surge dogebase). While M. Jameira has higher stats, the difference is minuscule.

also with eraser and macho legs because eraser being slower can build a stronger defence while macho legs has strong vs aliens and faster refresh rate. they are more of tradeoffs than direct upgrades
M. Jamiera has faster speed and higher hp than jamiera
make him his meatshield or tanker role is better than jamiera.
But Jamiera doesn't get outclassed by that, wow

0:16 that being said they don’t become different through middle and late game as they still have the role they possess in eoc all the way to late game generally depending on there level. Yes some of them like lion and brave probably won’t be used despite this.

Why would they be higher? Mohawk is a meat shield which is very useful in every level whereas macho and dragon are situational.

F-tier (HELL YEAH)
D-tier (for ufo i totally agree but for the other two their true forms gain insanely noticeable and works well for their uses between decent range stacker and melee attacking, not tanking reds)
C-tier (I do agree since his slow movement speed and high cost makes it hard to balance out your wallet he does have high dps and health, this one's difficult, I'd probably put him in B or B- if there was one)
B-tier (I do kind of agree with dragon as his single attack limits him heavily, but he should be in A for overpowered stackable dps, giraffe I believe deserves the C-tier rank as he's easily replacable by many other rushers such as crazed giraffe, maglev, housewife, swimmer cat, and valkyrie, but good rusher for early game overall so yeah.
A-tier (around A or B makes great sense as he's a cheap, spammable, and consistent meatshield that works very well paired up with eraser, I totally agree).
S-tier (DEFINITELY AGREE, he is the second best meatshield, receiving the silver metal to crazed wall, high tanky health, spammable, despite low damage that obviously doesn't matter in meatshielding, and is very cost efficient to).
But still, some flaws but this is the first normal cat tier list so very excellent job dude.

haven’t played and heard and just got back into it! this tier list was very helpful despite how outdated it is
Just remember one thing while using eraser cat.
If he can get one shot by a boss enemy, remove him from the loadout for a better meatshield or cat since you would be spending 150 pounds on a unit who can get one shot, while you could replace it by another unit that is cheaper than it. I personally think that kyubey cat is one of the best meatshields

The basic cats carried me all the way until EoC chapter 3 moon. Felt kinda sad that I couldn’t have them all past that point.
Also, I always though of Whale Cat as an attacker and not a tank. Cat and Tall Cat are for that purpose.

Dragon is too low and island has good generalist stats, although manic outclasses him due to price.

Being strong doesn’t necessarily make a cat good, as you can’t win any level without a meatshield
@@inaki5989 what about stages with wave enemies? Meatshields can make you lose by making them attack and hit them there by creating shockwave and might lose

The point is that by the time you get the third Evolution of the basic cats, you already have their crazed versions. Unless you play real slow then these cats just wreck your current enemies.

Do a legend cat unit tier list (not the legend rares that you have a very small chance to get)
Personally, I think UFO Cat is F tier usually, except when in really early game on stages like Sahara where you need to clear a bunch of peons with area attacks. The Flying Cat is F tier. Even though it weakens angels and has a longer cooldown now, it's range and health are still too low, and angel enemies are too fast and will often kill The Flying Cat before it can get it's attack out through it's long foreswing.
Now we need a crazed/manic tier list and a lil cat tier list
There are actually good cat combis for brave, ninja in TF gets outclassed by Dark and Ninja is basically a combo slave as he only shines in EoC
dark is a combo slave and unusable for anything else

I think mohawk should be in a tier because there are stages where erasers get one shot by a boss and drain money when mohawk can replace them.

Just a little side note, normal eraser is sometime better than manic eraser when fight short standing range LD enemy like dolphina or mole... Also I think true form dragon should be B tier, like where it was evolved form
Long Quach no, i may be missing the point but manic eraser might be better against dolphina and the mole since manic Eraser is faster and can dodge those attacks unlike normal eraser who is slow and might just die from those attacks. If normal eraser is strong enough it can probably tank a few hits from their attacks but either way normal eraser might just get killed by the upcoming peons because of the previous attacks

Light Bulb also just to note that slower meatsheilds generally can be used to not trigger LD enemies early like in no return flights and might make enemies miss like how you would generally use slow meatshields in boiling spring
To me, ninja was a normal. I bought it instantly and literally spammed it all the way, also a good meatshield in the later game.

Lion stacks really well and the damage is pretty good

Ramen is actually pretty bad outside of angel business. Yes, he has great general health, but he has high cost and research, considering that he is a meatshield. He also has good dps, but that isn't good for stalling for money, and it usually doesn't matter anyways. Plus, he has really slow speed, as well

@@Z---zi9wjramen without research combos costs fucking LESS than dual eraser because of cooldown. and some of those "issues" are either downright false (ramen is definitely usable outside angel) or helpful in some cases (you don't only use meatshields to stall for cash and sometimes slow is better for meatshields). he's not 2nd best meatshield for sure but he's a lot better than you think

the only legitimate use for brave cat is as an extra meatshield if you have no other options and NEED a fourth meatshield for a stage

Dark is useful in stages in cats of the cosmos because of the restriction 300 or more and I don’t wast cat food on special cats unless there are ninja or boogie

Tbh i like Bird Cat, it’s just have a bad range a littleeeeee bit expensive, but it has a cool amount of health, dâmge, area and fast regenerate
