I know right for a while I never leveled up hip hop cat cause it didn’t look good then I googled why everyone used him and I have since changed as a person
I still have a contender in Slime. While he cannot be used ony every stage, he is the embodyment of high risk reward. And that reward is just the better. Also I love the fact that you used Stone in basically any stage here, yet he does his job so well that he completely flies under the radar. Literally hiding in plain sight
Slime is great but range is too low and no immunities. It just gets nuked by waves and often dies before it can attack and is prone to missing which spells death
It’s funny that one of the best units in terms of how useful they are in multiple stages is a rock that dies after hitting an enemy/base and a slime that gets one shotted by a slight breeze.
I think it would be better to say rocc is the most versatile unit, rather than best, as 'best' can be quite a vague word. Edit: The video answers this problem near the end

I'm putting up a (admittedly late) vote for manic eraser, and it's manic eraser by quite a lot. My methodology for coming to this choice was to consider how much harder it is to play without a certain unit, and when I can't use him for one reason or another, there's no cat I miss more. I don't consider competition as much of a criteria as some, but I should also point out that every other meatshield in the game (unless there's some hard to get unit I didn't think of that requires a ton of investment) has a pretty significant drawback compared to manic eraser, be it cost, cooldown, health, or speed.
Personally, I think the only flaw about boulder is that if he hits a rebound enemy, it’s a gamble of being able to solo it, or triggering it to rush towards your base. This is because of the self destruct ability, basically making him say ‘hey man, I just triggered your rebound.’ And then using suicide to get out of its way. This also goes the other way around, if boulder hits a rebound unit, making it rush towards him, his self destruct animation may not be complete, making the rebound unit hit him. In summary, boulder would do damage to said rebound unit itch out allowing it to rush towards your frontline, vulnerable mid rangers or back liners, or your base if you’re using him to solo. I also think that if you don’t like boulder, you can just use green turtle shell. I think green shell is just boulder but better. Btw, I’m 10 and I wrote this myself.
When you play 4 star SoL/UL, you start to notice how much not having cancan affects how you play the game. Meanwhile boulder cat while busted is expensive and requires research combos to be gamechanging.
More units like brainwashed leg and courier🗿🗿 (tbh they probably fired the guy who made brainwashed leg as we haven’t gotten a op super or rare in forever/limited cats)

My fav unit is izinagi. He was my first legend rare and funily enough my first uberfest unit and his ability to obliterate backliners while using peons as stepping stone has absolutely carried me

Basic cat is literally the best cat. It is the most vital cat to the game, I literally could not play the game if I did not use them (especially in EoC1 Korea)
