Set challenges: NUZLOCKE, RANDOMIZER, BRAVERY, IRONMAN.
Hard mode and set in the settings of course.
ADDITIONAL RULE: you can only do ONE SHOPPING SESSION for each visited town

Just to tell you:
I've made dozens of attempts to this already and especially in version 1.2.7 where items are completely randomized, I put the extra rule of shopping limitations because it could happen that you get 5 relic statues from the pokemart clerk in Telnor Town instead of the usual 5 pokeballs. And Relic Statues sell at 200k pokeyens each at the mart, which could result in kinda being gamebreakingly easy.
This said, aDrive: my personal record in this kind of run is being beaten by a sky cultist in Helios City, so before even being able to get my 3rd badge.
And watch out encountering dragon types in early game

Trying to beat Pokémon sword and shield with a wishiwashi that doesn’t have schooling ability it’s annoying and took me like 304 in game hours

@Bob Bob this is something I did with Rock Type moves on X/Y, so imma suggest this for you. Beat ORAS, but only using steel type moves, _only_ on Pokémon that aren’t steel type.

The thing is. I can only actess the moss rock and the ice rock later in the game and I had no elemental stones at that time so I only have a Normal-type Eevee. And it was not easy for the Fighting-type gym. My first evo is Vaporeaon for Surf and I struggled to find the Eevees on route 10. THE ONLY route to find Eevee. So that's why I said it's hard. But when I get the moss rock and ice rock, it got a hit easier but there is SO MUCH GRINDING, plus I hve to worry about the Megas, the rivals, the elite 4, and the chapion who has a mega that almost sweaped my whole team!

Challenge: beat Heart Gold or Soul Silver using only baby 👶🏻 mons. (Starters are mime, bonsly and cleffa) hold only everstones so we don’t see the evo animation constantly. No other rules.
everstones is such a hindrance, not being able to use held items (esp ones that boost evs) would screw you over, especially w typically very weak mons.

If I recall correctly, you can’t get Dragon Types until after the first trial (feel free to prove me wrong)
So, you can transfer ONE egg with a baby dragon type (choose wisely!) (No mythical/legendary Pokémon obviously)
Then your average TypeLocke rules

Do a Badge Quest, but only using bug type Pokémon. Also if you don’t know what a badge quest is, before every gym you have to catch a shiny, for him, a bug type shiny.

A challenge I've been doing lately is the professor oak challenge. Essentially you have to catch and evolve all available pokemon before each gym badge/trial in a single copy of a game, so no trade evolutions, or using glitches
guys get him to do a challenge in where he uses his rivals pokemon but it has to be shiny. (in any game)
I once came up with a challenge for Sword and Sheild called the Piers Challenge. You have to beat the base game while only using Dark Type Pokemon and never dynamaxing your pokemon. Since dynamaxing isnt required at any point in the game, it seems possible. I have yet to try this challenge for myself, but it definitely seems possible.
aDrive's hardest challenge is a shinylock were he has to release all fainted pokémon.
That is something all hardcore Pokemon players do.
The ‘craziest’ game challenge I’ve done is a 4-way soullocke with three of my friends 🙃

Avatar Mode, you can only catch a certain type of Pokemon depending on what tribe u pick. Water tribe is Water, Ice, Poison, and Grass; Earth tribe is Ground, Rock, Fighting, and Steel; Fire tribe is Fire, Dragon, Dark, and Electric; Air tribe is Flying, Fairy, Ghost, and Psychic. All the tribes can catch Normal types, unless they're dual type then they go with their specific tribe the second type matches up with. All Bug types are game
I did one 3 years ago on diamond I call insanity nuzlocke first rule only one Pokémon in ur team second rule no Pokémon center healing only normal potions third rule no evolving fourth rule if you lose a battle you reset the entire game last rule use only shinys if you beat this ur a mad lad

Still going at the run and I have made it to Cynthia so far, Pokemon Platinum with only a surskit. It's pain
Edit: I replaced chimchar so my rival had empoleon torwards the end
This is because infernape would die to my water moves and Torterra would die to ice. I like to make things as hard on myself as possible as you can tell, in short, I had nothing good for empoleon and had to rely on water pulse.
Also no items used in battle, that means no X items or healing items to boost pokemon, held items are allowed tho

Most of my time was spent playing the first three gens, though apparently I'm just old or something. Also, isn't this kinda similar to a Shedinja run? Just with the benefit of having more legitimately useful pokemon on your team?

My most difficult challenge was trying to beat Pokemon Y with only a Caterpie and a Weedle, not being allowed to use items in battle. I lost in the Champion Battle.

Meh, the only "crazy" challenge playthrough I've ever done is a regular dark type only playthrough of Ultramoon, which I'm still in the middle of now.
I did a dark only run of Soulsilver. I gave myself a murkrow to start. It's 4 gyms before you can get Umbreon. And a long time before you can get tyranitar houndour or sneasel. But if you do the bug catching contest enough you can get a dusk stone to evolve murkrow. It was a rough challenge
I did a Ghost only run of Moon. Was pretty funsies, honestly. Good ghost types in those games.
The cheap challenge: can't buy items and can only use gift pokemon
Its all about luck, speed and one shotting everything.

that's very cool ! A french UA-camr just finished his no damage challenge on Platinum this week too. So bad that's only in french because it's way better to see that he completed this challenge without any pokémon at lv100 at the end and no giratina too ! His more powerfull pokémon is level 76 !

My craziest challenge was a sololocke with Magneton with no thunderbolt, no evolving into Magnezone, and only using three move slots. I lost to Lucian. RIP Zero the Magneton

In your next Nuzlocke, use a wheel with all 18 typings. Spin the wheel 3 times prior to choosing your starter, and once after every gym battle. What ever type the wheel lands on, you lose the ability to use Pokemon with that typing. Applies to both Primary and Secondary typings. If the wheel lands on a type that was already lost, you gain that typing back. Worse case scenario, you lose 11 out of 18 types going into the Elite 4. Call it a Typeless Locke.
I’m still playing through my first diamond run and got a shiny aipom, first encounter, and all I wanted was a regular one with pick up😹
I remember when I was twelve, my mom bought me pearl (they didn't have diamond at gamestop for some reason) but I was so excited I tore into the game as soon as we got i to the car and finished the main story in 15 hours.

How about a LeaderLocke, in any Pokémon game of your choice (barring Gen 7)?
Basically, you can only use the ace Pokémon of the 8 Gym Leaders of your chosen game, replacing your starter with the first form of the leader's ace. Then, you have to catch all the other ace Pokémon yourself. The big thing about LeaderLocke, though, is that none of your Pokémon can be higher leveled than the leader's ace when you enter their gym, so you're always doing the first Gym at a disadvantage.
So, for instance, if you did a HGSS LeaderLocke, your starter is a Pidgey, you can find Gastly at night to evolve into Morty's Gengar, do the bug-catching contest to get a Scyther, find an Onix somewhere to get Jasmine's Steelix, a Poliwag for Chuck's Poliwrath, etc. Of course, this does have Nuzlocke clause; name everything, and whatever faints dies, but the first encounter rule is disabled . . . but each Pokémon only once. Otherwise, Emerald LeaderLockes could be done with Kingdra Squad.

Starter challenge: You must beat the game only using your starter Pokémon. ( Optional settings for harder difficulty ) You can only use a towns pokemon center once. Example : If you were playing sword and shield and use the Pokémon center in wyndon, you can’t use it again.

The coolest part is I learn so many new things, but I also watch your videos with my children (who are really into Pokemon) and they learn so much as well.
