The ads are so fun in the 1960’s magazines. And the coifed hair! Haha I wish mine would do that without a million pounds of product, I’m sure theirs had that too!

I keep seeing videos of people saying their Summer is almost over...and I'm thinking...we still have 3 months of it....uhhhhhh! I guess the trade off is our Winters. LOL P.S. I'll be born in 5 years! That's very sophisticated for a 13-19 year old audience! Haha! You're right that the Jackie Kennedy look was all over the place in 1962! I got a whole bunch of my mom's old McCall's Needlework and Crafts Magazines from the early 60s to mid 70s she never parted with! The ads are wonderful and some of the ones in the back that you got to were similar! I even recognized the one with the hair dryer bonnet! Also those "learn how to play guitar in 7 days" ones that appeared forever with the girl that has a Marlo Thomas flip!

You read my mind...LOL I thought the same thing when flipping through this magazine. Those craft magazines are gems! The ads really tell alot about what people liked back then....I'm sure people in 1962 would gasp if they saw our ads today...LOL Thank you for watching and leaving an awesome comment!

@@JimmyandTammyas a matter of fact, right after watching this video it made me long for the only one in her McCall's magazines I didn't get! I had gone down for a visit in 2012 and pulled it out of these tightly packed detergent boxes my dad had turned into magazine holders for her. Before I left I was going to go try and put it back, but for some reason the issue went missing! I got all of the others but that one and my sister claimed she never found it! So guess what?! eBay to the rescue! It's on its way to me now! Fall/Winter 1963/1964!

I loved some of the shoes too, but they were too narrow for my wide feet. Did the magazine smell old or musty? That’s what I don’t like about buying old books and magazines, if they had been stored in a damp basement.
