Very good movie. Nice and sympathetic presenter and romantic music. Abusir is an amazing place. It looks like rubble. Only two protruding columns are visible from a distance. However, when you are on the site of a former 5th Dynasty temple, you can see many interesting artifacts such as basalt floor, fragments of cartouche blocks, Sahure's tomb or pyramids destroyed by time. This place, like every other place in Egypt, has its secrets and unclear details. The holes in the granite blocks scattered around the temple look like someone drilled them yesterday with a drill and a diamond drill. Being on the spot, you can feel the power of history, the more so that in the distance you can see the buildings in Saqqara and Giza, and in particular the pyramid of Dzoser. I look forward to the next movie.
I saw all your videos this weekend. They are great. congratulations. thank you for doing them so well and with so much well-studied data. gain 3 kilos enjoying them hahaha. Kisses
I enjoy your low-key style and how you show what it's like to walk around the sites. Always nice footage. Good speed. And you are never sleazy or promoting yourself. 😇
Enjoying very much your filming and commentary so thank you. My only gripe is that the background music is too intrusive. I would be glad if it was ditched altogether. You have a very listenable voice and the information is important so why overlay it?
Even though much of the site is in bad condition there is still so much to see! Once again you have shown another awesome site that is definitely worth visiting! Thank you for all these wonderful videos!
This must have been a gorgeous place, and I would have gotten lost. It's sad to see it so ruined. Good luck on your next adventure. I wish you many more new subscribers and supporters.
@Cat Man I agree with you to it's so sad they're so ruined and I Wonder has that all been whether or was that some of the men's doing? I also wanted to reply because we have a local legend in our town called catman so I dig the name
The remains and ruins of ancient Egypt are so vast that it defies the imagination. Thanks, ASG, for another great video of one of the lesser known areas. Spectacular sound on this one.
You use very nice sounding and 'matching the spirit' sort of soundtracks as background music...... could you please mention the names of the soundtrcks in the video description !!!
Beautiful! Excellent video. Those drill holes are such an enigma. I wish someone who believes they were made by hand with hand tools from the archeological record would give us a demo and show us how it's done. Or even just show us how they cut the blocks perfectly flat and with perfect 90 degree angles. Great job with this video and keep up the good work!
@@richardcrow3042 I have done it , I have a number of how to videos in a long playlist that includes cutting and polishing demonstrations. Scientists Against Myths and Mike Haduck Masonry channel are worth looking up. They also use copper, bone and stone tools.
Do these drill holes also have grooves? it can tell you about the tolls that were used and their hardness... Like if the grooves are 1mm apart or 2mm apart that makes a great difference. The further and harsher the grooves are , the harder the drill was. (and the faster it drilled through)
@Eawin Maes Beautiful addition to our Collective pondering! It sounds like you're a mason of some sorts, I think it would be beautiful if you would make a channel analyzing ancient archaeology drill holes and of the such!
@@AliciaMully I used to work for a drilling firm yes :-) all drills make grooves and the closer they are together the faster the drill went / the less hard it was. Drill holes should be investigated more thoroughly , with a measure next to it, a macro picture of the grooves, taking swabs of the grooves that were protected from the weather , etc... so much to do. now I see so many people just going there and filming and thats it... nothing more happens.
Beautifully filmed as if we were walking there with you. Well done! Also enhanced by some of the music and would appreciate the composer's name if you get a chance....
Very well done explaining the part where the change of religion happened and how priests became equal or near equal in ruling. hence the names change and the buildings change.
Scientists Against Myths channel has solved the issue with drill holes. Using the drill type shown by the Egyptians. I have done a number of follow up experiments with different abrasives. Both quartz and emery replicated those striations. The tapering is also a by product of the Egyptian flywheel drill.
Granite is synthetic. The holes were inserted with a template until the granite was still soft. It's not from Aswan! There is a reagent that also dissolves granite. We crystallize it in the form we want it to. This is Scythian. Hungarian technology.
It's sad that Egyptian ancient sites look so trashy. So much for the Supreme Antiquities authorities. Just pay a few people to sweep up. Monuments in Mexico and Peru seem much better maintained.🤐
Fascinating.
Thanks
Good soundtrack !
A very important photo trip. I personally enjoyed watching this journey.
Thank you!

13:13 I wish we would have this deciphered, these early hieroglyphs are very interesting and rarely seen I wish they were online to analyze
Interestingly stylized. Fifth Dynasty
Thank you for being such a great tour guide. I hope someday soon to have such an opportunity to witness in person the magic of Egypt.

There are videos out about that very same topic it can't be done the technology seen here is 500 more times efficient than we have today

It's believed that they're ancient.
