- I head out to Quarry lakes to go after some stock trout. The intention of this video is to show how to best target trout in East Bay lakes, such as Quarry, Chabot, Temescal, Del Valle, etc. This is a relatively easy fish to catch, and if you want a relaxed and possibly tasty fishing experience, trout fishing in the East Bay may be for you

So they stock the lake and you still only caught one? 🤔 California fishing is weird
When I was a kid I never fully grasped just how gigantic and exotic the fish were that Jeremy caught. Now, I’d be lucky to catch anything past 10lbs. lol
Yeah, Jeremy Wade is a legend. We also live in different times now, much fewer big fish as a general trend from what I can tell
Awesome Video!!! just got 1 more sub!!!! watching from redwood city!!!!
Thank you! And thanks for subscribing!
Nice fish dude! Next time, try letting a little more line off your reel so the bobber hangs down a bit more, easier to detect more subtle takes. 🤘
Yeah, that was the plan but the sinker was a little heavy, kept dragging the bobber back up... oh well 😅
thank you so much i have been at this lake sooo many times and not have caught any fishing, but no wi know what i have to do
Glad I could help!
BE SMART...Dont clip the bobber hook on your line. You're setting yourself up for failure like that. Clip something else on the bobber that can easily be taken off quickly when a fish strikes. You can use wire, clothes j hooks, or even a jimmy rigged snap swivel that wont get tangled up.
Never seen that bobber technique 😂, I’m bouta use that .
Great to see you back CA state side again. Always enjoy your videos when they are local.
nice podcast
Wtf this is not a podcast
it was a guided meditation 😅
I fish there frequently and I still get skunked a lot. Using the same technique. Lucky catch man. Nice job.
Yeah, a lot of fishing these lakes is knowing when to go, if you go the day of or after the plant, your odds will skyrocket
Wow great video! I'll be using that bobber technique next time I go out.
Thanks! Tight lines
Nice just subbed! I took my friend fishing and showed him this vid and he said he recognized you from middle school lol
Thats awesome! Who is your friend?
Fisherman's Chronicles Patrick brown!
Very educational thank you for the phenomenal content
Glad you learned and enjoyed
Hella good vid Ilan this one is hella helpful
Thanks Benny, this is one you could try to get into fishing
Very nice as always! I’m usually listening to podcasts as well. Have you ever gone after the wild rainbows and sea run cutthroat in Northern California? I had a blast on the smith. Cutthroat, rainbow, and steelhead all in the same day!
Wow! I haven’t, when did you go?
In the spring last year. It’s a pretty area, and the fishing is good. I did well on the local jetty and beach too.
@@coffeeismygod Huh, I'll have to head up sometime
I've been going to the lake for the past 5 days and I skunked every day. Any tips that I can try? I am currently using green and orange power bait.
What time are you going? Also, do you check the ebrpd plant schedule to see when the week when fish are planted?
@@FishermansChronicles I go at 7am and stay for 2-3 hours. I went the whole week they planted and I didn't catch a single fish.
Did you see other people catching?
@@FishermansChronicles Only one time and he was there for 10 minutes lol
Yea. They planted 1200 lbs of lassen before Christmas and I went 5 out of 7 days and didn’t see many fish caught after stocking day (especially lightnings). Did the pelicans eat them all?
