This video solidifies that we need to do better telling women about post-birth changes. We need to prepare them and make them feel confident.
Most of my prenatal classes did a great job preparing me for life post birth. The only thing that didn't come up is that you still look pregnant for awhile after giving birth. Takes a little time for the uterus to shrink and to get all of your organs back in the right place.
This. Education!
Like... if it wasn’t for this video, I would’ve gone all the way into adulthood thinking that pregnancy and childbirth are simple, cut-and-dry.
Ideally, also telling men
Esther Johannes absolutely correct!! That is certainly the ideal :)
I want a baby but this pregnancy thing doesn’t sound like a motive

“Whatever marks they left on my body, they were all worth it “
Made me think of my mom and how she really did give everything for me
Imagine going through all this after giving birth to a baby boy just for him to grow up and disrespect women.
PeechieMeechie11 hun, a child isn’t born disrespecting women. In order for this to happen, they had to have experienced something (verbal or physical trauma), and/or never taught how to deal with their emotions so they project it out on women in violent ways, and/or simply weren’t taught or modeled respect and boundaries in general.
Adults that do these things are just broken and wounded children. They are a result of their childhood experiences. All of us are. The way our brains process those experiences is different for everyone so that’s why people act out in different ways. For example, some sexually abused people may get depressed, some may abuse drugs or alcohol, some project it out on men/women through physical violence.
The way our brain defends itself is out of our control and until we become aware of it, we can’t truly heal and change. Don’t blame the boy, he’s unknowingly a product of his childhood experiences, negative and positive just like you an me.
Vale ooooooorrr could be bad associations
@@Vale-dh1tn you might trigger someone with these sensitive topics your talking about
That depends how you raise him what you're basically saying is that all men disrespect women
SugarPlum FairyDied I apologize for not giving a trigger warning.
People need to open their eyes and start looking up the answers to human behavior. All seeds are planted in childhood. Our childhoods are the reason we are the way we are.
So yeah I’m not getting pregnant

Now i understand why its a sin to be disrespectful towards your parents
Same they go through so much
I still don’t get why all mine do is abuse me 🤷🏻♀️
@@user-hh8wf8lc2b well that is also a sin
@@lifehack182 Sometimes I don't get it. Like you have a child just to abuse it, if you really didn't want to have them then why didn't they just get an abortion (if they wanted to) or put them up for adoption or just accept the fact they have a child and actually take care of them
I don't know how all of this works but I'm pretty sure there's many ways
Men don't give birth so
I see why so many mothers get plastic surgery after pregnancy. That will definitely be me if I’m not happy with my body after
My post-baby vanity surgery list is so ready 😨😧
SAME. Saving up money now.
U shouldn’t be insecure I mean u will FUKING GROW A BABY AND POP IT OUT OF UR 😺 so just be happy about bc I’m for sure going to adopt 😌
Part of you will get used to it/ not care because you'll be sooooo busy taking care of a baby. And usually your body does (mostly) bounce back in about a year with exercise and diet. Also breastfeeding helps.
this is why it's important for the men in new mom's lives to make them feel loved and appreciated and never point out all their new bodily imperfections, and even with this support if a woman still wants to reshape her body then no one should judge imo
I’m pregnant, I’m not sure if I should be watching it 😳
Not sure how far along you are but MOST of these "post partum" changes happen BEFORE you give birth not after. I'm 33 weeks in and have only gained 16 pounds, have none of the common issues females have in pregnancy.
Better to know now than be surprised:) Also you can have different things happen in different pregnancies. I'm 20 weeks with baby #4 and every pregnancy has been different:)
It's good to know though! Congrats!
One of y’all’s BEST videos!!
As scary as all this is, you will forget. lol. IT IS LITERALLY THE CRAZIEST THING. I think it's how people keep having babies.

@@aminag4836, pray for me
What they were talking about is commom but it doesn't happen to everyone. Postpartum hair loss is temporary and genetic, many women don't lose their hair. Hemorroids are made when you push too long or when it's unessecary because that pressure cause the veins to swell and pop out. Prevention there is to only push when you get the urge, otherwise you will do more harm than good. And the blatter being weak, belly being loose is nornal because your muscles got loose even the one controlling your bladder. What you can do is exercise before and after pregnancy like mild gymnastics it's actually recommended. So yeah, no woman have the same experience and what you go trough can be either prevented or helped
😂😂😂
nehe ne Omg same here, currently 8 weeks in and I’m now terrified 😂😭
I actually don’t feel bad about not wanting kids ever, I didn’t grow up in an affectionate home and I’m not an affectionate person, I don’t feel comfortable saying”I love you” to anyone, I would feel bad knowing that I wouldn’t be able to show affection and have patience to raise a child, and to be honest a lot of women don’t have children, I just don’t see myself ever see myself as a mother, I see myself as like a cool aunt in the future
Nothing wrong with not wanting kids.. But thats how i felt when i was younger.. Now im 38 and 34 weeks along and already telling baby i love her whenever shes kicking. Funny how time works
EricA Amato I know I’m still a minor ... but I feel really happy for loving mothers, and I have nothing against baby’s, but that just doesn’t seem like the life for me , maybe I’ll change my mind in the future but idk, also congratulations!

And that’s 1000% valid, you don’t owe anyone kids and if you know you don’t want to or if you can’t emotionally that’s 100% fine as well

22 weeks currently!! 🥰
Imo I think what would've been a good addition to this vid is having a doctor or someone explaining why some of the things are happening or how to help these situations.
Yeah, for example it's most common for women's feet to grow if they gain too much weight or if they eat too much sugar, salt or not walk enough.
So basically, having a baby sucks the life out of you😳
Kanisha Chinn actually its nutrition deficiency that causes most the problem if you are really good and took good vitamins it would get better
Absolutely, after my first child I had to get my gallbladder removed and my second child I had a milk abscess develop in my breast the size of a golf ball that had to be surgically removed. I love my babies but never again.
Pregnancy too, cause the baby basically feeds off of you & then birth, and postpartum tries to regulate everything but in some cases the damage is done
yes
It does
Noone mentioned the post partam bleeding. It's like having your period for a month straight. 💯 And you can feel your organs slowly shifting to the right places again...
SCARY!
Exactly i bled for 6 weeks than got my period right after so another week
janine Bean can I ask how you knew the difference between the PP bleeding and knowing it was a actual cycle?
Laura Lee because around 4 weeks i was only spotting and not bleeding as much for another 2 weeks. Then i got my period it was heavy and lasted a week thats how i knew. Also i never got cramps after giving birth at all but did with my period
I bled heavily for the first week after birth, and experienced light spotting the next week, and that was all. It's different for everyone!

Sui Caedere i think this is why Kim K W resorted to it after the second time. She was like might as well quit while I’m ahead
That’s disgusting, so many foster children needing homes and you rent a woman to have a child for you
Duda Mendes Mili Do you go thrifting for your dinnerware, clothes, utensils, food? I hope so. Otherwise how disgusting of you to go buy new dishes, clothes, and food that are polluting our earth and filling our landfills.
Your argument of why go get new when wcan use existing ones can be applied to everything.
And why am I disgusting for wanting to have someone else have my children that I am clearly planning and desiring?
Go call out the parents letting their kids down by giving them to the system or the family of the parents that don’t take them. Or the pharma companies that have ruined many a person into incapable parents!
Claire from experience the woman* not girls, that do surrogacy do iit because they have children of their own and understand the toll and are able tp put a price tag on it. Paying a surrogate isn’t cheap! And they get paid whether pr not a birth is successful.
Do NOT make it seem like there’s a rich class paying 20 year old to pop out kids.
There’s a requirement for these women go be previous mothers and to understand the situation and risk.
They don’t do it out of need or greed! They do it to help another couple have a child regardless of there being infertility issues or just issues of employment and lifestyle not allowing for a biological pregnancy!
You’re so uneducated.
For all the people showing their disgust to having a suroggate dude its their FLIPPING CHOICE NO NEED TO JUDGE

When she said she started pumping blood, I cringed so hard
Rhi3698 honestly she was being hysterical. She pumped so hard she did it to herself. I looked it up too- you can’t lactate blood she was just being dramatic

“Pumping blood” *exist the chat*
Based on her description she wasn't actually having a problem producing milk, but having trouble getting it out.
My only guess is she didn't learn to latch properly and had the wrong funnel size for her pump because bleeding shouldn't happen when you have a good latch and you certainly don't have engorged, hard boobs if you're not producing.
She likely had cracked, dry nipples that bled into the milk. She was not actually pumping blood, lol
SAME
What Ice said. Engorged boobs mean there was too much milk in them that wasn't getting out.
I have a 9 month old daughter and I have none of these I guess I’m blessed 🤷🏼♀️
Hey look, more reasons to never have a baby. I’ll add them to the giant Everest-sized pile of NOOOPE! *shudder*
So did you miss them all saying it was worth it? And we are all getting old anyway. So you don’t have to have kids but vanity is poor reason not to.
Sara Samaletdin Did you miss me clearly saying I had a huge pile of other reasons why I don’t want kids? I’d say the already overburdened and overpopulated planet, the physical pain and horrors of pregnancy, my own mental health, time, freedom, career, creativity, travel, and alone time rank above the vanity. I didn’t mention anything about the way I look. And what on earth does getting old have to do with it? Yes, we’re all going to get old and wrinkly one day (if we’re lucky!). That’s a fact of life and happens kids or no kids. What matters to me is what I do and how I live on the way to that point.
Amen to that. I can respect the amazing work moms do, but it is definitely not for me.
Sara Samaletdin there is no “poor” reason to not want kids... that’s like saying theres a poor reason for not liking or wanting chocolate ice cream, or the flu shot. Any reason is a good and valid reason. Not everyone wants certain things and that’s fine and no one should have to have an explanation to justify their life choices
You should watch a video on the great aspects of pregnancy l/having a child too before making a decision
I have so much respect for these women for talking about this on such a public platform.
But I’m also keeping/replacing my IUD for the rest of my childbearing years
Everyone is like “this video is free birth control” but this just makes me wanna have babies more. I’m ok with going they the pain for the beautiful baby I will have in the future.
Madalyn Berry I was thinking the same thing! Like it’s so worth it for such a beautiful tiny human
I love babies and small kids. I love all the cool gear. I still definitely want to be a mom in the future.
Exactly!
6 weeks after having my son and I’m still sore. I feel like I’ll never been the same again. People tell you what to expect after having the baby baby-wise, but don’t tell you what to expect with your own body. You are so unbelievably sore and emotional and tired but still have to look after this little bundle of joy. It’s crazy.
6 months after having my son and I still feel drained and not pleased with myself , after birth could be temporary or permanent . And they never tell you what your going to expect after birth.
This video is the best contraception. I’m 37 and never wanted them. Recently I had a couple of “hmm maybe...” thoughts but this just cemented it. I like my body as it is. Fair play to all the mums out there though - you’re all heroes and you have my utmost respect!
Louise Lowe at 37? Dude I’m 35. Are you also like ridiculously-good-looking? Cause I have two. Keep hmmm maybeing cause it was worth it for me and im vain
To had to your reasons not to have children : du to all the changes the body goes through during pregnancy, I heard the more you have children the less life expectancy you have 🤷🏽♀️ don’t know if it’s true tho.
You do you girl ! 🤗
thechristelle4 I’ve heard quite the opposite the more children you’ve got the more will you have to live and you body produces natural antioxidants
@@thechristelle4 It could be because of the constant stress, stress has such a huge effect on your physical health
My brother grew up too fast.. poor guy lmao
Father at 15, single father at 16 (gf’s suicide)
But he’s mature now.
He was never able to hang out with his friends, go to parties, get drunk and high.
He wanted to be there for his twin girls. He did online school, graduated and is becoming a cop.
He’s 21 now, still there for his girls.
❤️❤️
😎
I had PUPPS rash, "morning sickness" that lasted all day, every day, my entire pregnancy, horrible edema third trimester, mild pre-eclampsia, mild cholestasis, and severe anemia during my pregnancy/immediately post delivery. It was miserable, but so worth it once I saw my baby boy for the first time, ma shah Allah!
I have nothing to comment but much much love for these wonderful human beings. As a 30 year old woman who has never been in a serious relationship let alone being a mother I admire you all to go through all of this and most importantly to share them with us so openly.
Was gonna send this to my pregnant friend... only 5 minutes in and I decided not to after all..
Would be a really bad decision
lol same. i wanted to send it to my sister in law as a cute entertainment. well i don’t want to scare her lmao

Darn. You should've sent it to her. It would have been hella entertaining for to see her freak out.
Same. I don't want to freak her out.
I just got comfortable with my body.... and now I'm 8 months pregnant. Yay....
River Clark you can do it 👏🏻💕
Me too... Got into Keto lost weight without suffering for the first time in my life and was happy asf... then boom.... Pregnant
When you give birth, you'll realize just how strong you are, you're stronger than you will EVER realize. Be patient, educate yourself, and don't trust doctors with everything
Same. Lost 25lbs and was finally content with how I looked then got pregnant less than 6 mo the later. I just had my baby a month ago.
Ok let me tell you not every women go through this, I’m pregnant and most of these things never happened to me.
But you'll never know unless you try. And once you try there's no going back...
Which is why you need to know that you really want it.
Read the title. It's about what's happens AFTER the pregnancy. Everything ahead of you!
This is wholeheartedly the best video I’ve ever watched. The sheer honesty and how this had a comical touch is what we all needed to break the barrier to the scary side of pregnancy. Thank you ladies for your stories 😂💕
They also don’t tell you that when you breast feed it’s also painful in your uterus because it’s contracting. And then it feels like labor again but not quite as bad. Eventually it goes away but still hurts a lot.
Wow.
This didn’t happen to me with my first. Holy cow did it get me the second time around. Next baby will be taking a hot water bottle to the hospital for after.
Omg yes, my first wasn’t too bad but it was horrible with my second. I’ve been told it gets worse with each pregnancy 😬
Not everyone has this but it can be a shock to have "pains" during feeding. Knowing this prevents bleeding too much and helps shrink your uterus back to normal size is worth focusing on till it subsides.
I read this as *"surprising things your baby does after childbirth "*
SAME, I didn't even realise I read it wrong until you said so. I should've realised by the video...

That's a whole nother video.
That's why I think 40-s is the best time for maternity - you will be less worried because of those changes and less disappointed of beauty loss
I’m planning on getting pregnant this year and I’ve watched so much on the positives that now it’s an eye opener to see what happens after birth. Thank you so much for this video!
this has solidified the fact that i don't ever want to get pregnant
They didnt even cover C-Section births. Those come with all that and a whole nother list of things that happen to your body afterwards.
This! 👆
Yesss...I had a c section a month ago and my lower abdomen is still numb
Chelsea Guinn is that normal?
According to what my doctor said Yes but it’s very weird to me lol
Chelsea Guinn i had my son 2 years ago and my lower abdomen is numb too it feels so weird at times
omg I loved this video.. all of it is so true.. I laughed I cried a moment.. it's so nice to hear other moms going through what i have with both my pregnancies but it's the best gift in the world to be a MOM!!!! I love it more than anything ever!
I’m almost 9 months pregnant and y’all are scaring me.
How's your baby now 😊 bet your happy

Only reason I clicked on this.
So you’re telling me all the money I’m putting into laser hair removal is a waste? 😭😭
I had laser prior to pregnancy and I am still good after having my baby. Just depends on each person.
@@NVME480 Thank God. Atleast there is some hope. My heart just sank after I saw that.
😝😝😝😝😝
Where I go they have a lifetime policy. So if at any time the hair comes back you can go back for free to remove it.
CJ WHERE DO YOU GO!?
Dear moms, thx for sharing these 'embarrassing' details, it is soooo nice to hear them and gives us a little insight and a lot to think about🖤
So good to have this out there. I'm 2.5 years post partum and this stuff is so common but no one talks about them!
Shout out to my brand new IUD!

Shrek Is amazing it’s was just posted
Is see your a woman/man of culture too.
Lmaoo 😂
The end of this video was so good and assuring. I am 21weeks pregnant now and and really scared but at the same time I realized its a miracle to give birth and embrace the imperfections it brings. God bless these ladies they are giving hopes to expecting moms like me.
Just had my second baby 3 weeks ago and I can say yes to every single thing these women experienced are true. I got all of them. Nobody tells you these things happen and how much your body changes but women are built differently. Our bodies are like magic!
Never having kids I didn’t want them anyway but this is the cherry on top
I don’t like the “I don’t know if it’ll ever go away” part 😂😬
The women that talked about mental health honestly really made me feel better.
Honestly, this makes my dreams of being a mother even stronger. As mentally difficult I think it will be, I’m excited to have the body changes.. maybe bc having a baby is such a dream of mine
I had a good pregnancy thank God. Easy natural labor....I did have 3 doses of epidural though. Morning sickness was 24/7 for 3 months straight. I was glowing. My skin and hair. I didn't get any stretch Mark's. It's genetic on my mom's side of the family. Never had postpartum depression. My baby was born in the summer. I was out with her all the time. Didnt have to be locked inside the home in the cold. She was a pretty easy baby. At 4 months old she started sleeping the whole night. She is now 11 years old 🧡
good for you God bless
Natural isn't with epidural though..? That just a vaginal birth which is still AMAZING and honestly giving birth (I've had an epidural and a natural) was the best thing I've ever done and my biggest accomplishment lol
Holly Long a natural birth is a birth that doesn’t need medical intervention, such as c section. Different people have different mentalities on what’s natural or not.
@@nataliebatista651 actually an epidural isn't considered natural. Natural is no drugs/ interventions, as the name suggests.
aditi3333 like I said depends on the person.
99% of comments: “I’m never having kids.”
It’s really depressing my, especially since I’m already pregnant
More men need to watch this so they know what happens if it was a partnered decision, if it wasn't so they know what their baby mommas went through or will go through.
I am beyond thankful to the women who make and who are in these videos, it truly helps alot!
My feet never grew. I didn’t gain weight anywhere besides thighs and booty, both went away right after birth. My skin didn’t get more sensitive. I didn’t get weird veins. My breasts and nipples didn’t change. I didn’t get hemorrhoids.
These are all very relative to each mother. I’m thankful to have had none of these issues.
Same here! I never even bought maternity clothes, I just had to unzip my jeans. Literally left the hospital wearing a pair of jeans that fit even before I got pregnant lol. I personally think a LOT of these things are related to the lifestyle of the mother.
Kaitlyn 990 It’s not really lifestyle, it’s mainly genes. Just like how your period can be similar to your biological mothers because of genes, your pregnancy is the same. (Obviously not for everyone but definitely for most)
Women are simply AMAZING 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
yes, if anyone says mEn ToO shut up and let women have the spotlight for once💅🏻
I’m asexual and have no desire in having kids lol still find these videos
interesting.
I love the fact that they're embracing their bodies... I have a toddler and I have no problem with mine... especially my stretched marks😁
This is my biggest issue regarding having my own biological children.
