The absolute desperation in Dylan’s voice when he’s telling Kaitlyn to run is really sad. You can tell he actually cared a lot about some of his fellow counsellors
Seeing Dylan get hurt in this game is always so heartbreaking. He's such a likable character that it actually sickens me to see his death scenes. They certainly wrote him correctly, that's for sure
The voice actor for Dylan did an oscar-worthy job during the wolf transformation scene. You can hear the fear and terror in his voice, and it's delivered so well.
when his hand is cut off, as a horror fan who isn’t freaked out by gore i was fine with the gore aspect of it, but dylan’s screams is what made it freak me out. they were so realistic, it just shows of how good the actor really is!
@@leonie4322 and oh as a person who doesn't like gore VERY VERY much, imagine how it felt like for me 💀 I was weak to the knees and gasping as he screams loudly.. it looks so real my god 😭
@@lalaskii7814 how'd you get through/watch the rest of the game? there's a lot of severe face maiming and beheading and disemboweling so i'm surprised you endured it
@@eg4441 I guess you can say I endured it because in my head I always think "okay this is not real, it's just a game" I don't really mind minor gore scenes.. meanwhile Dylan hand cutting scene and Laura scraping eye scene especially affect me so much because I guess they make it so realistic.. with the scream, shaky voice, and all. Also maybe because I didn't expect it at all... Surprise syndrome plays a part too 🙆
dylan imo is the best character in the game, he told Kaitlyn to run when he was transforming and when his hand got bitten he cut it off real quick + he was super relatable in overcompensating for his personality because of a dumb joke he made at the start of camp
the fact that all the werewolves look the same really ups the tension. the characters genuinely have no idea who they're shooting, they only find out in the morning when emma or dylan or nick are never heard from again
THANK YOU!!! Many were comparing it to Until Dawn. " Theres no tattoo or features to know who is who". Thats the point, the game is already laughably easy, everything shouldn't be spelt out
*FUN FACT:* Dylan is the only character who _can_ transform into a werewolf during the course of the game, but _can't_ kill or infect anyone. Ryan, Abi, and Kaitlyn cannot transform during the game even though they can be infected. Jacob can kill Emma. Max can kill Emma. Emma can kill Abi and Dylan. Nick can kill Abi and Jacob. Laura can kill Travis. But werewolf Dylan can't kill anyone.
before becoming a werewolf everyone seems to be aggressive but I think its a boost of how they're really feeling (albeit due to the boosted emotions) so Dylan telling Kaitlyn to run was the only thing on his mind when morbing
@@youngrootv Even at the start of the game she had time to put 2 and2 together, id be pretty skeptical if my friend asks me how to disable a car…and then minutes later the car doesn’t work lol
Pretty sure she just didn't want to mention it, if she would've mentioned it then people would start blaming her and not trust her due to the mess they are in (which is partly her fault), her not talking about it would've always been a better option for her. But ofc it would've been cool to at least have an option where she says she knows the rotor arm is missing due to Jacob (which could lead to her being betrayed) or not to mention it at all. Sometimes it's better to not mention things though, especially when it wont help a tough situation.
Tbh the werewolves look more like a wendigo or a skinwalker to me. Keep in mind I like the design regardless, I just find the design choice interesting that's all
Tbh I'm okay with it, I mean the Wendigo in Until Dawn does not look like a typical Wendigo at all, and it's seems like it's the same for this case as well
@@ultimateobserver4379 ...?? It's *exactly* what one would expect a wendigo to look like, what're you talking about? Until Dawn pretty much has THE best and iconic-looking Wendigos in media, followed by like, Supernatural, Hellboy, and Grimm.
I think a good reason for Dylan telling Kaitlyn to run away vs Nick being more aggressive towards Abi is because Dylan knows what is happening to him. When Nick got infected, he had no idea what was going on as it slowly took control of him. With Dylan’s infection, he knows he’s about to turn and thus knows to warn Kaitlyn before. Great scene and I love Dylan’s character.
And I agree, I also think the fact that of nick being the first one to be infected rlly sets the tone of yo something’s up with what’s happening and give the players a warning
I was always confused as to why Nick comes across as overly aggressive leading up to his transformation, but no one else seems to do the same? It made sense in my mind that he was being horrible to Abigail because the infection was making him overtly aggressive but if the others get infected they don't show the same traits. I did read another comment saying it actually amplifies their inner emotions, so that means that Nick was always secretly a massive asshole, but I didn't get that vibe from him at the beginning. I could see he was definitely insecure but I couldn't see him being an intentional asshole towards Abigail like that. Maybe the infection just affects them all differently but I think I would have liked the idea of them all getting progressively more aggressive as the infection spread in their bodies. I think it would have brought out more drama between the characters and really revealed some hard truths.
I actually saw two different transformations of Jacob and Emma and they were becoming "delusional" as well. In this video Max is definitely angrier than before. I guess some characters can handle the transformation better than others.
Maybe it’s all about willpower. Dylan seemed to be one of the few who had enough strength to tell Kaitlyn to run instead of simply screaming and transforming, and he also was one of the few that never actually changed much leading up to his transformation, so maybe he and a few others were simply fighting it better.
I think it's because Nick was portraying sort of a "nice guy act" and when you get to the core of a "nice guy" there's usually a very insecure jerk. And you can see with Jacob it was just pure insecurity when he transformed. So I agree with the theory that it's your inner emotion of being brought out.
Seeing most of the other characters about to turn fueled by rage like Nick and Jacob angry towards Abi and Emma, but then seeing Dylan resisting with everything he had to tell Kaitlyn to run away from him in his final moments as he couldn't fight the turning process any longer genuinely hurt me, I went from not really liking Dylan a lot, to loving him, it's weird because my name is Dylan and I've never actually seen anyone in a game called Dylan and the first time I do he is my favourite character😂😅
Dylan didn't become aggressive like Nick, Max etc etc. Even before transformation Nick said he wants to taste Abi, called her dumb. Max called Laura a bitch. Dylan's personality didn't change till the very end and that's why I like him.
@@bellawasthere when Nick said he wanted to taste abi I'm pretty sure his brain was already half in Wolf mode already. And those were the dog thoughts but since was still human he could speak them out And it shows they get more aggressive before turning so that's why max called Laura a bitch
saw the full moon at the very beginning of the game and immediately thought there were gonna be werewolves. love that this turned out to be the case, the designs are killer!
I know right? I watched a play through by Tmartn2 and one of the thumbnails showed what I could only assume was a werewolf, albeit one I've never seen before in fiction. I'm a huge werewolf fan, so I got fucking excited right away, and I'm glad my hunch was correct. 😍
I’ve been wondering why Dylan was really the only character aside from Laura to keep his cool during his infection and warns Kaitlyn, but then I realized that he’s the only character that we see transform that knows what’s going to happen having seen Nick and heard Laura explain the Werewolf situation so he fights it, while Emma, Nick and Jacob never fully get the memo so they succumb to the aggression and despair of the transformation.
Na, Emma was a major dill hole to abi as well. Maybe she was just secretly disliked by her coworkers. Notice how Katlyn and Dylan leave her in an unlocked storm shelter then tell her, "Na, it'll be fine. We're gonna go find a car. And come back for you! Yeah! We'll totally be back." (Dylan was told about the werewolf thing, if the character knew they realized they were not acting right) But also Dylan was straight up the voice of the audience when he saw Nick's infection to be as bad as it was than later immediately call for his own hand to be removed when bitten.
Dylan's turning scene is so heartbreaking man he's easily one of my favourite characters also Nicks's turning scene it's so freaky hes so daunting standing tall in the corner of the room with only the flashlight it's pretty scary also Abigail was kinda badass in that scene
I think Dylan and Jacob have the most heartbreaking turning scenes, but maybe that's just because I love Jacob. If Jacob was real I'd wanna be his friend in an instant he seems funny. I'll never forget "Pop Em In My Mouth"
@@TheCottonCandy707 you do realize people DO think it's natural, so what does thst say about you? Are you incapable of registering what is and is not natural?
I'm obsessed with the creature design. "It doesn't look like a werewolf." Yeah, that's what's cool about it. If they were typical, hairy werewolves, they wouldn't be nearly as interesting.
@@dumbitc11 They seem to look more doglike depending on how long they've been infected. The characters that turned that night look mostly human but characters like caleb that have been for 6 years have bigger ears and a snout. But yea i don't completely see the wolf part either, especially with no fur. To be fair, they look creepier hairless. (also really sad that you never really get a good look at them since its always so dark and they're covered in blood)
There's always a Jacob in a werewolf story I swear Edit: I don't know why I said werewolf story, I meant to say in almost every story including a werewolf and it's usually the werewolf that is named Jacob
I think to get the most interesting story in the game, Emma, Nick and Dylan need to turn. Emma because she's on her own, naturally easy prey and becomes an obstacle for the characters later on. Also nothing else really happens with her if she doesn't turn. Nick because it throws Abigail's character into a friz which brings more tension to the story and finally Dylan because his transformation is the most tragic, not only for being the most likeable character but also for how he acts during the transformation. By far the best one. Personal opinion, don't kill me.
Abi can get bitten at some point i think. So i dont really know myself if you can actually get EVERYONE infected somehow. But i never saw anyone with Abi infected yet so idk.
Dylan is the most reasonable to be in that situation trying to tell Kaitlyn to run away, i swear to god he is the best character in the whole game and he has all my heart.💓
Unpopular opinion I actually like these werewolf designs very unique and terrifying they look like something straight out of my Nightmares. And by terrifying I mean this scene right here 10:22 the way that things runs is enough to give anyone a heart attack.
@@kevinblaszczok3347 no offence but try animating a good graphic looking horror game with a unique werewolf design without any bugs, weird neck twitches, eye twitches or a couple problems. Yea they do look a little off but werewolves don’t specifically need to have hair or need to look like a wolf or a wild dog.
@@official_wonnie first of all I didn't criticize the look of the werewolf (hairy ...) Second I meant that they even could animate a really good creature like the wendigo in until dawn in 2015 or 2016 and make it actually scary but in a game some year's later with a better equipment the werewolf is just running goofy to the playable character
I mean come on I don't need to be an professional game animator to understand that it would and is possible to make it look better in the quarry if the game wouldn't be rushed and lazy constructed
@@kevinblaszczok3347 yeah and I agree with you. They didn’t even took time to let the survivors meet up at the end depending the ending which is in my only opinion the only bad thing. The endings are great except the extra end scenes that weren’t even there. The Wendigo’s in Until Dawn were easier to create because they didn’t have to make all the lightings around the creatures and movements much as they are fast beings with a slight smaller body height. Quarry has more lighting and effects then Until Dawn and that’s why the movements and looks are more off then in Until Dawn because Until Dawn is a literal dark game with snow and caverns and no sunlight until the end.
I'm about to info dump because I'm obsessed with mythology and folklore, and hopefully people in the comments will find it interesting! So a lot of people are confused about why the Werewolves in the game look more like the Wendigo creature design in Until Dawn, and not at all like actual Werewolves, and I think its because they're supposed to be Lycanthropes, not Werewolves! Lycanthropes and Werewolves are derived from the same mythological creature, Lycans being from Greek folklore and Werewolves being from English folklore, but they're actually very different creatures (similar, but wholly their own). Lycanthropes have more human characteristics than Werewolves; no body hair, stubby almost human noses, more intelligence, more defined muscle density, etc. Whereas Werewolves are much more wolf-like; covered in hair/fur, snouted, far more instinctual, and less muscular. The 'infection' works basically the same for the two (you get bit, you're infected), but a Lycan can infect a person with a bite even in human form, where a Werewolf has to be transformed to infect someone with a bite. The transformations, however, are entirely different. Lycans have full control over their transformation and can change forms at will anytime they want, whereas Werewolves have no control over their transformation at all. If you're a Werewolf, you unwillingly transform on the full moon no matter what. Their weaknesses also differ; Lycans can only be killed by severing the spine (silver only weakens them), and Werewolves are killed using silver bullets. So, funnily enough, the Werewolves you see in things like Twilight and Teen Wolf, are actually closer to Lycanthropes! They honestly kind of blended the two beings together for the creatures in the game; they have the appearance of a Lycan, a Lycans transference of infection, the transformation of a Werewolf, and the weakness of a Werewolf. So if you're wondering why the 'Werewolves' in the game don't look like a conventional Werewolf (or maybe just interested in some juicy folklore), there you go! I do kind of wish they went more Werewolf-ish with the creature design, since they do end up looking very similar to the Wendigo, but I kinda like that they went with the lesser know variant of the 'wolf-man' folklore.
Dylan’s very good at acting quickly under pressure, in the radio station when his hand got bit off he immediately told Ryan to cut it off and then here when he knows he’s going to transform he’s able to hold it off briefly and tell Kaitlyn to get away from him asap Also Miles Robbins is a great actor you can hear all his emotions in his voice when he yells at Kaitlyn
He doesn’t necessarily have to get his hand cut, I saw ohmwreckers playthrough and he managed to keep Dylan’s hand intact by having Ryan go outside to kill whatever was out there. He got everybody to live that was awesome.
i also kept calling her london tipton throughout my gameplay hahaha and the fact that Dylan looked EXACTLY like dylan sprouse(aka zack from zack and cody) was just perfect for my inner child lmao
I can’t help but wonder why Dylan’s first instinct is to amputate even before he knows there’s werewolves. He said to prevent infection spreading, but that is a HUGE leap, especially without experienced medical personnel or resources. Makes me wonder if he knew something. He also made some other weird comment at one point that I can’t recall now. Think it was when he was talking to Ryan in the cabin
@@bodnachuk877 That’s still a really far stretch to assume they should amputate, especially considering that a worse (under normal circumstances) infection or other issues could occur from amputation. It just seems really odd to me. I know it’s there to put the idea into the player’s mind but still
@@rpproductions6241 yeah that bugged me a lot too, i really wish ryan and dylan's roles were reversed since ryan listens to paranormal podcast, he should be suggesting werewolf infections and stuff, while dylan should be skeptical and view things scientifically.
Dylan obviously didn't know, no one did. but ever since Nick was bitten, he had a concern about rabies, and he might've just known that an amputation is a legit form of preventing the spread of rabies, he's even confident enough abt it that he tells Ryan to cut off his own hand too (ofc, usually a vaccine is used as treatment, but they're stuck at the camp with no transportation or doctor, so Dylan probably was worried that Nick would die if they didn't at least try something)
That's interesting. Despite being infected and showing visible signs, Kaitlyn didn't transform. I was thinking it was like that guy from Train to Busan, too busy trying to survive to even realize they're already infected.
@@augustwilson9633 I think she is immune. In almost any kind of infection, some people are just naturally resistant, asymptomatic or even straight up have a natural immunity. @@augustwilson9633 Some theorize it was Kaylee who bite and infected her and since Kaylee died pretty soon after that then she didnt get affected. Where as the werewolf that attacked Nick was Caleb, likely being deterred when his family began shooting at him. This would line up with how Ryan was affected if Laura infects him then they kill Caleb soon after, he only heals from his wounds and no other symptoms.
Halston Sage (Emma) also had some really good scenes as well, if Abi is killed by Nick in the pool area, Emma is informed later on when you find her in the car and she sounds absolutely devastated when you tell her abi died, because her and abi were really close. Then again, I don't think anyone did a bad job really, nicks character really didn't get enough scenes for us to tell if the actor did an amazing job or not, some characters just had more to do than others which made their performances better.

The people who dislike the monster design for the not being visually interesting, cool, or scary to you, I totally understand. However the amount of people not liking the design because it “doesn’t look like a werewolf” is an interesting take because everything about werewolves is fictitious. Werewolves have been hairy humans, actual quadrupedal wolves, essentially bipedal wolf people, and vaguely beast like humanoids such as these before throughout various stories so each person’s concept of a werewolf as a reference point can vary wildly since there’s no real world definitive species that really exists to point to as “THE werewolf.” Unless you mean it doesn’t look like the first fictitious human to wolf transformed creature ever mentioned in like the Epic of Gilgamesh or the ancient Greeks or something like that.
Yeah, I didn't like the design. To me, but that's just my opinion, there's so many werewolves that look just like humans with big teeth. My absolute favorite is the design in Van Helsing. A bipedal gigantic hybrid with the head of a wolf, claws of a wolf, but with a more human body. With or without tail works both to me.
My main gripe with these werewolves is their transformation. It looks very stupid, some kind of blood explosion and here's a werewolf for you. As for me, it would be possible to do something similar to the transformation from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
I didn't mind the design, but I was mainly pissed off because its just a reskin of the wendigo, which to me seems like such a sloppy way to go about it. I get reusing assets and such, but they didn't change anything big on it, they took the model and basically just reskinned it.

There's a reason Dylan and Kaitlyn are my favorites. The way Dylan screams for her to run away is so sad and chilling. For me, Dylan and Kaitlyn were the best duo to witness. The actors just did so well with them.
So i have a theory about Nick seeming more aggressive then the others before transforming. I do think it amplifies your traits/emotions and I do think that some of them can handle the transformation better and keep more control right before changing like Dylan did. This is just my opinion but I dont think that Nick gets aggressive because he was secretly an asshole or anything like that, that thought never occurred to me. At first I thought that was just a symptom of the transformation but after watching this video and seeing that he was the only one that did, I now have a working theory. First I'll start with Jacob. I cant tell all of what he was saying right before he transformed because there was no subtitles but what I did hear him say was "she doesnt want you, nobody does. Nobody wants you." This reflects how insecure he is when it comes to Emma. He comes off as confident but he's actually very sensitive and you can see this in moments in the game when he's alone. And about the "Nobody wants you" part, maybe it even goes beyond emma and he's insecure about what everyone else thinks of him, or maybe even that he never moved on from Emma because he thought she was the only one capable of loving him. Next is Dylan. I think he has very strong willpower, he's the only one that seemed to remain rational right before he transformed. And he's the only one where his appearance never changes much leading up to the transformation like you can see in the others. Dylan comes off as aloof and that he doesnt take anything seriously but he is actually very intelligent and considerate to others. So between having strong willpower and that he cares perhaps the most about the others . I think that is why his last thought was to warn Kaitlyn and to get her away. And so finally we come to Nick. This is just my guess but his "aggressiveness" came off more as lusty to me. Now this is based off of when I played it so it could be different for you. When he's laying down in the building right before he transforms. I chose to kiss him in the woods, I remember him asking Abi ,if she had wanted that too. Then he asked her if she wanted to go even farther than kissing. I think I had her say yes but he didnt believe her. I think in the wiki it says its really hard to convince him because he puts up walls and is afraid to let people in. So i think he really likes Abi so it just amplified his lust in his case. So really he's just horndog werewolf XD
I agree with you. it seems that the werewolf's venom (before the characters transformed) amplified a negative personality trait plus anger. Nick seemed to be insecure too and really liked Abi, so the curse amplified his insecurity with the girl he liked. So I don't think he's a bad guy, just a guy who was turning werewolf not knowing how to control it lol. Anyway, it's just my opinion, don't kill me lol
@emimia Exactly. The guy was clearly transforming, you could see it in his face. You can't ask for rationality from someone missing seconds to turn into a fierce beast hahaha ~~~making some corrections and additions to my previous comment: -I noticed that many characters still maintain a certain "rationality" in the sense of warning their colleagues, for example, but if we are to notice all those who warned their colleagues knew what was going to happen, unlike Nick, who didn't know he was going to transform and he had no idea what had attacked him. -another thing: I was wondering, if the curse, in addition to increasing the characters' anger, also increases the characters' defects, and according to the game's official website, Nick's biggest flaw is to build walls between him and people and not letting them in, this maybe means that when Nick was transforming, besides increasing his insecurity (during the game we can see that Nick is an insecure person too) with the girl he likes, the curse also made him want to put up walls between him and Abi, leading him to say those things to Abi, which if we pay attention during various details of the game (extra dialogues, messages from the game itself) are not in fact genuine, as the game has proven that he likes her at various times .
@emimia In fact, I recommend watching a video about all the response options in the kiss scene between Nick and Abigail. If you don't have the first kiss, they continue the dialogue and you can get to know a little more about the relationship between the two (and about what happened in the game of truth or dare) and you will find that Nick is a good guy and there is the option to kiss him again 😉 🥰

i see a lot of people in this comment section saying nick was always an asshole or jerk and that turning into a werewolf showed his true personality, and i’m here to tell you that isn’t true in the slightest. nick was the first one we saw transform, he was the first one in the friend group to get infected (if you take max out of the picture) and he didn’t know what was going on. nobody knew what was going on. nick just knew that he was in pain and didn’t feel good, he had no clue he was transforming into a beast. when you’re infected it does make you more hostile and i suppose “amplify” your emotions, but the reason nick was more “mean” was because he didn’t know he was turning so he was naturally more snappy because he didn’t think or know to fight off the aggression. max is a good example too. he called laura a bitch in the jail cell before turning, but he didn’t mean that at all, just like how nick insulted abi but didn’t mean that either. the reason everyone else was seen as more calm was because they knew they were infected and turning into werewolves so they tried their best to fight it off. nick didn’t because he didn’t know. i’m sure if he knew, he would fight it off just like everyone else. he isn’t naturally mean or a douchebag all along, he’s very sweet, it was just the transformation that did that. nick’s actor also confirmed on insta that the reason nick acted the way he did was all because of the infection and he’s not like that at all

@@lasignora547 maybe because she got bit by the werewolf Kaylee, and Kaylee dies quickly into the night so... that could explain why she never show any effects of infection Also, maybe than the deeper the bit is, the faster it starts infecting the person ? Maybe it's just a mistake from the devs
I noticed an error in the quarry ! So Abby can get bit in the chapter when she gets chased and it shows scratches but she never has any symptoms and it completely ignores this
For anyone who doesn't understand, the werewolf curse follows similar rules as vampires, in that if a werewolf is killed then all the people they infected lose the curse. The reason that Abigail never turns is because she can only be infected in chapter 3 by Kaylee who has a scripted death in chapter 5. This is why killing sylas at the end cures everyone, because it works like a tree passing down. Nick is infected by Caleb, who can't die until chapter 9 iirc.
I honestly thought this games story was dragging and only really got good until the end but, the graphics were worth it. It’s amazing to see where we are now. Some shots look real. I almost thought they were for a few seconds. Can’t wait to see where we’ll be 10 years from now
Hopefully in 10 years arseholes on UA-cam won't be able to put major spoilers in the title of their videos. I've deliberately not watched anything to do with this game so I could go in blind, now I've had the enemy type spoiled just by scrolling through UA-cam. Disgusting.
@@jacobw5914 no I didn't, I was scrolling through UA-cam and this video came up. How exactly could I have avoided it? I watched one trailer video for this game, that was it.
I don't know why people are hating on the werewolves design, sure, it's not the same as what we've seen before, but that's what I like, it's actually somewhat realistic in its design. My only complaint is that they took a bit too much inspiration from their previous works, Until Dawn and House of Ashes, and just did a fusion dance with the whole "Quick, near unkillable and a weakness you can rarely exploit." And the whole infection thing from House of Ashes.
I don’t care for the design, the transformation however is whack. So to become the beast they explode?! What?! Explosion then the beast form is revealed. Like a natural teeth grows, nails grows and they form the body of the beast idk. The explosion just throughs it off me.

I always thought that it would be really cool if sense kaitlyn and jacob know eachother they would react to eachothers deaths or something just to explore there relationship more
Maybe I missed something, but how did Dylan get infected? Also, I like how after the werewolf noticed that Kaitlin was one of them, it immediately backed off as if it made a mistake. I was wondering if they fought each other.
Adding on to the below reply because it's dependent - if you opt to break down the cabin door as Emma and Abi in the first chapter, the counselors outside the radio shack are able to hide in it more quickly when Dylan and Ryan warn them, thus evading Silas's notice. But this of course causes Silas to notice when Dylan is fixing the wire since he isn't preoccupied trying to get to the others, so he rips through and grabs Dylan's hand through the small hole in the roof and bites him. You then have the choice to amputate or not; not amputating results in him being infected.
i love how all the transitions are the same, but they all act different. dylan was selfless and told kaitlyn to run. jacob was insecure and transitioned because he was mad at himself and blamed himself for everything. nick was aggressive and mean as he tried to bring abby down
@emimia i mean you’ve got a point, but i still think it was showing his personality a little bit through it all. i don’t think he’s a complete a**hole, but might be a tiny bit with what the transition showed
What happens if Kaitlyn gets infected in Chapter 9 but Dylan does not and they together end up in the lodge and Kaitlyn gets left off by Caleb? What happens with Dylan? Will he be put into the near freezer situation? Will he just be left off? Will Kaitlyn help him? THIS GAME HAS SO MANY POTENTIAL SEQUENCES ITS ACTUALLY INSANE.
So in the scenario shown in the video, if Kaitlyn doesn't do anything: She basically tells Dylan to run without shooting and Caleb eats him cause he hesitates. Then the normal chase scene starts
18:41 why did Travis go psycho and decide he wanted to kill them both? In my playthrough he wanted to forget it and go for silas? Any one know why it wasn't like that here?
It depends on how you treated Travis during the chapter in the prison. If you were cooperative and friendly toward him, he will decide to ask for your help to take down Silas. But if you were spiteful to him or if you choose to steal his gun and shoot him, then he will kill you.
There's a scene where, if infected, werewolf Emma jumps out of the car and when Dylan is infected but kaitlyn isn't, the werewolf doesn't attack Dylan and wants to move to attack kaitlyn. But Dylan, in a split second, realises (or takes his chances) that the Werwolf won't harm him AND RUSHES IN FRONT OF IT TO PROTECT KAITLYN like bruh. Imagine doing that??? Ofc he was scared but to still do that, wow. Then when the Werwolf was confused and sniffed at him he grabbed the gun of kaitlyn and then fired a shot to scare werewolf Emma away. I was so in awe after that scene cause it was so uncanny and impressive. Dylan is amazing.
I like how when most of the characters transform, they all start talking about their insecurities. Like when Nick asked Abi If she liked him, and when Jacob started yelling about Emma
For dummies thinking Abby is somehow immune: Abby serves as a "stealth tutorial" on how the infection and cure system works. The player isn't explicitly told what's going on, and the protagonists have no clue how infection works or even that werewolves exist until after Abby has been cured, but the player _could_ conceivably figure it out. The werewolf who attacks Abby in Ch. 3 is Kaylee. Abby _can_ avoid infection here. If infected, Abby finds that she has super strength allowing her to choke out Bobby (but not kill him.) This confuses everyone, including Abby, because they don't know about the infection system. When Laura kills Kaylee, Abby's infection invisibly vanishes because she hadn't turned yet, and there is no opportunity to re-infect Abby later. This occurs before Nick turns, thus Abby isn't safe from Nick or (if applicable) Emma. . . . . . . . What _is_ an oversight, however, is that Travis says Caleb bit Chris, yet if Chris survives and Caleb does not, Chris is listed as still infected in the end credits.

likely immune to chronic diseases too, it's basically magic. the government would exploit the heck out of them, creating super soldiers and conducting all kinds of medical research
@LlEUCU. BEAU× - Well that's initial infection. I'm talking about over time. Through training and focus until it becomes secondnature... Look at the Lycans from Underworld. They could control themselves in their firm as well as shift back and forth. While they lacked the ability to speak they were obviously in complete control. The first Lycan of course couldn't control it as it was a pure blood. These are infected...so there's more of a chance. But yea initial infection is of course be uncomfortable. Silas obviously cannot control it as he's the original. These characters know so...during non full moon nights they could reach and even use the Hacketts under groun facilities to aid in restraining themselves after training during full moon nights. Seems far fetched but not impossible or improbable as there isn't any recorded instances if this happening. They all had varying skills except for Emma and Jacob. If they could bring Travis on board as he could be of assistance as well. He was abused by his family until he had Stockholm Syndrome. Of course this is if they fail to kill Silas and he ran off to parts unknown.
It's funny that noone thought if using their heightened senses while human to track Silas. Also bring Chris and Caleb who are just victims of both Silas and their parents abusive ways when it comes down it. Kill them as we'll as that Slingblade brother if theirs.. Who knows...we had multiple ending it isn't too far fetched.
@LlEUCU. BEAU× of course kill the Hacketts. If the brother's wouldn't assist them they have to die too. Laura was good source of information. Plus she fear out told them. Of course there's disbelief at first but i Until Dawn did it better despite me not liking the Wendigo design. I think that was a creative decision as the real design is too intricate and they probably had to stay under budget.
This is one of the few cases where I 100% would rather have the Hollywood/modern werewolf deprivation than old folklore. These werewolves were way too identical to the Wendeigos in Until Dawn. It just ruins the variety for me. Than on top of that horrific transformation, like a bloody vapor cloud. Everyone knows that American Werewolf in London is a modern depiction of transformations. But is arguably still one of the best, they should have used it as source material.
i just dont like how they call them werwolves when theyre actually lycans. i think lycans work better because its way scarier than wolves running around. i only wish the transformations were different, and there were more animalistic parts to them like having a hunched back because its easier for them to run on all fours which i think is much scarier when they look so human like.

When my emma turned she was acting like a huge bitch to abi
I think it's because Nick was portraying sort of a "nice guy act" and when you get to the core of a "nice guy" there's usually a very insecure jerk. And you can see with Jacob it was just pure insecurity when he transformed. So I agree with the theory that it's your inner emotion of being brought out.

Yeah! We'll totally be back."
(Dylan was told about the werewolf thing, if the character knew they realized they were not acting right)
But also Dylan was straight up the voice of the audience when he saw Nick's infection to be as bad as it was than later immediately call for his own hand to be removed when bitten.

His screams definitely made it seem like he could feel the infection, that something was wrong beyond the wound

Brenda Song and Dylan’s actor (sorry I don’t know his name) absolutely killed it in this game

I don't mind the design, what bothers me is the transformation, they explode? Wtf is that? And magically they still have shorts or whatever on? Lol
I'd just like to be able to see them better without going into a dark room and turning my brightness up
I didn't mind the design, but I was mainly pissed off because its just a reskin of the wendigo, which to me seems like such a sloppy way to go about it. I get reusing assets and such, but they didn't change anything big on it, they took the model and basically just reskinned it.

Kaitlyn's Eyes Are BEAUTIFUL 😍 When She's Infected
Can't argue with that. 😍💛
Good points
@emimia Exactly. The guy was clearly transforming, you could see it in his face. You can't ask for rationality from someone missing seconds to turn into a fierce beast hahaha
~~~making some corrections and additions to my previous comment:
-I noticed that many characters still maintain a certain "rationality" in the sense of warning their colleagues, for example, but if we are to notice all those who warned their colleagues knew what was going to happen, unlike Nick, who didn't know he was going to transform and he had no idea what had attacked him.
-another thing: I was wondering, if the curse, in addition to increasing the characters' anger, also increases the characters' defects, and according to the game's official website, Nick's biggest flaw is to build walls between him and people and not letting them in, this maybe means that when Nick was transforming, besides increasing his insecurity (during the game we can see that Nick is an insecure person too) with the girl he likes, the curse also made him want to put up walls between him and Abi, leading him to say those things to Abi, which if we pay attention during various details of the game (extra dialogues, messages from the game itself) are not in fact genuine, as the game has proven that he likes her at various times .
@emimia In fact, I recommend watching a video about all the response options in the kiss scene between Nick and Abigail. If you don't have the first kiss, they continue the dialogue and you can get to know a little more about the relationship between the two (and about what happened in the game of truth or dare) and you will find that Nick is a good guy and there is the option to kiss him again 😉 🥰
i see a lot of people in this comment section saying nick was always an asshole or jerk and that turning into a werewolf showed his true personality, and i’m here to tell you that isn’t true in the slightest. nick was the first one we saw transform, he was the first one in the friend group to get infected (if you take max out of the picture) and he didn’t know what was going on. nobody knew what was going on. nick just knew that he was in pain and didn’t feel good, he had no clue he was transforming into a beast. when you’re infected it does make you more hostile and i suppose “amplify” your emotions, but the reason nick was more “mean” was because he didn’t know he was turning so he was naturally more snappy because he didn’t think or know to fight off the aggression.
max is a good example too. he called laura a bitch in the jail cell before turning, but he didn’t mean that at all, just like how nick insulted abi but didn’t mean that either. the reason everyone else was seen as more calm was because they knew they were infected and turning into werewolves so they tried their best to fight it off. nick didn’t because he didn’t know. i’m sure if he knew, he would fight it off just like everyone else.
he isn’t naturally mean or a douchebag all along, he’s very sweet, it was just the transformation that did that. nick’s actor also confirmed on insta that the reason nick acted the way he did was all because of the infection and he’s not like that at all
For anyone who doesn't understand, the werewolf curse follows similar rules as vampires, in that if a werewolf is killed then all the people they infected lose the curse. The reason that Abigail never turns is because she can only be infected in chapter 3 by Kaylee who has a scripted death in chapter 5. This is why killing sylas at the end cures everyone, because it works like a tree passing down. Nick is infected by Caleb, who can't die until chapter 9 iirc.
Im not 100% but maybe theres a way to not cut dylans hand off after it gets bitten in the radio shack.
When dylan and ryan are in the radio shack dylan in bit. If u choose to not cut off his hand, he’ll turn
Adding on to the below reply because it's dependent - if you opt to break down the cabin door as Emma and Abi in the first chapter, the counselors outside the radio shack are able to hide in it more quickly when Dylan and Ryan warn them, thus evading Silas's notice. But this of course causes Silas to notice when Dylan is fixing the wire since he isn't preoccupied trying to get to the others, so he rips through and grabs Dylan's hand through the small hole in the roof and bites him. You then have the choice to amputate or not; not amputating results in him being infected.
So in the scenario shown in the video, if Kaitlyn doesn't do anything: She basically tells Dylan to run without shooting and Caleb eats him cause he hesitates. Then the normal chase scene starts
18:41 why did Travis go psycho and decide he wanted to kill them both? In my playthrough he wanted to forget it and go for silas? Any one know why it wasn't like that here?
It depends on how you treated Travis during the chapter in the prison. If you were cooperative and friendly toward him, he will decide to ask for your help to take down Silas. But if you were spiteful to him or if you choose to steal his gun and shoot him, then he will kill you.
Ofc he was scared but to still do that, wow. Then when the Werwolf was confused and sniffed at him he grabbed the gun of kaitlyn and then fired a shot to scare werewolf Emma away. I was so in awe after that scene cause it was so uncanny and impressive. Dylan is amazing.
They had Brenda song in the werewolf game and Ashley tisdale in the vampire one. There’s no relevance here I just found it funny
she was a bird person once.
Maybe they’ll get the Sprouse twins in a zombie one
@@davids8955 lol maybe it could be mosby as a zombie
I'm obsessed of how beautiful kaitlyn looks with the yellow eyes. It looks so damn good on her
20:12 Lol those subtitles 😂
*”(PAINED EXHALE AS SHE DIES)”*
I like how when most of the characters transform, they all start talking about their insecurities. Like when Nick asked Abi If she liked him, and when Jacob started yelling about Emma
0:50 Emma
4:08 Dylan
9:30 Kaitlyn
11:07 Nick
14:20 Max
17:44 laura
For dummies thinking Abby is somehow immune:
Abby serves as a "stealth tutorial" on how the infection and cure system works. The player isn't explicitly told what's going on, and the protagonists have no clue how infection works or even that werewolves exist until after Abby has been cured, but the player _could_ conceivably figure it out.
The werewolf who attacks Abby in Ch. 3 is Kaylee. Abby _can_ avoid infection here.
If infected, Abby finds that she has super strength allowing her to choke out Bobby (but not kill him.) This confuses everyone, including Abby, because they don't know about the infection system.
When Laura kills Kaylee, Abby's infection invisibly vanishes because she hadn't turned yet, and there is no opportunity to re-infect Abby later. This occurs before Nick turns, thus Abby isn't safe from Nick or (if applicable) Emma.
. . . . . . .
What _is_ an oversight, however, is that Travis says Caleb bit Chris, yet if Chris survives and Caleb does not, Chris is listed as still infected in the end credits.
It's a really unique design I love this instead of the classic anthropomorphic designs for werewolves😄🙏🏿
Nah man they're called werewolves, I wish they looked more like, yknow, wolves.
@@highdefinition450 True true but there a lot more terrifying the hairless skin the humanoid and yet animalistic features u can't argue that this isn't the most unique design of a werewolf🤔👉🏿
@@isaiahsimmons4414
They look more like Wendigos if they weren't emaciated, it's unique but it defo don't look like werewolves imo
Edit: Ah, wait they apparently are using the old folklore designs I see I see.
When my brother told me that they were werewolves I was surprised but I like the the design of them and I give them props for not making them more wolf like
@@alastortheworshipperofkhorne exactly I mean imagine if they made them look like traditional werewolves it would kind of be very lazy at least in my opinion I mean I'm good for the traditional werewolf looking movies and video games but it's always good to take a more unique design👌🏿
Maybe it's just me but I absolutely LOVE these werewolf designs, even though they're copies of each other they still look great
with a more wolf-like skull structure im sure this would look fantastic , and proper transformations rather than *boom werewolf*
Shedding human skin with a massive wave of blood is still a pretty hardcore transformation.
@@Fi_Sci_ true but it kinda look silly, looks like they just have one model for the werewolves so thats probably why they just explode into one and don't need to animate or make a new model
@@Fi_Sci_ it be hardcore if they showed some other change before hand because how it is now your telling me that the calves, ankels, feet, spine, and height all happened suddenly in 1.5 nano seconds
@@gman2570 I get what you mean. Personally it doesn’t bother me, and I’m willing to suspend my disbelief that the transformation moves so fast the human eye cannot perceive it.
@@Fi_Sci_ like... Ben 10?
Anyone who gets Dylan killed in their play through is crazy. That man is the ultimate clutch goat of the game
I love how jacob's trunks stayed on
Jacob is actually my favorite character, he was laid back and chilled. That's so me
Laid back and Chilled is more of Max and Dylan’s characters. Though I do like Jacob too, we have a love hate relationship
jacob decide to strand everyone because he is a man child who couldnt get over a break up with a girl who was selfish and didnt care about other peoples feelings and whined the entire game about her. he wasnt very laid back and chill. he didnt contribute at all to the survival of anyone either.
Isn’t it crazy how none of this would’ve happened if Jacob never took any of the car’s parts?💀
So basically (no offence) if Jacob had never broken the car in the first place, the curse of the Hackett family would have continued for more generations to come.
@@lome-_-lome7704 they were already infected before the summer camp, I remember Laura asked Travis “How long have you guys been looking for the cure to this” Travis said “For 6 fucking years”, Chris drove the car away to get himself away from the kids because he was infected, and that night it was a full moon (obviously), the Hackett family were pretty much looking to capture every werewolf until they found Silas, the very first wolf who caused all of this, who is also the son of the old lady who gets the Tarot cards from you in trade of a future event, she completely hates the Hacketts, even though she’s the cruel person who trapped her son in a cage, and all they did was try to save her son but Kaylee I believe was Chris daughter got infected and then the chain continued
@@lome-_-lome7704 in a nut shell, the Hacketts are the real saviors and always were, they just never spoke of their plan, and they were looking to save everyone of the curse, the Tarot Card lady is the main enemy throughout the game
@@trejuano I know that Kaylee wanted good for Silas by freeing him, but. The old lady is in the right because of what happened. They are the reason she's enraged, which is why the main villain in my opinion is Silas.
@@lome-_-lome7704 they said she mistreated Silas, so they thought they could save him, she didn’t treat him like a “son”
19:28 Shit is hitting the fan and Grandpa Hackett is just like: "Aight Imma head out."
I've always wondered if there was a way to remain conscious while transformed. To be able to control the Lycan form
Imagine how much of an advantage you'll have against the others and all the benefits of regeneration, heightened senses and increased physicality in human form.
likely immune to chronic diseases too, it's basically magic. the government would exploit the heck out of them, creating super soldiers and conducting all kinds of medical research
@LlEUCU. BEAU× - Well that's initial infection. I'm talking about over time. Through training and focus until it becomes secondnature...
Look at the Lycans from Underworld. They could control themselves in their firm as well as shift back and forth.
While they lacked the ability to speak they were obviously in complete control.
The first Lycan of course couldn't control it as it was a pure blood. These are infected...so there's more of a chance.
But yea initial infection is of course be uncomfortable. Silas obviously cannot control it as he's the original.
These characters know so...during non full moon nights they could reach and even use the Hacketts under groun facilities to aid in restraining themselves after training during full moon nights.
Seems far fetched but not impossible or improbable as there isn't any recorded instances if this happening.
They all had varying skills except for Emma and Jacob. If they could bring Travis on board as he could be of assistance as well. He was abused by his family until he had Stockholm Syndrome.
Of course this is if they fail to kill Silas and he ran off to parts unknown.
It's funny that noone thought if using their heightened senses while human to track Silas.
Also bring Chris and Caleb who are just victims of both Silas and their parents abusive ways when it comes down it.
Kill them as we'll as that Slingblade brother if theirs..
Who knows...we had multiple ending it isn't too far fetched.
@LlEUCU. BEAU× of course kill the Hacketts. If the brother's wouldn't assist them they have to die too.
Laura was good source of information. Plus she fear out told them. Of course there's disbelief at first but i
Until Dawn did it better despite me not liking the Wendigo design. I think that was a creative decision as the real design is too intricate and they probably had to stay under budget.
idc who disagrees with me nick’s transformation was the best
I somehow managed to kill of everyone during my playthrough without anyone but Nick becoming a werewolf
I'm the complete opposite of you with me somehow managing to have everyone alive with Nick being the only werewolf lol.
Oh... I only ever saw the peaceful Travis ending, I didn't know he could... snap like that. Wasn't expecting it.
and now they all get to stay at the camp together forever. Good job jacob !
I find it funny that people are complaining about being werewolves Being Hollywood's version of them with big muscles and fur
Well the designs are a copy of until dawns monsters I like the until dawn monsters way more because it’s actually scary and makes more sense
This is one of the few cases where I 100% would rather have the Hollywood/modern werewolf deprivation than old folklore. These werewolves were way too identical to the Wendeigos in Until Dawn. It just ruins the variety for me. Than on top of that horrific transformation, like a bloody vapor cloud. Everyone knows that American Werewolf in London is a modern depiction of transformations. But is arguably still one of the best, they should have used it as source material.
i just dont like how they call them werwolves when theyre actually lycans. i think lycans work better because its way scarier than wolves running around. i only wish the transformations were different, and there were more animalistic parts to them like having a hunched back because its easier for them to run on all fours which i think is much scarier when they look so human like.
@@peanutbutterjellyfish How are they lycans?
@@pogofgreed3707 the Lycans have less hair but are not bald and they look more human.
Imagine stealing a car part and having all your friends turn into werewolves nice one Jacob
I didn't realize all of these guys could transform, nice!
Bro that werewolf gave Bobby that 3 piece combo
Imagine getting impaled by a fucking gun after missing a shot- I'm looking at you ryan
