Hello! Great video! I have a question, is it true the the sound coming from the monitoring sounds bad? I've heard some people complaining about that! Thanks!

Thanks! Actually I‘ve had zero issues like that. Monitoring works just fine, both through the headphones output of the mic itself and routed through my Mac using Logic.

Deity VO-7U have some audio frames skipping/pops/cracks. Your video is also proof of that 5:42. My streams/vods also have that happening and I found another youtuber had also had cracks in Deity audio. To confirm the existance of hardware problem, try to monitor(listen to mic) audio from Deity in OBS and gain boost it very heavily so you can clealy hear white noise and just sit and wait, eventually, you will notice audio frame skips or pops (~happens once every 2-3 minutes or so). I have no idea how to fix this, other youtuber too. I tried troubleshooting myself and with other people in OBS discord, we couldn't figure out. If you want to have a troubleshooting chat with me (after you confirm the problem), contact me via twitter/discord.

Hey mate. I recently got this mic and I have an issue. Did you face the limiter issue? When I am less than 50% gain, the mic hit a limit and even though I have head room yet it'll sound like clipping. Do have any tip for that?

    • @MichaelEgglerFilms
      @MichaelEgglerFilms  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Man
Yes, that‘s the thing with this mic. If you‘re below 50% gain, then the limiter won‘t kick in. Just pump it over 50% and you should be good.

Hi Michael, I'm looking to get this so it's a helpful video. One question I haven't been able to find answered in reviews because of the need to edit fast is how sensitive is this to breathing noises? I want to livestream talking to camera but by Blue Yeti is too sensitive to every breath I take. 👮🏻‍♂️👮🏼

I personally haven‘t noticed anything. The arm also allows for different positioning of the mic, so you can control the angle better which should help.

Hi, I really need help to take my decision for buying my next and first real mic.
My space: No treated, lots of reflection points, background noise for sure and I use Sennheiser hd 599 (they are open back headphones).
The use: I'm a lead software developer that want to sound good in his online meetings and some webinars.
What I have listened to in reviews:
    - PreSonus Revelator Dynamic: It has a lot of base noise, is cardioid so it may take more ambient sound in too (this thought is ok?), I think i will not take advantage from the EQ-Suite they provide. When you silence the mic, it captures the sound of the click and people can hear that.
    - Deity VO-7U: It's a Super-cardioid mic, so I have no freedom of movement of my head, because it's very directional and I have to be in close proximity of it; I'm a guy that moves his hands when he talks. It's more aesthetically pleasing than the PreSonus (not because of the RGB ring).
    My conditions/options:
    1. I live in Spain, so, for buying the Deity VO-7U I have to pay import fees, which it takes it to 280 USD (Boom arm Kit).
    2. I can buy the none Boom arm kit in EU for 200 EUR -> 210 USD
    3. I can buy the Revelator Dynamic for 160 EUR -> 170 USD, this comes with no boom arm. Which I'll have to buy it separately.
    Considerations:
    - It will be the only mic I will buy (long term).
    - You can propose any other mic or correct me if I'm wrong with something I had written.
    So, ¿what should I do?
Thanks for reading and helping me out. Nice review!

      Hi
I haven‘t gotten my hands on the mic from PreSonus but from what I understand is that the main USP of this device is the software behind it. So if you‘re not taking advantage of the EQ-suite, then this kinda eliminates the advantage of the PreSonus.
I use the VO-7U for all my meetings, for my online seminars and occasional gaming sessions. Works like a charm and the feedback I got is great. So I can only recommend this mic🤙🏻

Great! And I found that for the same price I can get the Shure MV7, have you tried it?
I don't want to bother you anymore, but I would like to know your opinion. Because in USA it's more expensive the MV7 than the VO-7U.
      Thanks for answering!
      This is my last question.

@@juanpatriciodoyle4041 No problem, glad to help. I haven‘t tried that one either. Shure is a very well known brand for sure (no pun intended). I quickly checked out the mic and it appears to have an app/software as well which lets you dial in the mic to your needs. I think for most applications, one probably won‘t hear a huge difference between the MV7 and the VO-7U.
