This was my first game ever, I remember my parents offered me the playstation 2 lite for Christmas with this game, I really didn't expect to receive this gift nor having this game that I didn't know at this time. The day after Christmas, I was in my bedroom playing this game all day long. I really enjoyed it. That was a really good time of my childhood, thanks Sony ❤️

Happy 15th anniversary to Staff of Kings! Such an underrated game that includes music from the 4 main films, Young Indy, and its own OST.
I remember Christmas of 2009 and getting a wii with this game. Fun times
Remember falling in love with this game when I got it for my 13th birthday that year, right at the peak of my love for the movies. Now that there's been a new game announced for this year, it has me remembering just how amazing this one was for the time
Fun Fact: This Game was actually developed for the Xbox 360 and PS3 but they scarped those versions and did just the PS2 Wii and Nintendo DS versions instead
Apparently I think I figured out why the Xbox 360/PS3 versions were canceled. The developers of the game (Havok) was also developing "Star Wars The Force Unleashed" at the same time. Because of "time constraints" they canceled the Indiana Jones game so they can focus on The Force Unleashed.
The Wii version was deemed terrible due to it's poor motion control system.
The psp version was actually pretty cool
@@CMB-yf9sq I guess if they didn’t think about developing Force Unleashed then this game would’ve gotten positive reviews for the X360/PS3 Versions

This game is so underrated
20:14 as a kid playing this I remember there was so much you could do in this room. Break the fish tanks, pick up the pool cues, throw pool balls at the bad guys. That was a big deal back then

One thing about this game is that they would never shoot a machine gun inside a dirigible! That would be suicide! @2:48 Too bad the sound kept cutting out; especially in the end! It looks like it would be awkward to control the revolver... Thanks for the video!

@@ChaseMC215 The Wii remote uses the inferred detector which controls the pointer on the screen. It's an excellent substitute for a mouse.

2:48:44 as a kid i had this for the wii i managed to get up to here and could not for the life of me figure out how to control the crane to move piano, i was never able to finish the game because of it. I didint even realize i was that close to the end of the game

I remember reading in a 2005 Electronic Gaming Magazine when this game was still in development, about how advanced this game was, and how they hired whip experts to show the perfect whipping form to base their mechanics around, etc.
It seemed like impossible futuristic technology. Looking back at the actual game now, it’s so laughably mediocre and dated.
Those previews were probably referring to the Xbox 360/Playstation 3 versions that were cancelled. They would have had physics and animation similar to The Force Unleashed. All that got released were the simplified versions for less powerful platforms.

For me the hardest part of the entire game was the piano. The PS2 version controls perfectly fine, the Wii version is a "Nightmare!"

I wish I had this game on my Wii.
The Wii version is nearly identical, but it uses a LOT of motion controls. This is a double edged sword. On the one hand, it can be very immersive and fun when it works properly, but it’s extremely frustrating when it doesn’t.

Se criticaban por parte de algunos trols muchos juegos multiplataforma (o desarrollados con motores gráficos multiplataforma ) y luego ves detalles como esa parte del juego con los "reflejos" en el agua... Que en más de un juego exclusivo no se vieron o igual .(Otros mejores que este indi por ejmplo en las sombras)
Luego ves según qué juegos actuales ... Y vemos a un ...personaje delante de un espejo que se ve todo borroso o mal . Es culpa de estudio de desarrollo, no por falta de GPU s.. por que si en X juegos (actuales ) se ven . En el resto deberían . O que espabilen todos con cada motor gráfico.
