found a dell inspiron office tower on the side of the road with nothing wrong with it at all, 3rd gen i3 processor 8gb ram and a terabyte hardrive, I used it as a server for a while and then upgraded it to a cheap ssd and now I use it for web browsing in my home office
I once found an abandoned pc with an amd fx octa core and amd hd 7800 series gpu was missing ram cooler and psu fixed it up and works well as a office pc
Nicee..it's all about the little details that count. Crazy how Ssd are so cheap now. a year ago, 500gb, was my standard on builds about a year ago now, I'm doing no less than 1tb on my builds. Great stuff 👍
Nice, and a bargain as well. I would like to cut a plexiglass window in the side of my Optiplex, and maybe even add a little rgb, but that is above my pay grade.
I love PC's like this. They make it to where it doesn't really matter how much you pump into them, because it's pretty much going to be pure profit on a flip. My only complaints are that you could have gotten a 1TB PNY SSD at Best Buy for only a few dollars more, and you really should have used a ruler for the vinyl. I did like the idea of coloring in the VOSTRO on the side.
Very nice video! I would personally have put a white LED fan on the side intake to add a little bit of extra flashiness. I would have then taken off the front expansion bay covers wrap them from the front in white vinyl and then put them back so that the white additions carry through. Adding identical looking white stripes to the other side would also complete the look in my opinion
yeeeeeaaaah boy my comment got in the video)))) Really enjoyed that episode and I love your hand drawn titles and pictures, they really capture the spirit of this channel)) Btw you can tuck away your ssd Or just stick it to the chassis with double-sided tape cheap and neat Instead of using vinyl for litters I would go with paint marker, they are affordable and easier to use (no cutting involved) P.s. your voice is so nice and soothing (that was the deciding factor of me pushing subscribe button) Looking forward for new episodes)))
just saw part one today new to ur channel im like great now i gotta wait for part 2 excited but than on the list in the right top video was part 2 im like oh already and it shows 5 days ago im like perfect timing to find this guys channel
This is pretty good for a computer from back then. Its crazy how machines like this one that was or is in decent condition get put into landfills or nothin of value. I still got a laptop (i dont really use it, but I use it experiment different operating systems on) that has an Intel Celeron B820 (its horrible) and every now and then I still find use for it. I plan to switch it into a debian machine specifically for web browsing only to give to my nephews/niece. It wont be the greatest no, but it should be enough for someone that young.
Very good video! Although, I would've upgraded the cpu to an i7, and repaste the cpu, alongside dual channel 8gb ram and something a little more powerful like an rx 6400. Still, for basic use it looks very good! Great job :)
my daily driver is a dell optiplex 9010 i got for 100 bucks on ebay lol had 8gb of ram i upgraded it to the max 32gb of ram i mean thats pretty good when laptops still ship with 4gb or 8gb of ram new and then ur paying 400 to 500 for anything usable lol
No waste of money can get it back, sure starter computer for someone or your grandparents need to get with the rest of us ROFL a start them off with that system
This will make a great show-and-tell at the computer craft club!
All it needs is glitter glue and then it's... Perfect...
The vinyl was such a good idea. Really liked how the "Vostro" wording looked on the side. Keep it up man👍
Thank man, I really appreciate the support!
The letters were a really nice touch
Yeah I felt like it really made the whole case pop more.
very nice, excited to see where it all goes!
Me included, I have a few ideas. We will just have to wait and see I suppose!

Plexiglass isn't a bad idea. Maybe I will work something like that into the finale if I get to it. Glad you enjoyed the video!
That pc is great consider that it can run tf2 smoothly👍

would the motherboard support that CPU?
It isn't too late for a upgrade, I'll look into seeing what I can do.
