    Thank you for the lovely tour. I have always loved this kind of store. My parents had to pry me out of them, I would stay all day just marveling and looking. I haven't changed since. Oh the lessons you learn.

    My daughter works for US Post.. Didn't early post offices resemble a grand railroad station once? (except pony express stops 😄)..but that postal piece tells you it was a grand place in major cities. Wow.. I love that and the marble woman with a big dog or lion? ..and just so many pieces..👍💕 I'll know where to buy interesting stuff for a grand house! 😄

    I was particularly interested to see the long case/grandfather clock as we have a similar one made for my paternal grandmother's side of the family in the 18th century. It's one of the few remaining pieces of what my brother and I used to call "grandma's old tat" when we were kids. Young teens have no soul!
