Hey you say get back to sea. I from N.Y. do heavy construction for a living. Weld touch cut all that . I have a burning desire to work on ship. Cargo, tug, how do u get started onto working on ships? Thx
Outstanding .. I am from Cape Town act saw the tug on the fuel jetty. Awesome to see what act happened with her.... Must have been a legendary trip and sure you know all the crews life stories :-)..... Thanks For the video.
its a dated vessel nothing impressive. week thrusters..ehhh.. I was onboard the vessel last 2018 and the sister ship on 2019 -2021..its just for towing mainly.. no gym. accommodation is nothing compared to Norwegian offshore vessels.
Didn't realize the shear size of the boat until the end... WOW that's impressive 👍🤙... Thanks for sharing your video... and remember..."safety first"...
Guys, for those who are complaining about my music choice, I'm sorry for that but I am just a Tugboat officer and not a professional video maker. If you would like to hear the engines of this tug, please check out the video called: Starting a main engine of the FM Glacier. It's without any music and you will only hear the norse of machinery. All the best
In all honesty that harsh music detracts from the video. My recommendation if you are at least interested in improving your skills and increasing your subscribers is not into stick a music track over the ambient sounds. It is much more interesting to listen to just the sounds of the ship which is very important aspect of the video experience.
Great video! I deck on a towboat, working inland waterways in the US, but considering getting my MMC to hire on as an AB with a blue water outfit. I spent some time on a container ship when I was in the Marine Corp, and I loved it. I miss the sea!
Recently I followed the Fairmount Glacier accompanying the Hawk carrying the Transocean Winner to Aliaga in Turkey. They did not take the same route as the Hawk travelled below Crete while the Glacier did not. They seem to meet at Aliaga were the Glacier paced the area around Aliaga for some time. Then it went back to Malta and I saw it entering the Grand Harbour to the most inner part at Marsa which is now rented for the oil industry use . It was a spectacular sight seeing it from St Elemo at Valletta on my little 70 cc motorcycle. I beat it all the way to Marsa! even though I do not have the same bollard pull! Seems to be a powerful tug though I never saw it travel at more than 11 knots. At the moment it is on Hurds bank in Malta where a long time ago we fished for deep fish. At the moment it is surrounded by many other ships anchored there offshore. Brings back nice memories of my youth.
My family is sea-going people, very nice video, a beautiful ship and quite an adventure it seems! Cheers! Edit> And yes the music is sort of meh, much rather have a narration from the person there. Just a thought.
Damm good video! Thanks for taking the time to put it all together. Keep the music on, it's way better than hearing the engines and the wind. After years on tugboats, I can tell you that I would rather not hear the engines when I'm off my tug.
my father was a navy fleet tug sailor in the early 60's. During his 20 years in the navy, and serving on other ships. He never really felt like a sailor like he did on the USS SIOUX.
+Garundi P. McGrundy Thanks! good to hear. I'm now onboard of another tugboat, the 'ALP Winger'. When I'm home I will make also a video about the sailing trip with this tug. Stay tuned!
John Bernard When you would like to become a Sailor on a seagoing vessel, you need first to get alot of certificates. They test if you are suitable and in good condition to be able to sail.
I need to work for these companies. This pisses me off big time and I have never tried my hand at competitive shooting but could probably do pretty well and would love the opportunity to eliminate these f'n scumbags that try to pirate a ship and would likely desire less than half what the current security gets paid!! I am a USMC trained "Rifle Expert". I was a great shot prior to my entry into the military and an even better one after boot camp, which was very long ago. The last time I went to an indoor range I used a Bersa Thunder .380 and a Lorcin (now gone) chrome plated .380, backed the target up as far as it could go-indoor range, I think the max distance was 50' or 50 yards, then picked a spot on the target (Silhouette), on the upper right side. I exhausted 7 rounds and I brought back a target with a hole a bit smaller than a U.S. "quarter Dollar". I have some significant disabilities and have been repeatedly denied disability benefits but, if what I have seen is even minimally accurate, then I might be able to offer you some great service and at a fraction of what other professionals get paid. Please let me know if you may be interested in my services and what I may need to do to provoke you into incorporating my abilities. I noticed that some men have recently been "kidnapped" by scumbags from the prime areas for piracy and would love a chance at deterring that kind of desire or consideration! I don't know that I could help or not but I'd love to be given the opportunity to try! Thanks so much for any consideration. Thom McHugh
Gr Jan
The angle of photography leaves a lot to desire, why so much deck water show, and then the chain dropping a few ling. what purpose, the cabling being spooled would have a description. Overhall, not a bad video, Editing is a must.
Nice video, it sparked a burning need to get back to sea. Thank you!

Really enjoyed watching this with my 4yr old son. He loves tugboats and this was really cool. Thanks!
As a man of the sea myself... I say screw those who don't like the music... and Damn great video. There's nothing that can take place of the sea.
Outstanding .. I am from Cape Town act saw the tug on the fuel jetty. Awesome to see what act happened with her.... Must have been a legendary trip and sure you know all the crews life stories :-)..... Thanks For the video.
I liked this video and even though I expected something different, found it very
relaxing. Great to see clear seas. Subscribed.
Nice video man! Thank you for letting us into your world!!
ThaOlBoy your welcome
She’s a small ship to be doing anchor clanker operations.
Nice vid, enjoyed watching.
He certainly like taking pictures of the floor
I was hoping to see footage of the bridge, crew accommodations, galley, etc. I did enjoy it. Thanks.

Always had a soft spot for tugboats
Great footage and well put together.
Thanks man! Appreciate your comment
Anchor handling. One of the hardest jobs!! I love it!
Very nice video. Nice experience with a tug boat..Wow!

Plus it's easy to mute and listen to something else :)

Do you mute movies or documentaries as well?
I actually like the music in the video, after a while on a tugboat you get used to the sound of the engine
I thought the music was great
Wow great awesome video thanks for the upload
Always liked tugboats👍
Wow such nice video

What does this video have to do with 'life onboard a tugboat'?? I see images of the ship, but no details of what it is like for the crew.
ABs are retards.
They make videos like this all the time.
it's a tugboat, what did you expect?
My family is sea-going people, very nice video, a beautiful ship and quite an adventure it seems! Cheers!
Edit> And yes the music is sort of meh, much rather have a narration from the person there. Just a thought.
Wow the colors really pop in this video
These ocean tugs are incredible boats- fast, capable of towing large vessels across any ocean while turning on a dime.
Damm good video! Thanks for taking the time to put it all together. Keep the music on, it's way better than hearing the engines and the wind. After years on tugboats, I can tell you that I would rather not hear the engines when I'm off my tug.
Hey Alex, good to hear from you mate. Thanks for your comment.
you must be a total idiot
Pretty good video mate !!
nice ship.

Thank you for sharing your story Joy.
EXCELLENT PRESENTATION. Thank you for sharing.
I really appreciated this video. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Would have loved to see what life is like inside the Tug for 6 months.
CDH Shame I did not record it, but it was a great time, great tug.
I'm 50 and looking for a new job, how would I get into this profession?
I'm in California.
Check out a forum called gcaptain. Lots of information on maritime employment.
Love this Video!!! Keep making them!!
great video, always thought about working on a ship when I was younger, but went to work on locomotives instead.
Beautiful and slightly terrifying at the same time. The power of the ocean. Scary.
Thanks for commenting! :)
I happen to like that music. kind of goes with the ocean.
Who sings this song
This video is the coolest. Can't seem to find anymore like it!
+Garundi P. McGrundy Thanks! good to hear. I'm now onboard of another tugboat, the 'ALP Winger'. When I'm home I will make also a video about the sailing trip with this tug. Stay tuned!

Hello, can i ask this company?
Up to you
@@JanDootjes 🙏
I'm a mechanic trying to land a job as a deckhand on tugboats. is there any certifications that will help me get hired?
John Bernard When you would like to become a Sailor on a seagoing vessel, you need first to get alot of certificates. They test if you are suitable and in good condition to be able to sail.
That vessel is actually an AHTS..Anchor Handling Towing Supply Vessel
That is right, it is not a tug
0:30 is the proof that ships can go through land.

what does that have to do with anything related to this video Moron
How much money did you make?
7:13 Hope you were lucky enough to get supplies after that fiasco.
That was funny as shit, when the supply boat rammed the ship. it's like a mosquito bite in comparison, when it bumped the ship.
I'm a maintenance tech for a chemical company in Kentucky id love to be on the ocean where do you put in a app.
Greetings from cold Finland. Did you find mermaid? all the best
Lõdva Ranne No, didn't find one. Greetings from Holland👍🏻
What is the title of the music
Where I'm from
Watching paint dry has more context
go read a book focus on yourself and stop the BS
Hey what is the breaking strain of 76mm (3" for the yanks) tow cable?
Great video BTW.
Nice video.
How long did you board on offshore vessel?
I work un campeche oil field .un big ocean TUGS.from LA. TX. Tampico tuxpan coatzacoalcos dos bocas campeche. Rouge job hard boys.
Was very surprised trinidad was here #triniforlife
Waht life on board?
No rice
This is a Rig Supply Vessel not really a Tug..
It's an ocean going tug, believe me
I don't know why people are hating on the music I love it
Telling us about it would be much more interesting than the damn music.
So...do i want to work on a supply boat or tugboat?? Someone help me
That things really underpowered for its size
so wherei THE life onboard?
Good vid, If I was young again
I'd ship out.
Was dit voor je marof stage? Twijfel n beetje of offshore wat voor me is want wil ook graag wat van de wereld zien. T lijkt alsof je veel op zee zit

So what's life like on a tugboat? Caribbean Ocean? I hope you're not the navigator.
There's no oil rigs in the Caribbean. Theres rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. This vessel is a anchor handling supple vessel.
Hi.. Could you give me the name of the tug boat company.. I'm interest to work on ship especially in Europa..i'm indonesian.
Really nice video, and I liked the music score :)
luminousstrawberries ol telugumoovi ?
Nice 👍🏾
ship sim 2008, except its the glacier not the sherpa
I like the music - I HATE that it ruined this video!
TUGLIFE 4rm Cape Town🤙⛓

First off, thanks for your subscription. And I'm aware that I didn't made this vid perfect, sorry for that.
Nice one my brother.. I am a deck cadet on board tug...I need a mentor in my profession... Thank you all.
nice vid sir
Ah Oceans, my love!!
Oh man. Sea sick.
Just WHAT did I just see? I didn't see any "life on a tugboat".
Nice job. Fuck the haters!
Jan goede keuze muziek man !!!
This vessel would be useless in the North Sea. Underpowered.
Tug? Looks more like anchor handler
You are right, it is not a tug, it is AHTS
Floor, floor and more floor.
Very nice video! Good music. At what speed you were towing at 2:45? Looks pretty fast to me.
BTW its the carribean SEA
I dont think you would call this a tug boat it seems like more of a supply boat that makes trips to oil rigs
I worked on them, they can do cargo runs to oil rigs, but she's designed to do long distance tow job.
Told me nothing. I wanted to know what life was like on board, in the cabins, the galley, the engine room.
Graham Bentley For the engine room, please check my other video. Cabin and galley was not that spectaculair actually😉
Музыка хорошо подобрана.)))
Anchor Handling.
You make fi fi bows at 4:58
Video fine 👍 Music fine 👌 Ship fine 😛 Sea fine 💋 Everything fine 👏
