Guys, regarding the dove descending on Christ at his baptism: I always thought that symbolized the cheapest sacrifice in the temple at that time - the dove/pigeon. "The poor man's sacrifice, available for all'. And this also symbolized that from this new covenant, the Holy Spirit would be available for all, free of charge. Is this just coincidental (am I full of it)? BTW, I learned of Dr. Keener from your channel and I'm almost done with his book on miracles. Can't wait to go thru this series on Mark. It's plain to see that he is totally sold out for the Lord. You guys are absolutely legit!

"Kingdom of God" is the wise, benevolent rule of God through human beings, on His terms, over creation; it was compromised in the Fall, and is restored by Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension, and Spirit-wrought faith-union with the glorified Christ. Man is enabled once again to exercise godly dominion. Gen. 1:28; Ps. 8; Eph. 2:1-10; Heb. 2:5-9

Yes, all in one brain! I had him in seminary, and he would have his students read passages from the New Testament, and he would-off the cuff, from memory-give chapter and verse. It is widely held that Dr. Keener has a photographic memory, but he loves Jesus even more with his heart. What a dear brother!

Man, I love Keener and respect him so much. But I've tried watching this video on 3 seperate occasions and can't focus on anything but that noise.
