I love this video! I have a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL 55 AMG. So, I understand how you can love a car, but still hate some aspects of the same car. Mine is even older than your car, so you know there are some really annoying features about my car. The main thing with my car is that 5.4 liter, hand built, supercharged V8 engine. It's one of the most reliable engines AMG ever built. When I am able to let that engine stretch its legs, dayum ... Ok, enjoyed your video, best of life to you and your family! Love my CL63, on the 2011-2014 they updated the Bluetooth phone but didnt update any bluetooth streaming. I bought a $20 moster bluetooth plug and play. The 2011-14 is biturbo 5.5l so its better on gas.

Great video loved that acceleration action in the tunnel, I can see how intense the torque is on the NA 63! I currently live in South East Asia where a 07 Cl63 with 80,000miles can cost $120k, but I’m from Japan where I own a 2012 E550 wagon. Thankfully the Bluetooth function on that car is incredibly user friendly. It connects the second I press the start button, pauses and also fast forward and reverse songs. Even though the nav system is really advanced and updates me on real-time traffic, construction and closed roads I still prefer to use my phone for nav!

Cars depreciate as much if not more than the US, but Japanese people dont really like to buy second hand cars and also with a crapton of taxes (car ownership tax, road tax, engine size tax, weight tax, 2 year inspection) and high gas prices people just dont buy used so most cases cars get exported overseas. Thailand (where i currently live) Small japanese hatchbacks with 1.5litre engines are popular. There are luxury cars but all are 2litre Benz C,E BMW 3,5's for 150-200k. If you own a V6 porsche cayenne or a 2005 porsche boxter here you can park in the supercar section of the parking lot lol.
Had a 02 cl500 and I loved it. Too bad the suspension went and power steering also.wish I can afford another one. Though it was old, I still got tons of complements.

Hey man, beautiful car! There is an apple carplay lay-over available for the original Mercedes UI which is compatible with interior of the car. It’s about 600 euros/dollars for the system alone. But definitely worth it for the problems you describe. Thanks for the vid!! 🇳🇱💪

U need to get a aux to Bluetooth adapter or go to a shop to install a optical splice into the dvd player and install a Bluetooth dac which is the best sound quality u can get
thats whats up, Itsthebenzman was a big resource for me and he's rocking the 550 just got wrapped candy red!!! If you're one for speed and looking 550 be sure to get refresh at least so you get bi-turbo... if your talking NA 550 you wouldn't be able to get near the power of the 63 with a tune (at least what I've found). Even the the NA 63 tuned is only gonna get 35-45hp bump... pay a bit more for the 12 and later but for that tune power bi-turbo has the real options... good luck bro, would love to see it!!!

Nice video. Thank you. Just wait until the head bolts snap off and you're dropping $6,500 on something you can't even see. Go ahead and have them replace the tappets while the have the top end of the engine torn apart. Those will eventually fail too and they'll ruin your cam shafts. Might as well replace the fuel injectors too before they hydrolock your engine. Aside from those things, it's an awesome car. These issues were fixed in late 2010 models if you still want the 6.2 liter.

@@e2rdauto Hey man, Yeah, I've owned an E63 before that had all of the above. When it was all said and done it was still a sweet car. I miss it to this day. You just have to go in assuming that either you plan on doing all of those corrections or just driving it until it hydrolocks or fails to start because the tappets lock up. Those items are a fantastic negotiating terms though, if you're buying one from someone else. Especially a dealer. They will never fix it prior to a sale if they don't have to. The parts aren't actually that expensive if you can do it yourself but it's scary tearing down the top end of a $55,000 engine. ...and I didn't mention the air ride suspension...that will fail too :/ After you fix those items it's basically bulletproof from then on. The bottom end of the engine and the transmission are super tough. You can swap out all of the air ride for normal suspension for about $1,500 and it will never give you any more problems. For God's sake, don't replace any air struts - ever.

@@e2rdauto My E63 was rear-ended and totaled. I needed something bigger for the fam so I tried something new for me and got an Audi Q7 Prestige. It's been a great ride so far. The infotainment system is a bit clunky but most German rides take some getting used to. I do the maintenance on all of my vehicles and I'll say that Audi has no fear of using every single type of fastener known to man. That'a little frustrating.

I sell and make rims and have had many Mercedes. You shouldn't have any shake, you probably have a bent rim. You should also be using Forged rims not a cheap cast wheel. If you want a custom forged rim built for your car for a deal message me.

this is true... i think the pre-face lift was more aggressive and that NA engine sound can't be topped... but the tuneability of that m157 is a hell of an upgrade!

I'm eyeing that 65 for sure but not this generation... that engine wasn't refined to reduce that maint cost! the new 17-20 models made it so you don't have to replace entire banks of parts just for 1 or two cylinders... but them turbo's and tunability, and plus a convertible option, so yea its on my hit list! but i still her the 63's are always faster tho so there's that to keep in mind...good shit bro
Still loving it to this day... bought her 76k, now shes 155k... plenty of smiles per gallon and wouldn't trade her... looking to get her wrapped and a 2.0 for her looks, and another car for the garage

The car is 10 years old so what do you expect with your blue tooth issues. 20" dished alloys and lower the ride a little, that would make for one sick ride! Your wheels don't look 22" coz it sit's to high. You don't buy an AMG and bitch about fuel cost's. Stop moaning as they won't be around for long....not in the UK anyway! Its so bitter sweet, she's AMG's 1st engine so its a RACE GOD still used today in the SLS... and b/c they know their shit there ain't much more to squeeze out of her w/o spending more then the car is worth and risking it all on a high mileage/maintenance platform :( ... I've decided to keep her even as the collection grows as big NA is from an era not to return... want to either build or swap her with a M159 and then possibly boost... yea, they are no kind of investment at the moment, just have to calc the ROI on the smiles per gallon!!! of course when combustion is gone i'm sure they'll fetch a premium if thats your end game... thx for sharing your passion, i'd love to hear/see when you get your next!!! make sure she's a solid one and take the leap, can't take the cash with you
@Blair Calaway :O "1995 BMW 840ci" NOIYCE!!! much respect sir, this car taught me that DOPETASTIC cars are still DOPETASTIC even when you whip them a decade later ;) by those taste I can tell you'll love this whip and wont regret it!!! the tech and premium status oozes from these cars... you're right to have caution on the v12, but only for the reg maintenance cost... otherwise, its a safe bet as long as you due your diligence to find one well maintained and ideally serviced before you buy it if high miles... Its a solid platform from all my research and they've stuck with it for almost 2 decades with only minor revisions instead of replacing... fun fact, in 2012 MB sold the rights to AMG it was so solid... they revised for emissions and its still the same used today... if MB & AMG trust em for going into 3 decades they get my vote!!! I'm getting one in the S65 coupe cabriolet... once that depreciation curve is ripe for the taking ; ) I'd consider trading my 63 for it if it wasn't the last of the NA 6.2l and all that new glorious tech and best interior of the car industry they're rocking right now in the new body... gonna have some fun with a weistec stg4 M157 in the 15 CLS63 1st, but best believe I'm dying to mod and tune that v12 b-turbo powerhouse, and hear one straight piped since thats so rare for the owner demo typically for 65's :) keep me posted when you pick yours up!!! thx for the love and engaging

Nice video. Thank you. Just wait until the head bolts snap off and you're dropping $6,500 on something you can't even see. Go ahead and have them replace the tappets while the have the top end of the engine torn apart. Those will eventually fail too and they'll ruin your cam shafts. Might as well replace the fuel injectors too before they hydrolock your engine. Aside from those things, it's an awesome car. These issues were fixed in late 2010 models if you still want the 6.2 liter.

@@e2rdauto Hey man, Yeah, I've owned an E63 before that had all of the above. When it was all said and done it was still a sweet car. I miss it to this day. You just have to go in assuming that either you plan on doing all of those corrections or just driving it until it hydrolocks or fails to start because the tappets lock up. Those items are a fantastic negotiating terms though, if you're buying one from someone else. Especially a dealer. They will never fix it prior to a sale if they don't have to. The parts aren't actually that expensive if you can do it yourself but it's scary tearing down the top end of a $55,000 engine. ...and I didn't mention the air ride suspension...that will fail too :/ After you fix those items it's basically bulletproof from then on. The bottom end of the engine and the transmission are super tough. You can swap out all of the air ride for normal suspension for about $1,500 and it will never give you any more problems. For God's sake, don't replace any air struts - ever.

@@e2rdauto My E63 was rear-ended and totaled. I needed something bigger for the fam so I tried something new for me and got an Audi Q7 Prestige. It's been a great ride so far. The infotainment system is a bit clunky but most German rides take some getting used to. I do the maintenance on all of my vehicles and I'll say that Audi has no fear of using every single type of fastener known to man. That'a little frustrating.

I sell and make rims and have had many Mercedes. You shouldn't have any shake, you probably have a bent rim. You should also be using Forged rims not a cheap cast wheel. If you want a custom forged rim built for your car for a deal message me.

this is true... i think the pre-face lift was more aggressive and that NA engine sound can't be topped... but the tuneability of that m157 is a hell of an upgrade!
6th thing you hate (if you're honest): It's short 4 cylinders and 2 turbos. Enjoy mang just razzin' 😁😁.

I'm eyeing that 65 for sure but not this generation... that engine wasn't refined to reduce that maint cost! the new 17-20 models made it so you don't have to replace entire banks of parts just for 1 or two cylinders... but them turbo's and tunability, and plus a convertible option, so yea its on my hit list! but i still her the 63's are always faster tho so there's that to keep in mind...good shit bro

Still loving it to this day... bought her 76k, now shes 155k... plenty of smiles per gallon and wouldn't trade her... looking to get her wrapped and a 2.0 for her looks, and another car for the garage

The car is 10 years old so what do you expect with your blue tooth issues. 20" dished alloys and lower the ride a little, that would make for one sick ride! Your wheels don't look 22" coz it sit's to high. You don't buy an AMG and bitch about fuel cost's. Stop moaning as they won't be around for long....not in the UK anyway! Looking around.....none are selling and prices dropping like crazy. We pay far to much in Road Tax and fuel probably 4 times more expensive then yours? Hence the comment about fuel costs. I'm a little nervous about spending money on one as I no I'm going to loose Thousands!

Its so bitter sweet, she's AMG's 1st engine so its a RACE GOD still used today in the SLS... and b/c they know their shit there ain't much more to squeeze out of her w/o spending more then the car is worth and risking it all on a high mileage/maintenance platform :( ... I've decided to keep her even as the collection grows as big NA is from an era not to return... want to either build or swap her with a M159 and then possibly boost... yea, they are no kind of investment at the moment, just have to calc the ROI on the smiles per gallon!!! of course when combustion is gone i'm sure they'll fetch a premium if thats your end game... thx for sharing your passion, i'd love to hear/see when you get your next!!! make sure she's a solid one and take the leap, can't take the cash with you
@Blair Calaway :O "1995 BMW 840ci" NOIYCE!!! much respect sir, this car taught me that DOPETASTIC cars are still DOPETASTIC even when you whip them a decade later ;) by those taste I can tell you'll love this whip and wont regret it!!! the tech and premium status oozes from these cars... you're right to have caution on the v12, but only for the reg maintenance cost... otherwise, its a safe bet as long as you due your diligence to find one well maintained and ideally serviced before you buy it if high miles... Its a solid platform from all my research and they've stuck with it for almost 2 decades with only minor revisions instead of replacing... fun fact, in 2012 MB sold the rights to AMG it was so solid... they revised for emissions and its still the same used today... if MB & AMG trust em for going into 3 decades they get my vote!!! I'm getting one in the S65 coupe cabriolet... once that depreciation curve is ripe for the taking ; ) I'd consider trading my 63 for it if it wasn't the last of the NA 6.2l and all that new glorious tech and best interior of the car industry they're rocking right now in the new body... gonna have some fun with a weistec stg4 M157 in the 15 CLS63 1st, but best believe I'm dying to mod and tune that v12 b-turbo powerhouse, and hear one straight piped since thats so rare for the owner demo typically for 65's :) keep me posted when you pick yours up!!! thx for the love and engaging
