Nearly happened to me at Rite-Aid. Stores have such vast inventories, Loss Prevention "approaches" as suspect, customers browsing thru the entire store, aisle by aisle.
I get their point, but still resent it, you know?
I've never known about this. I hate that they trespassed you from the store but I'm glad that you got the previous penny haul that you did. You are the master 🙌🏻. Hold them to their words. It's despicable for them to try to change the rules on you because they were lazy and shady. I hope you get every penny deal you find. Best of luck and I hope all of the shady employees are fired.

I've worked retail and if a customer brings something to the register, and it rings up at a lower price, we gave it to them for that price. Customer is always right ! I'm so sorry they put you through that ! Thankfully the Officer was so nice and polite.
It's not coming out of their pockets, so why do the employees put up a fight. Just do your job. It's the Dollar Store. It's not that serious!

I got lucky and found a full Pampers swim display in one store
I do not like these people. I dumpster dive and I got 18 bags of winter items I gave some to my family 11 members. Gave some to a thrift store. They ear cheep and really help people Witt there household bills. The rest I gave to a homeless shelter and a Church. I spent a week going to these places when this store could have instead of throwing brand new boots ,socks,hats and gloves, slippers, Mena and lady's underwear shoes .They called the poo on me and the nice policeman told them what's in my car is mine and to stop harassing me. A worker said I could have it. The manager tried to take it out of my car. While filming I begged her to. The police told her she would go to jail for breaking and entering and theft. What a great day for all of the people I helpef.

Dg employee here- I make WAY more than $10 an hour and the way you worded your comment makes it sound like you’re better than those people, you’re not.
A lot of us don’t care about the penny shopping. As for myself, it helps us out bc it clears inventory out that we haven’t been able to get to. I have seen workers at other stores treat inventory like it’s their own, and get what I can only think to be as jealousy they didn’t find it first- HOWEVER- it’s actually against our policy for employees to buy anything that is a penny as it’s grounds for termination. As long as my line isn’t crazy long, I don’t mind waiting for the customer to go grab the remaining penny stuff if they happen to come across one without realizing. Not everyone has a bad attitude who is employed at DG. If you come across someone who does, do what you feel you need to do, but please don’t degrade someone bc they work at a place you feel you’re too good for.

This is why I don't go into these type of stores. I used to coupon, I haven't used a coupon in ages, but I refuse to do regular business to the stores that would give me a hard time with their policy. Most stores have a coupon policy, but why even have a coupon policy if your policy says "at manager's discretion",... ahem, Target? It's like these places like to hire miserable people to spread misery.

They tried to be little me and embarrass me , talk about me behind my back but i came back over and over again cause some of the employees that worked there were really nice now i have not problems and the ones that tried to do that to me r gone

Chile they be wearing swimming trunks, back out dresses, flip flops, and all. Ppl always think I work there before the actual employees. So I end up helping and answering the customers questions. If you watch my videos, people are always asking me where something is located.

Getting the pennies shows their not doing their job in their eyes. Being able to purchase penny items as in the DG handbook rules shows corporate if they are doing their job. Find a penny no bonus probably.
Exactly right! I was assistant manager at DG for a year and a half recently and that's exactly what it shows corporate that the Manager is not doing her job. They are given the penny list the day before it pennies out and they are supposed to pull the items and send back to corporate.
I will never understand these employees talking about they "cant sell pennies". Child cheese. Your job is more in jeopardy by being ignorant, calling the cops, and refusing to sell. Listening to a DM or whomever gone cost them their job.
Actually if they would have done there job she would never have found the penny items in the first place. Since she did find them they have to sell them to her UNLESS it's a food item and it's out of date. Then they don't have to.

I got banned from my whole district for using coupons from multiple accounts I was told it is considered frequent coupons and I don't even know when the district ends or where a different one is lol
Basically it only shows that they are not doing their job in the store because it shouldn't be that many penny items on the floor. She didn't do her job, so when you and the other .01 shoppers came in she had to lie. If they changed the policy it would say something different and we all clearly know what it still says 😂 so she's going to trespass ALL .01 shoppers? We do remind them to do their jobs 😂 so they run to pull stuff.

I've had problems with DG, but if I generally just document my problems and contact their office. I've had problems with sales, or in one case, it was a coupon that DG sent me. Don't know what it is, but considering that their prices are not accurate. The store by me seems to always lack personnel.

Apparently the district manager told her to do this. I am not positive on this yet. But I believe so, because this particular DM was screwing another manager that didn't like me, and he never liked me ever since she had an issue with me. And he's met me once and I was kind to him then. Nevertheless he always sides with his employees so I go to the regional manager so that there isn't anyone being biased. Never had an issue with the regional manager so far.

I went to a Follar General a couple of years ago and I got a few penny items and the cashier asked me where I git them from and said to the other lady you were supposed to remove these. I don't understand why they do this if these items are ringing up for that cost. I no longer try 2 participate in the penny items hassle because I don't want and/need the aggravation.

On another note...there was a hate crime shooting in my city in September last year, and they just opened the store back up this month. Ever since this shooting happened, i havenot been penny shopping. I have run in for something quick, but not spent hours in the store like i used to. Most ofthese stores allow peddlers to hang out side and beg for loose chane. I complain to the store manager and corporate everytime. Sorry this is so long, but if Dollar General wants to pop up stores in myarea, they damn sure better do US right. ✌️
