- Check out this HILARIOUS video of people reacting to our street legal golf cart! We adjust the valves on the Predator 420cc engine, and go to a local fast food drive through and auto parts store to see people react to a golf cart on the street! These reactions were absolutely hilarious! I rode along on my 1974 Honda CT70, and had a few problems along the way.

What about doing a super quiet muffler and a butterfly valve to open it up to a strait header like some drag cars have for stealth or drag strip

question on how come you didn't mount the turn signal switch on the steering just would have needed to drill the hole and run the wire? just a curious thought I had.

Fix steering. Add speedometer. A truck bed with tie down points and a spare tire. Aaannnd maybe a small 200 shot of nitrous. Lol

CT 70 is probly running lean will start but once the engine is hot the fuel gets vaporized befor it get to the cylender
You can tell by the coloration in the head pipe that it's running lean. Not sure if they are running that race fuel in it or not but I would try it on good old 93 and see if it makes a difference, if not then drill the main jet.
Race fuels are typically high ethanol content. If the carb is jetted for straight gas it will definitely run lean. Headers and pods will lean it out considerably too even on pump gas.
Exactly my thought. It’s running hot. If anything, make a heat shield around the exhaust to block some of the heat away from the carb.

Could be electrical...if the lights are dim...hasn't been charged 8n a while...battery may not be charging ...causing it to die out...
John,sir, the ct 70 uses an internal filter(in tank). By adding an in line filter, low fuel levels will cause intermittent stalling. Make sure tank vent is clear. Also connect the yellow and white charging wires together for full time charging. Had the same issue when I converted to 125cc in my ct peace
You need a cool gas tank cover/cup holder for the golf cart.
Maybe with a magnetic base to hold it in place.

Im pretty sure the problem with the Honda is the breather cap on the gas tank.

it doesnt need a fuel filter...no dirt bike does especially when you consider its GRAVITY FEED

I just wish y'all had a roll bar.. being strapped in like that scares me. think I'd rather be ejected than crushed.. be safe guys, lots of people out there look up to the both of you!! I know, I know, it'll be fine, but no one thought the mower would flip and i still trust that build a little more! :P anyway have a great day!
yeah i wish they would build a rollbar. its not hard/expensive to build and it saves lives. its not even going to look ugly i think it would look nice.
That's why you don't wear the belt so it don't crush you in a roll over because that happened to me in middle school. Me and a friend put a yz 250 motor in his old golf cart with the truck bed, and we were out Tokyo drifting the golf cart and it come up on two wheels and flipped and crushed my buddy's foot and broke it and it crushed me under it and had to be picked up of of me. Luckily I didn't get a scratch on me. Was just bruised up badly. Was black and yellow from head to toe.. so just be ready to jump out that mother!!!!! So from experience it is NOWHERE NEAR SAFE to be belted into one of these death traps.... I'll never use a seat belt in a golf cart that just sounds fucking pathetic in my opinion.... What about a dirt bike... Would you rather be strapped to your motorcycle or dirtbike??? I didn't think so so just don't wear the belts John and Ike. I promise you it is more safe to not wear it and to get throws from it instead of being crushed by a 1000 pound cart because believe me when I tell you it is exactly what happened to me and I am lucky I didn't die because I didn't have a helmet.. your cart is nowhere as fast as ours was with a 250 2 stroker in it.. it used to smoke the tires all the way through third gear. Thing was nasty. It had a top speed of 85 when we were done with it. It rocked at the local drag strip. The track was so sticky it would pull the front tires till fourth gear. We welded the rear axle diff so it was two wheel peel .. thing was sick. You guys need to weld y'all's rear end

To ride without a helmet, their state might require other safety features on the buggy.

The Bojangles stop was CRUCIAL!
I had the same thing in my engine. I had to change new cylinder, piston and rings. Now there's no problem with it
The old 670 muffler would make that nice and quiet, I would also find aluminum flywheel with starter ring to put electric start back on. I thought go power sports had a flywheel like that. Another option would see if you could use a starter generator that's belt driven it would be a matter of adding a pulley to drive it.

hey CarsandCameras, I absolutely love your videos. i had the same issue with my 2 stroke engine kit as you do with your bike. My solution to fix this for me was to take apart the float bowl and tighten the tube that goes to the jet in the center. It's a weird carb and the tube is metal, but with it loose it would not go full throttle and just studder when you put full. It also would never idle and would constantly flood the engine if you let off the gas . if you don't have a jet pipe as im making this name up, try adjusting the float or tighten up the jet maybe. it was getting way too much gas and would only run with the choke full on

I had the same problem with my 91 fourtrax it was vapor locking because the fuel lines were too close to the motor.
How is the ignition and spark system work on that ct70. I was having the same issue with my 1986 Honda trx200sx all I did was change the cdi box and the stator and coil and it fixed the issue
Is the vent plugged up on the fuel cap of the CT70. All fine and dandy for a bit after you open fuel cap but after while fuel wont flow.
Would love to see a road trip with the cart and the ct :)

Great cart guys ! I would put a nice quiet muffler and maybe a resonator on it too ! Then sound proof the engine bay.I worked on EzGo's Yamaha's, Harley's when I worked at the golf course for 4 years (year round mechanic). I remember foil faced insulation surrounding the engine, under the seat etc. The Seat pad should be at least 5-6 inches thick.. AND you guys should find a canopy w/windshield for it !! In the rain they're great ! Great video ! Peace !

i have that same problem with my honda xr70 pretty much the same motor just a smaller displacement. It ended up being spark plugs getting fouled.
Here's a challenge! Make a switchable exhaust... one way caddilac quiet for street & drive - thru sorties, one way wide open gnarly for performance

If you take 2 hood gas prop rods and attach one end to the spindle and the other to the center crossmember so you have one on each side it will act as steering stabilizers and keep the it more stable at high speeds. I did it to the 440cc snowmobile powered golf cart on my channel and it made a big difference since I also had sloppy steering.

I'm waiting to see if they get stopped on a noise ordnance. I drove my moped without a muffler while I was waiting for the new one to come in and got stopped by the city police and was told to park it until it was quieter.

check to make sure the gas cap on the minibike is venting correctly. I remember watching a Mustie1 episode where the tank was pressurizing and causing a fueling issue.

I had an issue with a 125 Lifan using the oil cooler. It would run hot with it and when I removed it worked perfect.
