- The OPM OST is just so great, I can't help staying away from it for very long. I say it every time, but Makoto Miyazaki is a genius. Think this might be my favorite ost of all time, definitely one of my favorite shows.
Anyways, I decided to do this cover for RichaadEB's contest because I thought it might push me to work harder / try different things / spend more time on it because these big Orchestral songs tend to give me more problems than say a traditional video game track.
And it did! I easily spent at least twice as much time on this cover as far as virtual instrumentation/mixing/thewholeproduction aspect is concerned. I really wanted to get it to sound as full as possible, and to try and capture even a fraction of how great the song actually is. Really pushed myself / utilized about every trick/technique I know of while doing the virtual instruments, and I'm pretty happy with the how it turned out.
And of course, as it is a metal cover, tried to do as much as I could with guitars while maintaining a happy balance with the orchestral/electronic stuff.

Still haven't seen One Punch Man, but if all of the music is like this, I'd probably like it on that aspect alone.
I could see some people not liking or"getting" its sense of humor, but I don't think anyone could say the music is not great. I'd recommend watching up through the second episode, will give you a good overall impression of the rest of the show

I definitely consider requests, I have done Holy Orders from Guilty Gear X, although its quite old now and not very good
Matthew Beckham It would be so good if you could do a Guilty Gear X2 cover, such Good Customs and Manners or No Mercy. I've heard plenty of Guilty Gear covers on UA-cam and almost all of them are mediocre. I think with the quality that you've been expressing especially in your recent videos I strongly believe that you can do it justice.
I like No Mercy quite a bit, can already hear some little things I could add to it and I think I could do a pretty good version of it, I'm adding it to my list! Thanks for the suggestions!
