that was an amazing comeback from masq, really making use of the fact that whitera pooled all his gas into HTs on one part of the map. microing his forces up top while taking out his buildings at bottom was pretty amazing

This game epitomizes SC II in my opinion, intense action on all fronts, aggressive, fast paced, and a showcase of how a skillful player can grasp victory from thin air. Excellent comeback.

its incredible how calm and cool masq was throughout the entire game. having whitera just blinking all over the place really just makes people want to rage quit. i didn't think he could pull it off without ghosts..but wow. more games from masq plz. he's epic.

First time I see such a good control with marine/marauder. Whitera was everywhere and still Masq managed to permanently conter the harass while still taking down expos and keeping his macro up.
Thumbs up for Masq.

I thought Masq would be in trouble at the start, but he just kept pumping out those marauders and pushed back. It was the most interesting match I've seen so far, and the first with battles on multiple fronts.

Probably the sickest come back replay I've seen. I thought Masq is done for but he pulled it off out of no where. I was like wtf just happened after the game finished. Love hd commentator :D he is the best commentator XD

@FatalCraft Masq's micro was actually quite good, he was dodging storms left and right. WhiteRa needed to get sentries out. He was already teched for them, he just needed to mix a few in and research their spells. I saw a lot of places where a few forcefields to control the choke points could have totally tipped the balance in his favor. It would have let him box in the marauders and get Masq's micro under control.

Can't help but feel some sentries would of really helped with that MMM attack. Maybe some collossus. Such a great economy game, his dropship side harass was awesome to watch. Being able to keep his production buildings with good economy meant a lot of his losses were not big deal, and were all reinforced so quickly. Great game.

That was a great game! I thought for sure that WhiteRa was gonna win that one until about three quarters in when Masq made his comeback. After seeing Masq dominate IdrA and now win against WhiteRa, I wanna see more games from him :D

Keeping WhiteRa busy while making a second attack on the natural was a great move by Masq. I love seeing players using distractions and multi-pronged attacks. Nice complex strategies.

Fantastic game! Whitera almost had it, but Masq pulled off a great turn-around using the cheap and effective MMM. So many storms, which are always exciting. More Masq games please!

The counter attacks are what kept Masq in this game. While WhiteRA was focused on controlling his storms, he did not see his gold getting sniped away, and that was a huge blow to his economy, especially when you're warping in so many high mineral units.

@Ucada I'm mainly talking about where he missed killing the bunker in the natural and when he went into Masq's main and actually didn't do that much damage while losing a little less than half (iirc) of his stalkers. He also could've taken out a few stray units Masq had. Besides those, I would agree WhiteRa did a fine job harassing.

Best SC2 match I've ever watched. AWESOME play from both players, WhiteRa could've prolly gone for a couple of void rays just to scare Masq into making some marines instead of marauders, cause those things are just SO strong against ground, marauders seem kinda crazy :D also Masq could've used some ghosts as has been said before. Awesome, awesome game.

i felt that ra tried to expand too much. i guess he felt he was able to fend off masq with his templars (and he did come out ahead in those battles), but masq had cleverly split his army into 2 or 3 which ra couldnt handle with his fewer troops on the ground. credit to masq, he's super resilient and his troop movement/timing to flank ra's armies or attack two bases at the same time was impeccable.

@JoYoNoMeNow With the units selected, you hold down control or shift and a number and it will bind that unit, building or group to that key. It also places those little icons there. Much faster just to use the keyboard, though.

That game was only kinda close, Masq's supply was over Whitera's by 40 like the entire game. Whitera just had the tech advantage, really. HD accidently made it seem way closer than it was because he barely looked at the army tab, and missed Whitera's gold expansion going down for a while.

@EOSONER Not really. They're a T3 unit so it makes sense that they should be able to pwn a bunch of T1 units.
Also it takes a bit of time to get it all done.

Why doesn't WhiteRa play like this in tournaments? This is the fantastic play he's known for, not horrible use of void rays every game. This game was amazingly played all around.

@ade2bar The fastest/easiest way to do such is to set an army to a control number (ctrl+number) and then double press that number to move the screen to it immediately, move em, then go back to your other army.
A lot of multitasking/micromanaging, but it's a learned thing.

@tuberyou573 meant to counter bioballs maybe, but remember it's all in the usage. That storm takes 4 seconds to deal it's damage, so its target needs to be snared up either by forcefields, or by a combat situation that'd be fatal to turn tail on.

The main reason HD said at 3:20 that White-Ra had the game almost won, was that he did not notice Masq sniping the gold expansion.
