B-Daman Crossfire was the anime series I remember - it came on Saturday mornings on TheCW. It was a fun show, its a shame most of the other series never made it to the US.
Super Sonic88 at that time America is scared of foreign cartoon shows... oh also they still hate sex and nudes. What wrong with them? They’re not cultured enough to understand.
I think Crossfire was bad because they played a game to knockdown the pins instead of fighting each other.... I prefer the anime series that came before.
This was one of my favorite show when I was a child and I've been trying to remember the name for years and I searched "a show where they fight by shooting balls" and this popped up and bloody heck I love this underrated gem
4:25 THIS was the reason I woke up early, it was entertaining! Also there was a series with the B-Daman acting as actual guns? I need to watch that now
I recently watched both crossfire and fireblast i was more of a cartoon network guy back in the day so i watched animes like bakugan, beyblade and yugioh this is a great series but i prefer crossfire over fireblast.
I know it's not a show to be taken seriously, but I loved it so much. It was actually one of my very first introductions to anime and I always seem to revisit it after so many years down the road. I just get these random surges like: "You know what? Time to watch Bdaman again."
they used to sell these bomberman toys in the 25 cent capsule machine in front of some grocery stores in the late 80's/early 90's. they were just like b da man but shot a small bead sized plasic ball instead of a glass marble, and looked more like bomberman.
I love that show. Never miss single episode every week but then exam come and i was unable to watch another 3 episode. Then i was never get to find nor found the show ever again
Here's some news. A few months ago, Takara Tomy released a brand new series of B-Daman called *Cap Revolution Bottleman* as well as Reboot of the B-Daman anime with the same name. This new series consists of the figures called Bottleman, they shoot Bottle caps instead of Marbles, Bottleman are comprised of Four parts which are Core, Arms, Leg, and Headpiece, Bottleman are smaller compared to B-Daman and the Core is shaped like a tiny bottle, the top of the core has a Screw shape that can Accommodate actual Bottle caps from real life Brands such as Coca-Cola. Bottleman are named after brands such as Colamaru which is based off of Coca-Cola or Aquasports which is based off of a sports drink from japan. Bottleman have Three types which are Power, Speed, and Control, and they have a Game on the Nintendo Switch, which is the Very first B-Daman game to be released in years. And that is what Bottleman is.
That's actually have a sequel of cap Kakumei Bottleman dx we have more characters Seimei Usami, Kaori Hakase, Tsubasa Akaushi, Up Nana, Io Eri Hocari Ryo, Sub Roland, Professor Rootbeer, Ponta Hayari citrus, Leo Kinjishi, haku kurenai, zan santa new husbando waifu cough cough.
I can’t be the only one who thought there was only one series and that it never got continued in the U.S. I only remember the series that aired on ABC Family (Jetix).
BRO I’VE BEEN TRYING TO REMEMBER THIS FOR SO LONG THANK YOU I think i found my first and only b-daman at a farmers market or something. It looked like evolto from kamen rider build, but that wasn’t out in 2016
After seeing reviews of old cartoons that covered pretty much anything besides B-Daman, I'm glad to see someone's actually doing a cover on this show. I only saw a few episodes as a kid but I think this is where my love of anime started as a whole. The opening for the B-Legend B-Daman gave me nostalgic chills up my spine and a stupid smile. Thanks for that.
I realize now that there are so many franchises worth reviving, despite the fact that many have either forgotten about them, or don't even know that they exist.
I FINNALY FOUND THE NAMEEEEE i used to love it as a kid but when i went to rewatch it on netflix i had forgoten the name so i spend a phew weeks searching online and to no luck gave up i suddenly remembered it and went to chat gpt since we didnt have chat gpt back then and founf it im so happy rn
Dude B Daman Crossfire was a classic growing up. Never finished it tho and i only got to (SPOILER) where they're at this amusement park or something. Crazy. Got rid of cable not too long after.
I really miss B-Daman its a really big part of my childhood and I remember begging my mom and working hard in school to get one until I finally got Thunder Draycan
Wow, I learnt some things about B-Daman I didn't know from this video. Thank you man. Cool video! Hopefully my spiritual successor series goes down in B-Daman history too.
I remember being in Malaysia, one of the countries to get a direct english dub of Cross Fight B-Daman without the Hasbro licensing(as in it was under Cross Fight instead of Crossfire making these episodes really hard to find since not many people recorded them) and the original opening was kept. I remember listening to it and loving it as well as Cross Fight ES, these were some of my first exposures to B-Daman and I absolutely loved the anime, specifically ES because tbh, the og Cross Fight was just Bakugan but with a more pathetic protagonist. I still enjoy watching both today and rocking to the openings though, like if you were one of those lucky few to watch the og direct dub of the Cross Fight and ES anime
I still have Battle B-Daman on GBA. I don't know about the other games, but it's honestly the best I could ask for in terms of bringing the toys into a game. Anime plot, full B-Daman customization, multiple game modes, I think there was a multiplayer function in there somewhere I never got to play. It was a great way to experience the series when the toys were too expensive or hard to find.
Oh my mfking childhood... Starting from Battle B-Daman, and so forth. Watching them every Saturday at my local TV. Now I realized that since child, anime and Japan culture has impacted me already...
I love videos like this. I remember seeing one of the animes for this as a kid but I had forgotten about it despite seeing a B-Daman Crossfire commercial a while back. Keep up the good work Negative Legend.
Used to be my favorite cartoon as a kid. I used to wake up at 5:30 in the morning every morning so I could watch it at 6. Then I remember the day I found the toys at the local dollar store. I bought so many, and we used to play so much at school.
battle B-daman is one of the few franchises that actualy was a part of my childhood, most other franchises seemed to have disapeared during my childhood.
Anyone here want him to talk about Buddyfight? It was a card game in my school that was even more popular than Yu Gi Oh and Pokémon. I still have my Buddyfight X deck I got from my Japanese friend after I gave him some Magic the Gathering Cards. The anime was also pretty good
Thanks for bringing light to this series I grew up with, I loved this show as a kid and certainly would love to see it come back in America to see my younger family having fun playing and watching
6:57 the Philippines was able to broadcast an English Dub of the Series in the country's version of Toonami, I remember they aired all 50 episodes and I remember it fondly the Takara Versions of these B-Damans
7:33 damnn my friends used to love this op we always wait for it to show up in the Tv and we always had fun and now violence all over the place and 18+ that and there i miss my childhood days 😩
@Roko- OW & Geometry Dash sorry about my 6 month's self for not saying it clearly, Its about our environment, I didn't mean about the TV having violence nor 18+ stuff my friends are perverted nowdays that's what i meant about 18+ and sometimes they get violent as a joke.
Oh my god, I totally forgot about these! Holy Crap, my childhood :DDDD These were *the shit* during recess in the early 2000s! Thanks for reminding me, I know what I'm 'bout to look for in my old stuff ^^
sadly the reason why it dissapeared was because many kids ended up shooting the marbles into their eyes and slightly modifying or simply pressing onto the latches that held the marbles allowing them to fire at unintended force thus causing a few issues with safety. It may seem trivial and technically the amount of force you can simply throw a marble being at the max end of what u can do with that little pushers at the back but despite all this it still caused some injury especially to the eyes as the marbles flew upwards.
I miss this so much 😭 This show was literally my entire childhood along with Pokemon and Beyblade. I really want it to come back. I still some of my b damans but sadly most arw broken or lost except Dravise. Edit: Also i have checked literally almost every toy storw in my country and no nore b daman stuff. ikr in 2020 im watching this and every time he says some rly old date lik 2013 and so on i felt like crying. are you still there? 1 month old bdaman fan?
13:00 The Garuburn DX Set was not Japan exclusive. My main evidence is that in my country, there were boxed of those stocked in Toys'R Us on sale. Pretty pricey back then.
The first game boy advance game I ever got was Battle B-daman. My 3rd grade free time was spent learning about the world through the GBA title. The game was so cool, and I distinctly remember the music and the visuals. I remember that you start with the cobalt blade and that you can interchange parts with a proto system like right off the bat. Best bargain bin haul ever.
Oh yeah,in Asia B-Daman was INCREDIBLY popular here in Asia. While not as popular as it used to,I still find some of its toys here and there.Got to say,it was pretty fun having some of the toys back then.Unfortunately ive lost mine,so sooner or later,B-Daman will be completely deleted from my mind.I still appreciate how much fun it game during my childhood.
I remember buying a b daman, throwing away the instructions, thinking it was a transformer, then taking everything apart, losing the pieces, loving it but with just the core. Fast forward 4 years, at a local thrift shop, I find bdaman for 2 bucks, mint condition, and I bought it. B daman were strange, but nostalgic nonetheless. Comparable to beyblade though (still collect beyblades!)
yooooo, the gba b-daman games were really fun, I'm not going to lie. It uses the Mode 7 effect really well (I know it's modes 3 and 4 layered together on the gba for those who nitpick). Plus you can collect a ton of parts, craft your own b-daman, and fight in a few interesting ways. Unless you want to play the first game to run through the story of season 1 for nostalgia, the second game is a strict upgrade with a few more mechanics and covers the Fire Spirits story. The game play is so fun that I emulate them on my phone and play them on the bus or whenever I have downtime. They are fantastic games for anyone that has any nostalgia for the series
Now this is a show i remember well i only watched Cross Fight B-Daman and eS these were the only ones i grew up with my first every exposure to the world of anime. I watched the hell out of this show i even owned a few B-Daman toys and played against my cousins i really want Cross Fight B-Daman to return just like Bakugan they can get a reboot series
I’m clearing my room and found one and ended up here just wondering wtf it is. I’m guessing my mom found one and bought one for me because it was cool looking.
If you are looking for more B daman est content, a new “B daman” season can be found. Now called Bottleman, it takes the original concept of B daman but replaced the marbles with Bottle Caps to encourage recycling. Episodes can be found on UA-cam, and new Bottleman toys can also be found in select countries around Asia. Theres also a new Nintendo Switch game that has you use your physical figures to fire at digital targets
I had no idea B-daman was so big. I saw like some of the first season but either it was dropped from my channel or I just lost track of it somehow. Like legit there are 200 episodes of this series I've apparently never seen and the sad part is I might be a little to old to be invested into it now.
One thing for sure B-daman crossfire was an underrated gem

Now this is a show i remember well i only watched Cross Fight B-Daman and eS these were the only ones i grew up with my first every exposure to the world of anime. I watched the hell out of this show i even owned a few B-Daman toys and played against my cousins i really want Cross Fight B-Daman to return just like Bakugan they can get a reboot series
Same its such a good anime
I remember having 1 when I was really young and thought it was really cool looking back and now assumed it was gundam. Now I know what it really was
I’m clearing my room and found one and ended up here just wondering wtf it is. I’m guessing my mom found one and bought one for me because it was cool looking.
Never was I expecting a B-daman video out of all things, hope next time it would be Bakuso kyodai Let's go, or just 4Wheel Drive
Bro this was my child hood I really miss it
I loved watching Battle B-Daman alongside reruns of Beast Wars and clips of Kaiju Big Battel.
Grey was my favorite character.
Was never too into the series, but from the lack of information that was found, it doesn't seem like much happened, or is still happening.
The main players in my childhood that vanished: b-daman, buddyfight, and vangaurd. WHYD THEY DISSAPEAR
Oh my god i used to love these as a child and didn't remember what they were called thank you so much
I had no idea B-daman was so big. I saw like some of the first season but either it was dropped from my channel or I just lost track of it somehow.
Like legit there are 200 episodes of this series I've apparently never seen and the sad part is I might be a little to old to be invested into it now.
