    • @sadist8902
      @sadist8902 2 роки тому +40

      It’s because silicone can weight curls down. I have curly hair and I do NOT want that silicone build-up because it’s simply not healthy for my curls. The curly girl method exists for people with wavy/curly hair so if you have straight hair, it’s not going to really do anything for you. I don’t get why straight hair would need to remove silicone.

    You have pretty , nice and healthy hair, the frizz wasn't a big problem it didn't need all of those "silicones" ( silicone in hair products is unhealthy by the way), you could have just deep conditioned it , used serums or neutral oil like almond oil you'd still have pretty healthy moisturized hair with no frizz , my hair is frizzier and curlier and drier than yours and I only use silicone, paraben, sulfate free conditioners, and oils and it's good and shiny and pretty and I never heat style it,my only problem is that 2 years ago most of my hair fell and it hadn't grow back yet and I tried everything none worked, I still have one product to try and then I'll give up once and for all bcz at least the curls give some fake volume to my hair that isn't really there.

    okay ik this vid was posted ages ago but i will clear things up. do not use silicones. it makes your hair look shiny, healthy, silky and smooth but inside its so disgusting and it has terrible chemicals for your hair. instead wash your hair and apply a nice frizz cream and oil to your hair. if u have one, use a bonding treatment to help higher porosity hair. make sure to shampoo twice and not to skip conditioner! now i want to clear up that everyone has beautiful hair and u don't have to take amazing care of ur hair (like these beauty influencers) unless u rlly want to! if ur hair looks like this u probs heat style and u might need to wear ur hair naturally more often.❤❤

It doeent matter if ur hair is damaged or not if u heat style it it makes it looks much smoother silkier . So don't compare ur air dried hair to hers. Alot of these influences just promote the next brand that promotes them and claim thats the product that gives them this air when honestly u just use sleek amd shine garnier and style ur Hair with straightener or blowdry / curler ans you'll have beautiful curls or straight gloss hair. edit: thanks everyone for the help. i now understand that its not necessarily good for your hair but it can definitely help and isn't that bad if you use clarifying shampoo. i have wavy, frizzy hair that gets tangled very easily so i will try using silicones to help with that and use a clarifying shampoo to help with any buildup :)

      But it works for many people! For those who want to use silicones but don't like the excessive build up, use water soluble silicones or clarify regularly

After years of that I think I will just go back to using supermarket shampoo and conditioner and do a weekly clarify. @@Nikkid4 start of by oiling ur hair with conditioning oils like coconut,rosemary,argan oil or olive oil. Applying oil can lock moisture in your hair but it won't happen all at once u need to oil ur hair lightly everyday or every alternative day and u need to deep oil ur hair as a preshower treatment.
      Use shampoos based on your hair type , basically shampoos that you currently use , using sulfate free shampoos are better if u want to get rid of dry hair as sulfate is like a chemical so avoiding could help you out. Always double cleanse ur hair with shampoo.
      For conditioners use conditioners like OGX argan oil of Morocco conditioners. Keep the conditioner in your hair for minimum 10 minutes.
